Pedro was punctual, thorough, and awesome at providing customer education. I was impressed with Oakwood and signed up for an annual maintenance contract.

After replacing bulbs that still didn't work, it was obvious there was more to my problem. I had used Oakwood in the past, so called and they were able to send Alex out to troubleshoot the same day!! He diagnosed a burned out transformer, then called 2 places to locate a replacement. Luckily the second one had the less popular item in stock, so he went and picked it up and had it installed within my first billing hour. My walkway is once again illuminated and I am happy with such professional and speedy service!

It went very well. We initially worked with Becky who directed us to be adamant that ComEd first come out to ensure the issue was not with them. I appreciated that she just didn't send a technician out immediately which would have been more costly. ComEd was able to diagnose the issue. Becky then dispatched a technician to come out later that day. She called back with an eta. The technician, Alex, arrived on time confirmed the diagnoses and fixed the issue within a half an hour. He replaced contact ports at our meter which were damaged. He checked our panel to ensure everything was operating safely. He was extremely professional.

Great. Herb came in , on time to troubleshoot the kitchen light, gave us some suggestions and fixed it. Rob came to quote out the panel. Quote came in with a decent price, came the same day or after,either way it was very fast. We're hiring them for the installation. Becky was great to schedule with. Super friendly. Would recommend! Cannot wait to have my new electric panel !

OUTSTANDING! We are repeat customers of Oakwood Electric. It's great to have a place you can call and speak to a real person (who are always very nice) and to get the response back right away, and they work with you for an appointment that is good for you. No job is too small for them, which is also appreciated! We had HERB for our technician and he is great. Always arrives right on time, does the job quickly and efficiently and has a great personality. He explains fully what's going on so you can actually understand what's going on with your electrical needs. I highly recommend Oakwood for any and all of your home's electrical needs, not to sound corny, but they DO do it all, big job or small.

Oakwood ended up sending 4 electricians to complete the whole job in one day. They did an excellent job of putting their heads together to get each job done as best possible without having to cut walls, creating the least amount of patch-work possible for us. Of all the work (about 10 different projects) they only made 1 cut and it's in corner of the basement ceiling which isn't very visible. I would absolutely recommend using them. They also gave us a free estimate with an itemized list so we could pick and choose which project we wanted to move frwoard with based on our budget.

The install crew was great! Very helpful from start to finish with explaining how the system would be installed and operate. Becky, Rob and Alex are the best. So helpful. I looked at several companies and found Oakwood to be the best price and the best customer service.

Great! This was a complicated job in and old house. New wiring had to be run and new breakers installed. Along the way we also discovered that the fan was vented improperly, so they climbed on the roof, cut a new hole, and vented it properly. Definitely will hire them again. Punctual polite, knowledgeable, explained everything, and we love the work that was done.

I am very pleased. They were able to come out to my house two days after I called. They gave me a window of 10:00-12:00 and Herb was there at 10:30. He was extremely efficient, helpful friendly and very neat. Everything was explained to me and he got right to work. I appreciated how clean my house was after he left even though I had work done in several rooms.

Fine, no issues - very nice and helpful tech. However, the techs should have the necessary equipment on hand (especially when I told them what would be needed) such as a light switch instead of having to go to a hardware store and get one or use the extra one I had.

One of the technicians arrived promptly at the scheduled appointment time, the other was late by at least a hour. They explained that they would have to cut the drywall and I gave approval. The work took nearly 3 1/2 hours to complete, and left me with drywall to repair. The light fixture looked great until I got closer and noticed the hole in the ceiling was larger than the base of the light figure. When I asked if he had measured the base I was told that the hole need to be made wider to accommodate the electrical boxes position on the joist. Now I have a base on my light that is smaller than the hole and I have to hire another contractor to fix the hole and patch the drywall. When I asked how I would fix the hole, one of the technicians asked me how I planned to patch the drywall and recommended I do the same with the hole. I found that comment and the overall behavior unprofessional.

It went great. they were a little late but no big deal. The price was even less than I expected. I highly recommend.

The two techs arrived on time and started working. The ceiling fans were done in an hour and exhaust fans about two hours. They were professional and knew what they were doing even though they ran into some hiccups. One transmitter for the ceiling fan wasn't working so they called the company and a new transmitter is being sent out to me for installation. I am very happy with the work and the crew. They are very proactive and made sure everything was working properly.

I highly recommend Oakwood for all of your electrical needs. Herb was our technician, and he was fabulous. Great personality, friendly, courteous, respectful and patient. He searched quickly and efficiently to find the source of our problem, which turned out to be a burned out wire up in the attic area in the closet of the bedroom in question. He explained everything as he went along, and answered all of our questions. Because of our experience with Herb and Oakwood, we are going to be getting estimates for future work, also including bathroom and kitchen remodeling estimates. Also, recognizing this was a bit of an emergency being a bedroom without power for my 93 year old Mother, they responded so quickly it was amazing. Same day service, within an hour or so of my call. This was much appreciated as I explained she has a monitor in her bedroom that must be powered on at all times due to her having a pace maker. Again, I thank Oakwood for such wonderful service.

Workers arrived on time and were finished in a half day. The sub panel was not in the original project but was added after consultation and was a good choice. All of the workers wore booties and tarps were put down to cover the entry way and basement stairs. An extra worker was called in for a total of 3 and all were very professional and good workers. They cleaned up nicely afterwards and took all of the construction debris with them.
