Our dining room set is over 40 years old, and over the holidays one chair back was severely cracked along both sides. We weren't sure it was even repairable. We brought it into Ageless, and within a few days -- and for only $60! -- they had it fully repaired. You can hardly notice where the work was done.

. We had a diagonal end table in our living room with total inlay top with a glass protection. When we had gone a vacation we had entrusted my wife’s aunt with watering the plants. She over watered and the water got in between the glass protector and just destroyed the inlay work. We were able to get these people to come out. He examined it and he felt he could restore it. He came picked up the piece and it was probably out of the house for three to four week. He returned and we are just delighted. When we bought it was valuable and it was ir-replaceable because the company had gone out of business. So we were very happy that he could do what he did. What was good about him was that he had a very good work ethic in the sense that when he brought it back us he said that what he did was not quite perfect. But it was 100% better than what it had been. Basically it was something that we looked at and we were sick and we did not want to keep the piece. He was able to restore it to the point of a treasure possession that we have in the living room. I would use them in the future
Description of Work: . We had AGELESS FURNITURE RESTORATION to come and restore a diagonal end table with inlay work.

Every step of the way, service was great.
Description of Work: We had our "puppy distressed" coffee table repaired as well as our dining room chairs. With the way the table looked, I thought the only thing I could hope for was that it would not look too bad. Instead, what he did was nearly miraculous. It looked brand new. I wish I had taken a before and after picture to post to show people the quality work.

I first visited and dropped my rocker with Len Olson in mid January. He is a delightful person and gave me some perspective on my rocker. He spent a lot of time with me on that visit. He has a caning person on site and I was able to meet her as well. Again, a friendly person. Len gave me an estimate for the work and informed me that he would not be able to start the job until February 1. It is a small operation with the "caner"-and one additional part time employee(from my observation). The caner is actually an independent that rents space from Len. The estimate for completion was 2/15. His estimate was between $245 and $265. He called us in the beginning of the month and asked if we could come in to discuss the stain color. We went in around 2/7 and Len showed us different options. He took out some scrap wood and applied a few different shades of stain to it-from this we selected our color. Again, the shop was busy with customers and he spent more time than he probably should have with us. At that time, Len told us the chair would be completed the end of the next week or 2/21 at the latest. I called again on 2/21 and left a message. I called again on 2/25 and started to leave a message when Len picked up the phone. He apologized for not getting back to me and told us we could pick the chair up the next day(2/26). I picked up the chair and I could not have been happier with the results-the chair is beautiful. The extra wait did not really matter to me, but if it is important to you, remember this is a small operation and quality takes precedence over promptness.
Description of Work: We had an antique oak pressed back rocker that was partially stripped and in need of repair. The needed repairs included caning the seat bottom and a crack in the seat bottom that was previously repaired with nails. This crack was on the seat bottom where one of the main upper seat supports connected to the seat bottom.

I stopped by their place of business and S/W Len Olson and described my problem. He stated he could probably repair them and asked me to bring them in. After looking at the chairs he said he could repair them for about $25 each. He called me the NEXT day and said they were done. They felt sturdier than when we originally bought the set. Len said he has done this to chairs for the past 3-4 years and has not had anyone bring them back because the glue has failed. He said if I had any problem to bring them back. Mr. Olson is very cordial and friendly. While at his shop I saw an article about his business that was written by the Chicago Tribune in June of 2005.
Description of Work: Re-glued six wooden formal dining room chairs. Chairs had become wobbly do to the glue drying out.
