The company's name fits, as Best Tiling is far and away the best tiling professionals I've worked with. The quality of their work is exceptionally good. Also, they're nice people -- very pleasant and patient.

This was not our favorite project. And if I would have written this review on Tuesday, everything would have been a much, much lower rating. Here's our perception: Back in April Andrea came by to measure and discuss the project with us. (We had difficulty connecting initially as her family had just gotten over strep throat.) She was personable, professional and submitted the quote to us very fast. Andrea was extremely helpful and suggested we meet with a designer they work with at a local flooring store. We had to push the project off until August, but had spoke with Steve and scheduled him for August 12, (our entire kitchen and laundry room were torn out on Friday, August 9th). Steve said he had looked over Andrea's notes and drawings and said the job would take 3 days, (ended up taking six). Based on Steve's time frame, we scheduled the builder to come in on Thursday and Friday to install the cabinets, appliances, etc. Andrea gave measurements to the designer who ordered the tile. Unfortunately, Andrea and Steve had moved and had some other personal circumstances arise and forgot to do a final measurement on our kitchen and laundry room. When Steve arrived on Monday he mentioned at least twice that he was concerned that there wasn't enough tile. I was very surprised and disappointed that he didn't stop tiling to check if there was enough tile. We found out on Tuesday afternoon that there wasn't enough tile to finish the floor. Steve had suggested not tiling under the cabinets, or putting fragments of tile under the cabinets as no one would see them. We didn't want to do either of those. Steve and Andrea apologized a bunch of times, paid for the remaining tile and expedited shipping. They even offered to pay the rescheduling fee for our builder, (but we felt that was too much so we paid it). Steve came out on Saturday to grout and Sunday to seal it. On Monday we went to pay (via credit card) to Andrea and she was going to charge us over $4k (which was the total for the quote, demo and backsplash installation - although we had the builder do the demo and we have the backsplash on hold). We verified the total as only $2975, she apologized and said she would email a receipt, (haven't received it yet but it's only been a couple hours). Emailed around noon asking for receipt to be resent. Andrea promptly sent it and the receipt was for a charge over $4k!! My frustrated husband called her and she did change it and sent over a new receipt for the $2975. All in all I would recommend Best Tiling. They did a very good installing the tile floor. We have no complaints about that - it really does look terrific. I would recommend that you make sure they do a final measurement and make sure they charge you the right amount. Again, great tiling, nice people who want to do the best job possible...I think that because they are such a small company that they might be slightly overwhelmed and some details may fall between the cracks. Yes, I would use them again.

Best Tiling and Bath showed up on time, kept the house clean, worked quietly, and did a very sharp-looking install of the new bathroom tile. I was pleased to see the old tile and wallboard carried out of the house in large, intact sections; I imagine this went a long way to keeping the place clean. The newly-installed tile looks fabulous. A small hitch in the installation was brought to my attention as soon as it was discovered. It was related to the framing in my shower being out of kilter; the net is that the new tile covers a few millimetres less of wallboard than the old tile, and there's a thin ribbon of yet-to-be-painted wallboard. All-in-all pretty inconsequential as hitches go, and I was pleased that I was informed right way. Honestly I may have never noticed. These are the kind of people you want working in your home.

Having been involved with several previous renovations, this one went off without a hitch. Although no remodeling is without its' inconveniences, this one was by far efficiently done. Steve, Dave, Alex, Mike and Andrea were just great, true professionals. I can justifiably recommend Best Tiling And Bath.

Taking up old product went smoothly even with the need to move furniture around to accommodate the process. The floor was carefully inspected in order to make sure no cracks or uneven areas were detected. The pattern for the tile was very unique and the installer worked carefully to get the tile laid correctly so that the design was clearly complete. The cleanup during the process was good overall and once the job was done, the sealing and cleanup for the project was done thoroughly and timely. Communication was good through the process.

From start to finish the project was terrific. Steve and Andrea were helpful at all stages from the design ideas to the final photographs. I had a old tub removed and a complete remodel of my master bath. The results exceed my expectation! I highly recommend Steve Best and his team for their honesty, integrity and quality of workmanship.

