From start to finish the people from Best were responsive and professional. They took a bathroom that was frankly an embarrassment, and made it the best room in the house. Everyone at Best was easy to talk to and informative. Steve and Dave had great suggestions for how to lay out the tile and set up new lighting. They made the remodel straightforward and worked hard to ensure that my one and only bathroom would be as functional as possible throughout the process. Though I had issues with the supplier, Best was there ASAP to get the late fixtures, lighting, etc installed. I?m saving for a kitchen remodel next and my first call will be to Best.

He is kind and patient and responded to e-mails within an hour to see how he could answer a question or help out. He helped make suggestions to make the remodel turn out beautiful!

The job Best Home Renovations exceeded all of our expectations. Having had a bad tile installation experience in the past, we were very nervous about having this project done. My husband and I tend to be perfectionists. We are not always easy to please. Steve's work was superb from start to finish. We are extremely happy and will definitely use them in the future.

Hire Best Home Renovations! We interviewed and got bids from at least 8 other companies for our bathroom remodeling project so we knew a lot about what to expect. Steve Best (the owner), and all of his employees, exceeded all our expectations hands down. Steve's quote was the best (pun intended), but that's the least of our satisfaction with Steve. We had a dozen of questions before signing with Steve and he was very responsive in answering and providing the information we needed in order to make our final decision to sign with him. He arranged a starting date and sent Dave to do the demolition and rough in the shower. Dave arrived on time (there's a surprise if you've worked with other contractors). Dave was friendly and without doubt the cleanest contractor I've ever seen. He explained what he was going to do and what the next stages were in the project. When he finished for the day, the work area and the rest of the house were spotless. We ordered the tile and Steve picked it up for us. He called us on Sunday night to asked about our selection. We had made a huge error in our size selection and Steve wanted to talk with us about it. Clearly we made a big mistake and Steve wanted to be sure we rethought our choice before installation. We picked out the correct tile and Steve returned our error - without charge. Rebecca is Steve's customer service representative and was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was timely in her response and I could tell that she really enjoyed her work because she worked hard to make our experience with Best Home Renovations a satisfactory one. Steve and his crew were very friendly, helpful in guiding us through our project, providing us with suggestions (tile design, grout color, shelf and soap dish location), and once again, very clean and respectful of our home. We've worked with a number of contractors in the past and Best is at the top of our list. This is a quality company lead by a quality individual that is reflected in his work and his employees. Our shower is spectacular, thanks to Steve. I would recommend Best Home Renovations without reservations for any project you have.

One of the best experiences I have had with a contractor! Steve and his crew were fabulous! From the time Steve came over to the house to give us an estimate to the last day on the job, everything was completed in a very professional manner. The renovation took about 4 weeks and every day they said they would be at the house, they were there on time. They picked up each day when they were done and never left a mess. They finished the job on time and at the estimated cost I was given at the beginning of the project. The results blew me away! Steve did an amazing job with the tile work and floors and his subcontractors did an awesome job with the rest of the work. When minor issues came up, Steve and Rebecca handled them immediately. I can not say enough great things about how easy this renovation was and how quickly everything came together. The bath room looks terrific and we could not be happier!

This company is one of those that promotes a discount if you buy into their program. With the Angies deal, the discount we got was comparable to the member discount on the job for which we called them. The contractor gave us quotes on a couple of other plumbing jobs we have. We did not want that work done at this time. The contractor fixed our broken drain in a professional and effective manner.

We decided to go with another company whose bid was a bit lower and could start right away.

They did a very nice job with everything and were extremely professional in everything they did. They were always in contact via e-mail and texting to notify us of next steps and upcoming work that was going to be done. This was extremely refreshing as some of our recent dealings with contractors has been everything less than professional. They were an absolute pleasure to work with and I would recommend them to anyone!

After researching several options for my master bathroom makeover, I chose Best Home Renovations. I recently purchased a home in the Wheaton area, and I loved everything about the home except for the master bathroom, it seemed dated. I had a vision of the design that I wanted, I just needed someone to execute the vision. I am EXTREMELY picky and detail oriented, so I was looking for someone that would be as detail oriented as I am. After reading reviews on Angie's List, I contacted Best Home Renovations and began communicating back and forth with Andrea Best, it became very clear that Best Home Renovation was the clear choice for me. They did an absolutely phenomenal job! I purchased the materials, and worked with them to execute my vision. They were prompt, trustworthy, professional, clean, honest, everything that you would look for in a renovation company. I always felt secure having them in my home, even when I was not there. I cannot speak highly enough of Dave (their general contractor), Steve Best (tile professional) and Andrea (my contact and project manager). Their work ethic, quality of work, and communication was absolutely top notch. They even worked over regular business hours to hit some hard deadlines that I had. They always searched for solutions to keep my cost down while supplying the finished results that I required. The finished product looks amazing! Do yourself a favor, if you are looking to do a bathroom or kitchen remodel?.don't waste your time and money with any other company. Go straight to Best Home Renovations! You will not be sorry! These are consummate professionals. They know what they're doing. Would use them again in a minute.

