They did a good job. It was a standard replacement.

Tried to clean it out and immediately said it was not able to be cleaned and needed to be dug up. His best guess is the line was broken and needed to be replaced for $3,000 +/-. This was about 6:00 on a Friday. I was told they needed to pull a permit and would be out Monday. I called another plumber and they shot through the line in about 5 minutes: No digging and no broken line. Capps wanted to charge me for the service and for the permit. Not sure if you can actually pull a permit on a Friday after 6:00 and nothing was done.

Service was courteous professional and complete. I have hired them in the past for repairs on my hot water heater and faucets, they have done an excellent job on all projects.

He came in and offered me coupons for future services right away. He quoted me the price saying that the service call would be $68.00 and the drywall cutting and labor would be $425.00. He told me to go online and see if I could find a Capps coupon for part of the service. I found one for a free service call which I was able to use. He moved furniture and rugs out of the way and placed tarps on the floor. The procedure took about an hour. He then cleaned everything up and used a broom and dustpan to get pieces of the drywall off the floor. He even washed up areas of the kitchen and family room floors where drywall had fallen.

He was on time and respectful of our home. He was very knowledgable about the installation, seals, plumbing connections, and electrical connections.

This company will sell you things you don't need, and will NOT provide timely/quality service (at least until you threaten them with BBB reviews or legal action). Terrible experience and will most definitely not be using them again. Do not fall victim to the gregarious owner trying to smooth talk you; in my view it's all a scam to suck you into complacence.

I have no complaints whatsoever. They did a really good job. I will definitely use them again in the future.

We had used them before. They come on time. They seem to be highly priced, but they stand behind their work.

Started out with a small sewer back up in my toilets ....Capps came to rod out the sewer pipes from the inside of the house.....found that there was blockage . Had the backyard excavated and found and replaced broken clay pipes. 1 month later had water in the basement and found that clay pipes were broken under basement floor - they jackhammered out placed new pipes in and recemented floor ....excellent job ..... The water heater did take a beating and broke during movement and they replaced, no charge. I have used Capps many times over the years and have always been satisfied with their service, Their pricing might come in a little more reasonable than others I have quoted. But plumbing is not cheap no matter where you go. ,

They were very accommodating I thought. They were quick and got the work over and done. So far it’s been holding up well. The quality was very good. I would use their services again in the future.

There was a gas leak after he installed it because he didn’t tighten the pipes properly. They had to come back the same day and charged me for it.

I was very impressed with the work they did for me. They were very professional and had great craftsmanship.

Our sump pump broke and we had flooding in the basement. When we called for an estimate, it was 5 times the going rate. They had hugely inflated their prices, because there was lots of flooding in the area. I will never use or recommend them, because of this. They were gouging people in desperate circumstances. We eventually found an honest pumber who charged us approximately $200, Capps was asking for over $1,000!

Scheduled appointment with assistance from tenants occupying the home. Repairman showed up to review the situation and identified the problems. Developed three estimates; low, medium, and high cost. As the owner of the home, I received a call about the estimate and was asked how I wanted to take care of charges for the service call. I explained when the appointment was booked, arrangements were made with the scheduler that I would mail a check for the expense. I was told by the plumber he was not made aware of this and it wasn't an option; that I had to pay with a credit card. I expressed dissatisfaction with this approach since it wasn't what I had discussed with the scheduler however I paid using a credit card. I called my tenants to explain that I would require another estimate in light of the significant expense. During this discussion with my tenant, I learned the plumber called me by a derogatory name (a b****) when he hung up the phone, and this was heard by both the husband and wife. When I called Joe Capps the owner to discuss his plumber's behavior and explain that I was to have paid with a check, he told me "I was lying about paying with a check because they don't do business this way and that my tenants were lying because he asked his plumber if he referred to me inappropriately and his plumber told him no". Interestingly enough, Joe Capps suggested that "maybe my plumber said you were being bitchy....but would not have called you a b****". I'm shocked that an owner of a family business would imply that calling a customer "bitchy" would be acceptable. I would not recommend this business to anyone given the lack of professionalism demonstrated by the plumber who came to the house or the behavior from the owner of the company.