The service provided by Steve, Andrea, and their team is the way customer services should be provided. They were extremely responsive, easy to work with and willing to work with our schedule even though they had more than enough contracted work already. Their work was excellent with proper attention to details. We had a leak coming from our master bathroom due to the poorly installed sub-floor and tile. Andrea was responsive and arranged for the visit by Steve to provide us with the initial estimate. Steve provided multiple options depending on how much work we were willing to do and their pricing was very competitive. At no point in time did we feel that Steve was trying to up-sell features that we did not need. Also, pricing did not change from the initially quoted amount, and throughout the whole process there was never a question if there will be additional hidden costs. The work was done by Steve, Dave and Alex over the period of few weeks as we were waiting for new counter-top and as we decided to extend our initial engagement. All three guys were very professional, fast, and polite. We had few suggestions and Steve was more than happy to work with us and make changes and improvements as the project went along. He even came over the weekend to make some small changes. Ultimately, the tile looks great, bathrooms look like new, and the working experience with Andrea and Steve was great. I wish that other organizations in the service industry would care about their product and work as hard as Best Tiling.

Fabulous! Steve and Andrea were incredible. Steve was so careful and meticulous. You can really see it in the result floor. (I'll put up some pictures). It's fabulous. I was really nervous about the tile (it's such a big room and I worried about making mistake). Steve thought it through with me and gave me a lot of useful advice. Andrea was in constant communication and you really need that on a project this size (particularly if the tile company communicates not at all). She stayed on top of the tile company and kept me informed about timing. They were really wonderful. HIghly recommended.

Andrea provided a quote the same day as the request and they were able to come out within 2 weeks. Steve Best showed up with an additional technician, which cut the 1st day installation to 4 hours. This was a huge time savings as there were a lot of cuts for the subway pattern installation. They were prompt, efficient and professional, and did an excellent job. They even thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend them. In fact, they will probably tile my bathroom floor as well.

We had an excellent experience working with Steve and Andrea Best. They are a great team who are responsive, professional and deliver exactly what they promised on time. From the estimate to the completion of the project (we had our bathroom tile ripped up and a new floor laid) they were communicative and did excellent work. They offered guidance on tile layout as well. They were also really nice people! I have recommended them to friends who have indicated they may have tile jobs.

Last year Best tiling remodeled our master bathroom and installed a back splash in the kitchen. Our previous review was "excellent". Over the past year, due to settling of the house foundation, some small cracks appeared in the corners of our bathroom shower. I emailed Steve Best just to get his advice on how to repair the cracks, intending to perform the work myself. Steve, however, insisted on coming out to see for himself, saying it was part of the warranty on their work. Steve visited today, and said even though the cracks in the grout are cosmetic only and would never leak, he made some minor repairs anyway. We were truly impressed with his willingness to stand behind his work even though this was a natural problem unrelated to his workmanship.

Best was prompt, very reasonably priced and performed excellent work. The demo required was efficient, done with minimal disruption to the rest of the household and performed professionally and comfortably. The tiling work was exceptional. The finishes were perfect and the overall look exceeded my expectations. All of the Best people were professional, friendly, very clean and considerate. I recommend them highly and will use them for all of my tiling work in the future!

Working with Best Tiling has been a great experience. From start to finish, Andrea Best has been thorough and followed up consistently to ensure the work has been top notch. From my initial contact, she has promptly returned any calls and answered any questions. She provided a quote in writing - which was exactly what was paid in the end. Steve Best did the work and could not have been nicer or more professional. While our job was not a huge one, he treated it as though it was important. This family operation is great and I would highly recommend them. Great contracting service! I will be contacting them when our next renovation is ready to begin!