Called me back the next day after I left a message. Got a quote back to md promptly. We didn't use them because their price was twice what everybody else quoted.

Best Reno was able to move up our start date (with our okay) by a few days. When they realized that we did not need a new sub floor the credited us for that amount. We had to purchase the tile, vanity, etc but they were able to get us a discount for just about everything. It took almost two weeks but juggling the scheduling of the painter and the non delivery of some of the items for the powder room held us up. They were very accomodating and we were flexible too. Other than picking out the different items for the update the only thing we had to do was stain and seal the new baseboard for the entry. We had tile cut and used for the baseboard in the powder room and the whole thing looks fantastic. We would definitely utilize their services again and have in fact already talked to Steve about another job in the not too distant future.

These guys are the best without a doubt. It is the second project, within a year, that we have used this company and we couldn't be happier. Every aspect of their operation is top shelf. I wish they sold cars, groceries, dry cleaning, cable or any other product or service cause if they did I would use them. No kidding!! They clearly have done their homework on how to run a business from the 1st email to follow up after the project is complete and everything in between. Overall, it went well. They were quick to respond to emails and phone call for the most part. They completed the work quickly and in the middle of the terrible winter we just had. They actually came slightly under the initial estimate. When they removed all the old tile they realized that the subfloor was essentially nonexistent and they had to do more work than anticipated, but they still got the job done quickly and it didn't really affect the cost. A few months after the work was complete, I noticed some of the caulk in the shower was coming up. I notified them and they agreed to come and fix it for free (it is part of the work warrantee). The only real negative was that the company they recommended to install the glass door in the shower was not as easy to schedule as Best was. However, the finished work on the door was good quality.

When the owner arrives to see what you'd like done, and removes his shoes at the door--you know there will be attention paid to the details!!! I could not be more pleased and am totally satisfied with the outcome of my project.! The quote was emailed to me with the discount shown that I'd not expected and it WAS affordable. Dave who was first and last on the project was outstanding in professionalism,ability and personality. Steve and Alex did the tile work and it turned out beautiful. Mark's grout work just set it all off perfectly. The daily cleanup knocked my socks off it was so good. Emails back and forth with Rebecca in the office was like having someone hold my hand and reassuring me it would all turn out beautifully. And it did!! The work of the entire team (including dry wall and painters)connected with this fine company truly makes it ... THE BEST!!!!!

I dealt with Andrea and Rebecca by phone and email. They were always polite and responsive. I just emailed them pictures of the tub and shower, and they emailed me an estimate without having to come out. Very convenient. When the project started, Dave came out and ripped out the old tile and green board. He was very nice and did a great job. Then Steve came out to do the tiling. All we had to do was supply the tiles, they supplied the grout, caulk, sealant, etc. Steve had some great ideas and we followed his advice. We are definitely very happy with the results and would, and probably will, use again. Thanks Steve, Andrea, and crew.

I had carpet installed in my basement when I bought my new construction townhome five years ago. With four cats, it didn't take me long to realize that was a bad choice since their litter boxes are down there. Having the carpet replaced with tile and having to deal with contractors overwhelmed me though and I kept putting it off. But finally I decided to do it. I found Best Tiling (now Best Home Renovations) on Angie's List and sent them an email explaining that I didn't have a clue how to move forward with this project. Andrea responded via email the very next day and just the tone of her email put me at ease. She scheduled an estimate for me later that week. As it turned out, I had to reschedule and Andrea worked with me to get that done. When Steve came to do the estimate, he was on time and very pleasant and friendly. He answered all of my questions and put me at ease about doing the project. The following day, I received my estimate via email. All I had to purchase was the tile. So I decided to go for it and worked with Rebecca at Best Tiling to get the job scheduled. Rebecca was also delightful to work with. I asked if she could recommend a tile store and she suggested The Tile Shop in Lombard. Rebecca got me scheduled for the following month and I paid my deposit with a credit card . In the meantime, I went to The Tile Shop to do some tile shopping. The person that Rebecca referred me to at the store was also extremely pleasant and helpful. I found some beautiful tile, ordered the amount on my estimate and scheduled it for delivery. The tile was delivered the following week and I was good to go. On the first day of the install, Steve and team arrived promptly on Tuesday morning. They were all so nice and asked me if I had any questions. I did have a couple of questions and they were asked and answered. Demolition lasted half the day and they got quite a bit of tile down that first day. Enough for me to see that I had made an excellent choice of tile! The next day, they put down the rest of the tile. On Thursday, the tile was grouted and the rounded baseboard (it has a fancy name that I don't remember) was installed. On Friday, Steve sealed the tile. I remember on Friday morning while I was waiting for Steve to arrive, I sat at the bottom of the basement stairs and just stared at the new floor. It was simply beautiful! The whole process was so easy and everyone I worked with at Best Tiling was wonderful! I am so happy with the results that I am already planning my next tiling project - a kitchen backsplash! I very strongly recommend Best Home Renovations to anyone who has tiling needs. They are AWESOME!

