+ -1 moreI was really upset with this person. He talks to you like you're a child. He took samples of mold and took them back. He's just very kind of something, and he's like I'm the one that knows what I'm doing kind of thing. He ended up finding more problem, and the proposal that he gave was two times what the other company gave. I had three people out, and he was the first one I had out, so I had to pay him for the sample that he took. I was really unhappy. I just did not like him at all. The reason I went with him was, I think he was recommended by the insurance company. He really was rude.
Description of Work: JMS Environmental Associates came out when we had the flood. He did the environmental inspection.

+ -1 moreI would definitely recommend JMS to anyone else. Their consultation was very helpful. Joyce was very patient with all of my questions and concerns and spoke from experience from documenting other homes. Of course, the true strength of this service was in the final reports. The lab analysis and reporting was very thorough. Ultimately, it gave us peace of mind and considerations for taking care of an older home. I had only purchased new construction before and the house I was considering is the exact opposite, so all of the environmental considerations were new to me. I'd recommend any potential buyer of older properties to look at JMS. It's an investment that makes you a more educated buyer!
Description of Work: I called JMS Environmental to do last-minute asbestos and lead tests right before Labor Day weekend. I called afterhours on Thursday, and they were out right away the next morning. Their lab was so friendly and helpful, providing me with solid estimates and set up an appointment right away as I was in the process of evaluating a property I wanted to buy. I had some vermiculite insulation particules in an attic tested for asbestos contamination and also had two swabs taken on windows to detect lead. I received results right away within two business days. Joyce, the project manager, who took the samples and followed up with the report, was very knowledgable and helpful.

+ -1 moreALWAYS RETURNED MY CALLS AND ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS. I DIDN'T GET ESTIMATES FROM OTHER COMPANIES SO I'M NOT SURE IF THE PRICE WAS A GOOD ONE OR NOT.
