Mitch and his crew at Wet Works did an exceptional job for a really reasonable price in a completely professional manner! We had other companies bid the job, and Wet Works was the only company that treated it like a real job. One of the other companies said that it barely met their minimum requirements, so they would be forced to charge us a set rate. Another company kept trying to get us to increase the scope of the job because it wouldn't be worth their while to come out otherwise. Mitch bid the exact job and didn't act like what we needed was insignificant and not worth his time. The whole process was so smooth. We had to get a permit and have a pre-inspection, and Mitch was so responsive throughout. He kept in close contact through email and responded promptly to our questions. The finished product is gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. I can't even say that he handled any problems that came up because there were LITERALLY no problems at all with the whole process. I know that our project was not big enough for other companies, but it was important to us, and Mitch did a fantastic job for us. I can absolutely recommend him and his crew without any hesitation.

Thank you for the wonderful review. We give 100% to all our customers......big job or small. Concrete replacement is not a cheap project. Some people save for years to replace concrete at there homes. It's a big expense for most people. We spare no expense to do the job correct. Not only did we make the concrete looks nice, structurally it will last longer than me. Thanks again.

Great. Mitch kept in touch with us as we waited for our Permit. He and his crew were here when they said would be. They worked hard, listened to what we wanted and completed a very nice job!! We are happy with the finished product and glad we had it done! Now the garage drains out and the driveway drains toward the drain!! Like it should! Yea! We would hire them again if we have more concrete work to be done.
Description of Work: We had our concrete garage floor taken out and a new one poured. Also our asphalt driveway and 4 sidewalk squares were removed and replaced with concrete.

We came across a hidden storm sewer under the Asphalt Apron. Never seen this before. Great job by the township to raise the sewer cover to the proper height. Had to deal with some very hot weather. Early morning concrete pours. Hard to sleep well under these conditions. The out come was very good.

Mitch and his crew are the nicest people! I loved working with them, and they did a superior job on my front walk. They consulted with me, gave advice and listened carefully to my ideas and completed the job in a day leaving my yard in good shape and a brilliant new walk. It was indeed a pleasure!

The estimator (Mitch) was prompt, professional, and helpful. His estimate to replace the concrete walk was available the same day. Ultimately, I chose to take a different (less expensive but higher risk) approach of raising/repairing the walk. But, if that doesn't work or if I need other concrete work done, I will contact Wet Works and I recommend them to others.

Mitch and his team were excellent. Not only did he show up on time to all appointments, but each of the areas he worked on looks incredible. On top of that base work, Mitch also went above and beyond what I would have expected a concrete company to do (shown below). If you're considering Wet Works, I strongly encourage you to use them. He's the kind of guy who would do anything to make sure you're satisfied, even if it's more work. -We wanted the electrical conduit under our patio done a certain way, and he worked to make it happen -He came out to our house a day before the job started to make sure everything was in a good place. We told him that we wanted the old fence removed at some point, and he hopped in the bobcat and removed the whole thing. Then we mentioned that the tree stump was annoying next to the driveway, and he removed that. -He was ready to redo some of the concrete work he had already laid after we noticed some water pooling. He suggested an alternative solution that worked even better to solve the issue. -He realized that the bobcat wouldn't fit through our lower garage, so he rented a jackhammer to break up the old concrete in the garage instead. -He was extremely responsive through calls/texts throughout the job on issues uncovered or scheduling concerns with weather.

The front walk to the curb went perfectly and as described. The walk from the drive to the front stoop had an issue where the slope of the driveway didn't match the sidewalk. However, they overcame this by cutting out a section of the driveway and repaving it level with the sidewalk!

