Description of Work: Removed track lighting in family room and kitchen. Installed recessed canister and focal lights, fixture and patched all damaged areas. |Oakwood was by far the best contracted service I have ever experienced.

Description of Work: Removed a 21 year old electrical connection for an "old" dishwasher, and rewired the area so the new dishwasher could be installed. Oakwood personnel did a great job. They were prompt, corteous, and left the kitchen cleaner than when they started. Description of Work: Determined problems in living room and kitchen fixtures, then repaired and replaced parts as needed. Service was prompt and when tech had to leave to purchase a part, he called when he couldn't find it at first store he went to saying he'd be out longer than stated because he had to go to another store. Very courteous and highly professional - explaining clearly what needed to be done. Absolutely a go to service.

Description of Work: I contacted oakwood lighting on a Sunday via email and had an immediate response from Becky. We were able to coordinate a time and day very quickly to have another electrical outlet installed in our furnace room so that our sump pump and backup were not on an electrical cord!! Pedro came out and was able to complete the job in an hour. He was polite, courteous and cleaned up after himself! He was able to install the outlet and made sure that our sump pump and back up had their own plugs. I appreciated that he was honest and helpful. We will definitely get oakwood lighting back in the future to help on other projects!! Thanks!

Description of Work: From my first phone call to the final payment we were pleased with all of Oakwood's personnel. This extends to Robin and the group at Burr Ridge Lighting which Rob directed me to. I'm going to echo other reports that say they are excellent electricians who do what they say they're going to do. I especially appreciated Rob's short physics lesson during the estimate process; why something wouldn't work as well as his suggestion. Not that he couldn't do what I wanted, but that in the long run, what I wanted would't last as long and would give me problems in a few years. Alex said something that probably sums up their work ethic, process and outcome. He finally solved a sticky problem with one aspect of the job. I said something like, you wouldn't give up till you figured it out would you. He said, no, when I put my hands on something, it has to work well. And that's how they both are.
