ABBEY HOME INSPECTORS INC

After looking at the work performed by my contractor and the architect's plans, Mr. Gallo concluded all of the problems were due to poor workmanship. He told me all the problems were cosmetic and going to court would be useless. Several days later he left me a message stating I should have plywood put under the laminate floor to raise it from the concave position. He told me he would send me a report and I should talk to my architect. I never received a report, and it turned out I needed a second beam to support the floor, because my incompetent architect goofed (his plans only called for one small beam near the end of the room), as did the incompetent Mr. Gallo when making his conclusions. Luckily for me my shoddy contractor did come back after several months and put in a second beam and the floor is now almost horizontal and even.

HE WAS A HALF AN HOUR LATE AND DID NOT COME ACROSS AS KNOWLEDGEABLE. MISDIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM.

BOB GALLO WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE, FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. I WOULD HIRE HIM AGAIN.

I'VE HAD MANY PROBLEMS WITH THE COMPANY I INITIALLY HIRED FOR A LOT OF MONEY TO SOLVE THIS WATER PROBLEM. THEY DID A FAULTY JOB. BOB EVALUATED THE SITUATION THE BEST HE COULD AND WROTE UP A REPORT. I WAS RELATIVELY HAPPY DEALING WITH BOB, ALTHOUGH WHEN I FIRST SPOKE TO HIM ON THE PHONE HE ASSURED ME HE WOULD BE ABLE TO TELL ME EXACTLY WHERE THE WATER IS COMING FROM, WHEN HE CAME TO MY HOME HE SAID THERE'S NO WAY TO TELL EXACTLY WHERE IT WAS COMING FROM WITHOUT TAKING APART THE STRUCTURE. BUT HE DID ASSESS THE SITUATION AND GAVE ME INFO. THAT SHOULD HELP ME IN THE FUTURE.

THIS IS A MAN THAT SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING. HE WAS WATCHING OUT FOR MY POCKET BOOK AND NOT HIS. HE CAME HERE TO DO A JOB AND HE DID IT WELL.

THOROUGH AND VERY HELPFUL. IDENTIFIED PROBLEMS AND EXPLAINED WHAT PROBABLY CAUSED THEM. THE PERSON DOING THE INSPECTION IS A STRUCTURAL ENGINEER, SO THE PRICES WERE A BIT HIGHER THAN COMPETITION. HOWEVER, I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK. ONLY NEGATIVE IS THAT HE DID NOT CLIMB ONTO ROOF.
