ASHLAND MILLWORK

6 weeks turning into 6 months. My GC chose Ashland Millwork to provide the trim, doors, and windows for my renovation project. The windows were largely done well (with the exception of one incorrect size being ordered), but the trim and doors were a completely different story. To start, the rep showed up 30 minutes late to our first appointment with no communication that he was running behind. When everything was finally ordered in mid-November, we were quoted 6 weeks for delivery. We are now past mid-March and we still do not have our full order delivered to the site and one of the doors is expected in May. To top it all off, the rep has been completely unresponsive to messages - I have not heard an update on my order for a week despite 5 messages and the claim that the remainder of the order would be in early this week (pushed back multiple times already). The least they could do is communicate well if they aren't going to deliver on their commitments. I was given no flexibility to cancel my order when these ridiculous delays started and other than a vague "we'll see if we can do a discount", there have been no efforts to make this right.

We drove out to their facility to work with them. Told the sales person what we were looking for, he showed us what he thought we wanted, we were not thrilled. He stepped away and another guy came out and said I think this is what you are looking for. YES, our guy came back and said "oh sorry, that is new product and I have not worked with it very much" I asked how new? his response "6 months" That is NOT new! Quoted us 8 weeks, we called to check on our order after 7 and was then told it was a 12 week lead time. Nobody thought it prudent to call and tell us that? we got the windows, the quality is amazing from Kolby. We had 3 sets of french doors and did not get the hardware. my GC called our guy who proceeded to blame the subcontractors for losing it. our GC went round and round, so I called and spoke with someone in charge after scouring everything for those handles. The man in charge then blamed the subs, so I said we need hardware, order it and I am not happy about paying for it twice. After doing some research, he called me back and said it was never ordered therefore never delivered. one of our windows got broken so we had to contact them to order another one, what a nightmare, no one talks to anyone else so we went round and round until finally service ordered the one window and then they just showed up to deliver it, thank goodness I happened to be home. I would never recommend them to anyone. Kolby please find another distributor for everyone else' sake

Our contractor subcontracted with Ashland millwork, who worked with Hurd to design and produce a custom window to fit our space. Ashland came to take measurements, sent a mock up of the window, and produced it. Our general contractor did the installation. We were very pleased with the result.

From start to finish it was a pure joy. We had interviewed 2 other window suppliers that made us feel pressured and hassled from the beginning. Our sales rep, Geoff Moore, was dream to work with. He was very informative and explained all our options and available configurations . The order was placed and the windows delivered within the estimated time. Anna and Chris in the office were professional and very helpful with our questions and the delivery and payment process. We would not hesitate to recommend Ashland Millwork for you window needs.

They provided us with the highest quality and standards. They delivered them in a timely manner and for free. The price was friendly.

I was pretty unhappy because the door's swing direction was wrong. When I contacted the company, they said that they had disposed of the drawing I had given them so they couldn't prove that THEY were at fault. They did take the door back and change the swing direction, but not before they charged me another $200+. It left me pretty unhappy.