I contacted Wet Works Concrete and asked for a quote on a small job, since their ad says "No job too small". I received a terse reply that my job was in-fact, too small for them to bother with ( about 1.5 yards for the record ). I suggested to Wet Works that if they have a minimum job size, they should not advertise to the contrary. Their entire reply on October 20th was, and I quote... " No job to small" does not mean " Have a clue" I'm not actually sure what that means. It may have been intended as an insult to me, in which case, I graded them an F for professionalism. Or, it may have meant that they only accept customers who have no clue... but again, that's an F grade. Caveat emptor, but I wouldn't let these guys anywhere near my property.

From the initial phone call to the completion of the work, Mitch was prompt, professional, and polite. He came out promptly to provide an estimate and followed up with an email within hours with the costs. Once we decided to go with Mitch, he provided a 2-day window of when he would be available and stuck to it. On the day of the work, he showed up exactly on time and began work immediately. The job had a few wrinkles due to tree roots and a not-so-easy-to-get-to-location. However, Mitch and his guys never wavered. They worked with me, offered suggestions, and the result was a fantastic solution with no delay in service and he stuck to his initial estimate. He and his crew were great - they cleaned up like they were never even there. When it comes to needing work of this sort in the future, I will not hesitate to work with Mitch again. Well done!

I called Mitch as he said "no job too small" in his description. This was a small concrete job, adding to an existing old 1-car garage foundation that I'm using as a patio. It was technically difficult, as it required hand excavation immediately adjacent to an existing fence. As my work schedule makes it difficult to meet a contractor, Mitch was kind enough to estimate the project while I was at work and called to discuss the issue. His cost was reasonable considering the hand-work involved. The project was done in a very timely manner, and Mitch used a creative approach to ensure the concrete was placed right up to the fence for a seamless look. Excellent communications all the way through -- he even texted a picture of the work while it was being done! I would use Mitch again for any concrete work I needed done -- he is the epitome of the quality contractor you want for your house.

Mitch was one of the only vendors to call me back after starting my search last fall. It seems that all the concrete businesses in the Chicago Western Burbs have been booked up--some of the highly rated ones didn't even respond--especially for a non-driveway project. So, I appreciated his responsiveness from the start. Because we got started early in the season, we had to wait out the weather several times to begin work, but Mitch kept me posted on when he thought they could try. And then, when the weather finally started warming above 50 degrees, I had some restrictions with my schedule because I was in the process of showing my home for sale. Mitch and crew came on a Wednesday to break up and dispose of the the existing concrete, dig the necessary "trenches" (cutting out patches of grass), and get the stakes inserted for the pouring. On Friday (the next available "good weather day"), they returned in the morning and promptly poured the concrete. They did a nice job, were very tidy, courteous and easy to work with. I've received many compliments on the new walkways, particularly the one leading up to the front door, which was most important to me since it's the first impression that a potential buyer could have! This was a fairly simple job, but would highly recommend them and consider using them again for a larger job down the road.

It was a bigger job than we thought.... but Mitch quoted us a good price, showed up on time, cleaned up and made the whole process relatively painless. The guys were very careful stepping around the plants (100% survival!).. it was one day for removal of the old mess and preparation of the site, one day to pour the concrete and the third day (just a couple of hours) to remove the forms, cut lines in the concrete and put everything else back. Everything happened just a we were told it would and the driveway (and the new sidewalk) look great! We have a new addition coming up and will be hiring Wet Works to do all of our concrete flat work (patio, path etc) when it's done

We contacted three providers requesting quotes and availability. WW was by far the most reasonable and available, in part due to weather preventing them from working on outdoor projects. Mitch came right away to quote, and then started the job two days later with a helper. They had an additional crack to fill and didn't adjust the original estimate. We found them to be everything we'd want in a provider: Quick, polite, experienced and fair in pricing. He provided the receipt we needed for buyers of our house with no problem, and offered to submit his certifications and insurance materials if needed.