I initially left a phone message. I got a call back from Rebecca asking for pictures of the kitchen. I emailed the pictures along with a drawing of the proposed backsplash design. I had previously purchased the tile. I had a question on how an "outside" corner would be done since there were no bullnose trim pieces for this tile. She reviewed the pictures with Steve and he explained that he will use special travatine "pencil tiles" to form the outside corner and also use them to finish the open ends and tops where necessary. She quoted a price (with the 10% senior discount), emailed a contracted. I accepted. Scheduled the installation. The 2-man crew arrived on time and completed the installation in about 3 hours. The next day, another crew member arrived to finish the job: grouting, 2 coats of sealer and clear silicone caulk where the tile and granite butt up. The final product was exceptional. Steve is very detail oriented and took his time to ensure a good installation. The final cost and the estimate was the same. I would hire them again.

Best Tiling & Bath, as they were called when I contracted with them, grabbed my attention after I read all the glowing reviews on Angie?s List. I quickly became comfortable with doing business with them after my first conversation with their Client Service Manager, Rebecca Rohan. She always conducted herself professionally in both phone and email communications and was extremely responsive to all of my questions and concerns. The owners, Steve and Andrea Best were very personable and conveyed a genuine sincerity to work with me in bringing the highest level of workmanship and customer service to the project. Steve worked on this project along with two of his team members. Steve has a very friendly and laid back personality which toowas comforting and reassuring. The project entailed installing 12?x24? porcelain tiles in the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen measured 132 sq. ft; the bathroom 32 sq. ft. The workers were very careful relocating the kitchen appliances and did a great job removing the multiple layers of old flooring in the kitchen as well. Best Tiling recommended installing the sub floor and new bathroom tile over the existing ceramic tile. The estimate was done through email from photos I sent them of the floors in both rooms. Later during removal of the old kitchen flooring Steve realized he would have to remove an additional layer of flooring. He quickly assessed the situation and came up with a very reasonable and acceptable price to remove it. Every aspect of the project started out great. The sub floor and new tile was laid by the end of the first day. Steve worked on the kitchen floor while another worker installed the bathroom floor. I noticed neither of them were using spacers, made a comment to Steve about it, but did not think much of it at the time because they were professional tile installers and this was my first experience with professional installers. Grouting and sealing was completed on day two, kitchen appliances replaced and everything, I thought, was good to go. The third day I was able to walk more freely in both rooms thus giving me the opportunity to get a closer look at the finished work. There were several things I was not happy about, some of which Steve was able to improve at later visits. However, some things could not be corrected or improved short of tearing out and re installing the tile such as: (1) tile is spaced at varying widths; some at ??, some at ¼?; (2) grout is not flush to the edge of tile; (3) lippage; some tiles are higher than others; (4) gouges in some of the grout lines. I am just as surprised at the finished product as anyone reading this review. However, it is easy to see the spacing is not uniform and the gouges in the tile, easy to feel the edge of the tile where the grout is not flush and to feel the ?bump? in the floor where tiles are uneven. The result is unsettling because it is unlikely that either of these floors will be replaced again in my lifetime. FYI: The material cost was $400. I visited all the big box stores, and a tile store recommended by Best Tiling as well as searched extensively online to find great looking tile that fit my budget. I found Home Depot?s tile selection (as in-store options are limited) to be less than half the cost of stores specializing in tile.

I'll keep it short - Not that this company needs another "A" review since they have a ton - but they came out, gave me some options, an estimate, I agreed to the options and pricing. They were prompt for the estimate AND the scheduled work. Did what they said they were going to do. Charged what they said they would and I couldn't be happier. Now I want to find other things for them to do in my house! LOL!

I chose Best as a result of other glowing Angie's List reviews. Those reviews were correct. The folks at best were very helpful start to finish. The tile store they recommended was top notch as was the glass company. As for my experience with Best it was outstanding. Their installer, Alex, was an artist. His work is beautiful. Our shower is now a showplace! You cannot go wrong with Best!

We purchased some lovely recycled glass tile from fireclay tile and were searching for a master installer. I'm so glad we found Best Tiling. From the get go their service was top-notch. Andrea, who provided our quote, was very prompt and courteous. She even contacted the manufacturer to ensure proper installation. Scheduling was a pleasant experience. Everyone arrived at the time that was agreed upon and were very professional, protecting the deck where the tile was cut, the counter-tops and the floor. Steve Best and his associate did an outstanding job.They worked very efficiently with a great attention to detail. We used a 3 diamond 'esher' pattern which looked incredibly difficult to install, but they nailed it! Even keeping continuity in the corner. They did an excellent job cleaning up after themselves and left us with a beautiful backsplash.