Working with Capps was a nightmare. I have used them in the past with good luck, but the people are all different now. The plumber came out, looked things over and quoted me a price of $800 to replace the ejector pump and re-pipe some PVC. The price seemed high but I OK'd it. He took hours to complete the job which led me to believe he did not know what he was doing. After completion he gave me a bill for $1,242. When I asked why the bill was higher he said that the job entailed more work than he expected. $150 of the extra charge is marked as combo ball and check valve, the rest for additional piping. I signed the paperwork, which included an after-the-fact authorization for all of the work done, and paid by check, but felt cheated because since he looked things before quoting me I feel he should not have been charging extra (surely he should have had a check valve in the original quote). The next day there were several leaks in the PVC joints. I called a representative from the plumbers Union who said this is a failure of basic plumbing skills. I felt cheated and put a stop payment on the check. I was planning to pay them the original $800 then get someone else to fix the piping leaks, but my wife was freaking out about the stop payment so I agreed to let Capps come back and fix the leaks under their guarantee. After fixing the leaks the plumber asked me not to touch the joints for several hours. I again called the representative from the plumbers Union who said that these joints seal immediately. I'm thinking he must have just coated the leaks. There is now one sporadic leak. I will not allow Capps back in my house, guarantee or no guarantee. My wife now sees why.

They offer 24 hour service and I have used them in the past for plumbing emergencies. They are extremely responsive and I think they are great.

They gave me a time frame of noon-2 pm, which was a small window. This guy was there by 12:20, took a look at the problem, could do the repair onsite and was gone in less than an hour. He was friendly, efficient, a little chatty, but he got right to business and gave me the bill and was on his way. I didn't have to waste my whole afternoon. I was very pleased with the work. He was prompt and professional. I feel the price was reasonable. Our association referred them. They were easy to deal with and I would recommend them to anyone. I would be happy to use them again.

I called him to get some estimates. They ended up being the most reasonable and they didn't bother charging me for coming out on a Saturday. He was the cheapest and I appreciated that he didn't take advantage of that. He was very informative and communicated well with me. I will definitely use him again in the future.

They arrived same day. Very professional. Did a great job solving the problem. A little pricey.

They charged me a lot of money. It was worth it I suppose because I didn't have any heat, but I had to call them Monday to install my water heater. I was charged 300 dollars for nothing but a call. They told me I needed a new pump and said it would be another 1400 dollars. I was so drastically over charged.

I called Capps to install a kitchen faucet. The person quoted a total price of $291 for the faucet and labor. Unfortunately, the plumbing technician insisted on charging me an extra $36 for parts.

They had to come over 2 times to complete the job correctly. They guy was not qualified to do the work. He had to call his boss to find out how much to charge. I feel like I was being taken advantage of because it was a Sunday and they worked 7 days a week.

They came in the middle of a snow storm when nobody would. We have used them before. They aren't the cheapest, but they are not the most expensive either. They seem to know what they are doing. They were courteous and clean.

They came to fix my leaky sump pump after we moved into our house. They just had to put on a new piece of pipe which connected two of the pipes and insure that it was screwed on tightly. They charged us $300.00 for this and then quoted us some ridiculous price to do some other work (that we were told by another plumbing company wasn't necessary!). The next day I was giving my baby lunch and heard water in our basement - I went downstairs and there was water spraying everywhere from the sump pump. With my baby upstairs and no one else home I had to move furniture, etc. out of the way so it wouldn't get wet and call Capps plumbing to come back. The guy on the phone gave me a hard time about the issue, instead of just saying "We'll be right there" he was trying to see if the problem required his plumbers to come back out. Needless to say they came quickly and the new piece that had been used to solve the leaking problem hadn't been screwed on. I asked for a refund for the work done or at least a credit for future services which wasn't given. I got a sorry and a guy telling me that I needed a new special kind of sump pump that was going to run me $7,000+!!! And once again, another plumber told me that wasn't necessary! If you have any plumbing needs use Keystone Companies, they are a little pricey but get the work done right from the beginning.

I called for an estimate, but when they showed up they gave me a higher price. After I complained, they honored their original estimate price. All throughout the experience, it seemed like there was too much "game playing." Their response to my problems was "Get a new sink" or "Get a new heater," but that's not what I needed. I wish they would have shown me a couple things they found and how they left it. I had another plumber come out who gave me a more thorough idea of what my home will need shortly, which is what I needed to hear from the beginning. I called the office a little later and found out the man who did the work at my home "no longer worked there." The area that they fixed began leaking in November and is still leaking to this day (February 27, 2009).
