DUPAGE VACUUM CLEANER REPAIR

Brought in my vacuum for repair and as always the price is fair, turnaround is quick (or as quick as possible if they need to order a part) and the service is friendly. In fact I own a cleaning company - own 30 plus vacuums and would never bring them anywhere else for repair! Great third generation business!!!

I felt that since I purchased a great deal, they did the minimum amount of work. I had to slide a sofa before they would clean that area. In the end, I saw no difference in how the carpet looked.

I dropped off the vacuum on Nov 18 and explained to the young gentleman what the issues were. My husband spent a lot time on the phone with Electrolux diagnosing the issues. We needed a new valve and another part that released the hose was sticking. The vacuum was functioning, just not at 100%. The young gentlemen stated it could be weeks before they received the parts. He said needed to look at it in order to determine the right parts that needed to be ordered and they would call me in a few days. They never called me even after I left a voice mail a few days later. I called them again on Tues, Nov 23 to see if they were open so I could come get my vacuum and use it while they waited for parts. The young gentlemen said that would be fine. He reiterated that they needed to order the parts. I stopped in the next day to pick up the vacuum and an older man named Bruno who is the repair man and owner said oh, your vacuum is done, we replaced the parts. I said just yesterday I was told you needed order the parts. He said I am the repairman and I?m telling you I fixed it. So I proceeded to check my vacuum and come to find it?s not repaired at all. I showed Bruno that it still had the issues I brought it in for. The hose latch sticks so he starts jamming the hose in and out very roughly. I had to ask him to stop before he broke something else. He got very rude with me and said, ?What do you want me to do?? I said fix it. He said I have 6 of these Electrolux?s in my shop right now for repair, they?re junk. I said I don?t care about those other vacuums. I?m only concerned about mine, you said you fixed it and it?s not fixed. In a rude tone he said, ?What do you want me to do about it, you bought the thing.? Then he said he?d need to order parts. So he flat out lied to me when he told me he fixed it and replaced the parts. I found Bruno to be very rude. I took my vacuum and left. When I got home I called Electrolux and explained what happened. I wanted them to know that their chosen warranty repair person thinks their product is junk. Is this who they want fixing their product? I also wanted to make sure Bruno did not charge Electrolux for warranty repair work on a vacuum he didn?t fix. We will now take our vacuum to another dealer. It?s a farther drive but I would never let Bruno or DuPage Vacuum repair anything. Oh and the shop smells really bad, it smells very old and musty.