In short, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. This was the first major remodeling job we have done in our house and it has left me feeling that I don't need to look for another contractor for any bathroom or other tiling projects I have in the future...Best Tiling is my go to shop. We were under a time crunch - the project had to be completed and the bathroom useable for a party we were going to be hosting 26 days from the day we started calling contractors. The project had to be done within 21 days from start to finish. The timeframe alone knocked out 2 of the contractors we spoke to who had come highly recommended from friends. We got referred to Best Tiling from the Tile Shop in Lombard, IL where we purchased the materials for the project. From the time we first reached out to Best, we had a good feeling about them. Steve and Andrea were responsive to our inquiries, flexible and professional. They did not have the lowest bid coming in, but their approach won us over. They said they could get the entire project - which was laid out step by step in their proposal - within our timeframe and understood that the timing was of the essence to us. They committed to our timeline and they delivered. with 2 days to spare. Another positive in the experience was their flexibility - i.e. their willingness to revise projects and proposals on the fly when unforeseen issues arose. Case in point: we realized a few days into the project that we had not purchased enough subway tile to tile the bathroom walls as originally planned - and contracted for - we decided to forego the wall tiling and go with painting and adding new trim - Steve and Andrea were quick to rejigger the proposal to reduce the cost since were not going to be doing as much tiling as originally proposed and agreed. There were no problems. the experience was smooth from beginning to end. The Best Tiling contractor who did the work - Alex - was even more impressive. His workmanship was impeccable - the tiling was masterfully done - overall, the work he did was exactly what we wanted. We had several ideas about what we wanted in various aspects of the project (i.e. how we wanted certain details to look) - Alex executed our vision. When we were not sure exactly what we wanted, he would offer us some options to get us on the right track. On top of good execution, something I appreciated just as much was his professionalism throughout the project. He arrived by 8:30 AM each morning and met with us before getting started each day to let us know what he would be doing. He worked diligently on each aspect of the project from start to finish, kept us up to speed on the project, answered questions and asked us if we wanted to see what he was doing just to make sure we were on the same page step by step throughout the project. When the project began, he moved his tools and materials in carefully and cleanly making sure not to ding any walls or dirty up the floors and made sure the area around the bathroom remained navigable so as to minimize inconvenience while the project was ongoing. When the project was finished, he cleaned up the worksite and his gear with the same level of care. We cannot say enough good things about the experience. The next time we do remodeling or large-scale tiling projects, Best Tiling is the firm we will call.

We are so glad we found Best Tiling! We knew from our first meeting and the professional quotes we recieved this was the company to go with. Steve and Andrea are very professional. Several times a week we received status updates. They did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it! If there was a schedule modification (usually due to unforseen site conditions) we were always kept updated. Steve and Andrea also recommended some great resources to us (for choosing cabinets, countertops, plumbing fixtures, tile and paint). All of their sub contractors were extremely professional and also did high quality work. Steve and Andrea helped us find the best solution for our job as opposed to some contractors who want to get done quickly and move on. We had lots of questions (like how to clean our new products) and we always received prompt answers. As every project has a punch list, everything on ours was promptly taken care of and they made sure it was to our satisfaction. What could have been stressful was a fun, exciting experience. Best Tiling does quality work with a personal touch. We highly recommend Best Tiling!

Steve Best was recommended by the local tile supply store as one of the areas best installers. Steve arrived as stated and provided a very competitive estimate. His personal attention to the details told me he was our guy. After agreeing to a start date, Steve and his crew showed up first thing Monday morning and started right after it. The job involved removing approximately 400 sq. ft. of ceramic tile and replacing it with porcelain tile. All baseboards and bathroom fixtures needed to be removed. Prior to putting down the new tile Steve recommended a cement board be put down to insure a firm and stable installation. This proved to be the key to a solid base and level install. Steve did a great job laying out the floor and lining up the tile. A first class job. The grout was completed the next day and sealed the next. The kitchen area went so well and looked so good we hired Steve to come back a couple of weeks later to do the laundry area that we originally planned to do at a later date. Steve enjoys his work and it shows in the way he goes about his business. He was not satisfied until we both were. I would recommend Steve Best for any tile job you may have.

I contacted Best Tiling based on recommendations on Angie's List. I was not disappointed. Both Andrea and Steve were a pleasure to work with. After my initial call to them, Andrea was very prompt in answering questions and creating the proposal. The work was scheduled quickly and everything went exactly as Andrea and Steve had laid out. The backsplash looks absolutely beautiful. In my experience, Best Tiling delivered high quality work along with excellent customer service. Even though I'm pretty sure my job was one of the smaller ones they do, they never treated it as such. I would definitely use them again for future projects!