It went very well and they did a very nice job. We had an existing stoop that had been sinking over the years and they were able to rip that out and move the existing sidewalk and make it bigger. They helped through the design and were good. The guy came in and did the job at no extra cost. The price was between $1000 and $1200. Mitch replaced the front stoop which was causing a leak into my basement and 2 squares of my walkway in April of 2012. By June 2012, less than three months after he replaced the sidewalk, a crack appeared in one of the squares near the stoop.. I called Mitch, he came over and looked at the crack and said let?s see how it looks after the winter. I know these get worse and not better but I was distracted with other problems so I agreed. A few months ago, July 2013 or so I called him to come over and replace the square as he had agreed to do. instead he gave me an argument saying he had saved my f*king house and that I didn?t know as much about concrete as he did. Ultimately he agreed to do the replacement. and said he would call the day before he came.. That was about 7 weeks ago. I have called three times since with no return call. I am really disappointed with the response I've gotten and with the lack of pride in ones work.

So the front of [member name removed] house had been rotting away for 30 years. We broke out the 2 squares of walk and then the front landing(8' x 4'). With all the concrete removed you could stick your head right into the basement. The outside box and the bottom plate were gone. Completley rotted away. The floor joist were being held in place by the subfloor above. So for 30 years this has been going on. Water in the basement, hmm? It was only a matter of time before the front door wouldn't open and the foyer would sag and bounce. Thus causing the tile to crack and grout to start popping out. I run across this quite often. If no flashing(rubber or aluminum)is not installed against a house prior to pouring concrete, the wood behind it will rot away. Knowing there was a problem I came prepared. It took me and two guys all day to replace the rotten wood and frame for the pouring back of the concrete the next day. Being such a small amount of concrete I poured the front landing and 2 squares of sidewalk monolithic.I took all precautions adding wiremesh and re-bar connecting the walk with the landing. Unfortunately the walk cracked about 4" away from the front landing. Why? You have to ask mother nature. So [member name removed]called me and I came and looked at the crack. I told him to leave it alone, it is one piece being held together with wiremesh and re-bar. Well [member name removed] called back the next year and wanted the first square of sidewalk replaced. I agreed to replace it and told [member name removed]I would come by the next day to look at the walk. That's when [member name removed]snipped at me and said "don't bother(coming by) unless you plan on replacing it". Well that comment and [member name removed]' tone of voice put me on the defensive. Further on in the conversation [member name removed]stated that his "adviser" said I didn't do the job correctly. I should have had expansion between the walk and front landing. Well that set me off. Prior to this conversation I had all intensions of replacing the walk for [member name removed]. But,no person needs to be treated that way. [member name removed]blew it, not me. [member name removed]didn't look at the big picture. All he looked for was to win and get something free. A general contractor would have been three times my cost, minimum! I felt me and my guys went above and beyond the call of duty. Too bad [member name removed] turned out to be such a scrooge. I don't need this on my record!
Mitch returned my call for a quote quickly and submitted a quote in two days. Other contractors took weeks and some couldn't do the job. Wet Works was selected and did a great job. I would use them again. Thanks, Terry

I called Mitch at Wet Works for an estimate. He arrived at the agreed upon day and time to provide the estimate. He listened carefully to my concerns about the slope of my driveway and addressed them. We set another time to have the job done and he was prompt and performed the work just as we had discussed. I don't think that anyone else could have done the work any better. UPDATE: We discovered a damaged item at our home. We left a message asking if Wet Works had any information about the damage. My husband received a return call and was told that they were surprised that we noticed the damage and that they were sawing rebar in that area. We requested that the item be replaced (Approx $40-$50) and it was agreed to. Mitch was supposed to come by our house on Saturday and was a no-show. As stated above, the work he did was excellent but he didn't handle the subsequent damage issue well at all. So because of this I am changing my answer to would I use this provider in the future to "no" and professionalism to "fair".

To set the record straight. When I talked to your husband and said "i'm suprised you noticed". I was refering to the burn marks on the ground were the re-bar was cut. Somehow in your conversation with your husband you twisted my words around and found me guilty for something neither my co-worker or I had done.