We are not done yet. About half-way through. Have the shower done, the ceramic floor and wood floor is to be done tomorrow. Steve and especially his wife Andrea get back to us immediately when I e-mail with a question or a concern. Their responsiveness is amazing. They have a guy working for them- Ales and this fellow is remarkable. I don't think there is anything is not capable of doing. And doing well. And so far what is finished looks awesome.

The put is simply, Best Tiling is an outstanding company. I initially contacted them on a saturday and received a response from Andrea within a very short time that same day. The estimate I received was fair and competitve in comparison to other bids. They were happy to provide contacts for me to work with at several area tile shops and offered design help as well, without being pushy or overbearing. I had several specifics regarding scheduling and they were able to accommodate my needs without issue. Throughout the installation, Steve and his team clearly explained what they were going to do each day and answered all our questions. They were prompt, neat and cleaned up at the end of each work day. Steve was not happy with the installation of the bathroom floor and took the time to re-do it. Wow - I've never encountered that kind of pride in work with any contractor I've ever worked with! When I initially decided to do these projects, I started shopping around for tile, design help and installation at the various local tile stores. I was disappointed with the level of service and design recommendations I received and did not have confidence in the abilities of the stores' installation. Let's just say three previous projects over the last 10 years did not go well and in the end, I just couldn't go down that path again. I decided to pick my own tile and find someone who does tile work exclusively. I found Best Tiling on Angies List and felt comfortable from the start that I had made the right choice. Now that the project is done, I couldn't be happier. It was a pleasure doing business with them and I give them my highest recommendation.

EXCELLENT and outstanding tiling experience!!! It is very nice to see true professionals still exist and take the worries out of your tiling project. I can say I had an excellent experience from start to finish. Steve (owner) always returned my phone calls and answered my emails. Andrea was the office manager and coordinated quotes, relayed questions and was excellent to work with. I had many questions and Best Tiling was willing to take time to discuss my questions and make sure I was comfortable with the answers. I had contact a few different vendors but Best Tiling was less expensive yet they treating my project like it was their top priority. My tiling project was a laundry room that had uneven floors and needed to be leveled before tiling. Best Tiling had my best interest in mind. They discussed what I needed to have done came onsite a couple of days later to view the project and prepare a quote. After I accepted the quote, they scheduled a start time. About an hour before the start time Steve called in advance to let me know he was coming. They took extra care to cover the floors and make sure my wood floors we not marred or soiled. Steve took time to carefully move the washer and dryer out of the laundry room, level the floor the first day. The second day he came back and tiled. The last day he grouted and sealed the laundry room and move back the washer and dryer. He then reviewed with me what he had done and showed me with a level how level my tiled floor was. I checked it 4 ways. It was perfectly level. It was amazing. There was about a 3/4 inch hump in the middle of the floor and he made it level. He also suggested a great floor drain that would look nice so I went ahead with his recommendation. The end result looked great !!! Steve also asked me if I had any questions and gave me his card and a paid receipt. I can say with certainty it is worth it to check out this business. They are really first rate but nice people that really care about the customer and take pride in doing a perfect job at a great price. I thought it may benefit others to hear about my great experience.

It was great !! They are a great company to have come out and do work for you! I called Best tiled and they gave me an estimate and time frame. Came out in two days and it was done correctly in 4 hours. They were polite and kept me informed of everything they were doing. Very efficient and organized. Alex was the employee who did the work . He was quiet but very neat. He started by removing the old caulk. very slowly but meticulously. He was very precise in his work. he took pride in what he was doing. When it was time too put new caulk down he made sure to apply a color that would match the tile and the grout. I was very appreciative of that because he could of been like the other guy that I had faith in and just put down what he wanted to and not care. He brought a carpet and tarp so as not scratch up the tub or floor and I really took note in that. then he went around and checked to make sure that everything was done before calling me to examine it. I am very pleased!
