I purchased a deal with them, and attempted several times to get in contact with them with no response.

MY ONLY CONTACT HAS BEEN ME CALLING THEM. 12/5/14 IS MY MOST RECENT & LAST ATTEMPT TO CONTACT THEM. Express Technologies never tried to contact me. My calls go to voice mail. I do not want this company in my house. I will find another contractor.

I filled out the information for contact but they never reached out to me. I was finally able to get in contact with them today. They told me that they wouldn't do the work that I had purchased, they told me that they weren't willing to honor the deal. This was a poor reflection on their company in my mind.

I purchased a Big Deal package where i would receive a new electrical panel plus a surge protector for $849.00. After speaking with Mike, the company's representative I found out that I would have to pay anywhere from $600 to $800 more for new wiring work in addition to the panel installation. This way more than I expected to pay.

This was a very frustrating experience. Also, since it took longer than 30 days for us to make a couple of appointments and realize that he wasn't going to follow through on the work, we now can't even get a refund.

The service provider was scheduled to come out today and start the work for this deal. The provider didn't show up for the scheduled appointment. I then called him and he was very rude and told me that they wouldn't be preforming the job and that I needed to request a refund.

Went very well, Mike was knowledgeable and personable. Gave what look like fair quotes on some repairs in the future, and gave good advice on ways we can make some improvements. I appreciated the itemized quote, so we can pick and choose work we'd like done in the future. Once the holidays settle down, I will be reaching out to Mike for a couple items on the quote.

They were only sending me messages through Angie's List, and I can’t open it up while I’m at work, so there was some miscommunication. They never called me, either, which would have been good. I guess they don't want to come out to Libertyville to do the work, as they suggested I get a refund.

This was my first purchase thru Angie's List. I will remember to read the customer reviews before buying anything else. I thought Angie's List providers were all vetted. After I purchased the deal and sent the company an email about scheduling, they sent me back and email that said "not interested, get your money back". I am in their service area so I don't understand why. I am trying to get my money back thru Angie's List.

This was my very first experience with the Big Deals and he left a terrible impression. I received a blow off email soon after my purchase that declared "Not interested." That was terrible. I didnt end up using the deal.

I was having scheduling issues with this company.

He is not licensed and bonded in the City of Chicago. He came to do the work, and now will not come back to fix the work. I asked him to see his license contract number, and he refused to show it to me. He is saying a certain man is his partner to get away with saying he has a license, but the license doesn’t include him at all. He was supposed to do a lot more work, but while he was here, the city inspector was also here. The inspector asked him for his permit to do the work. He lied and said the permit was in place, but the city called and said he hadn’t even requested a permit, and he left shortly after. Now I have to hire someone else to finish the work.

It was a total waste of time. The provider was not interested in doing the work and communicated poorly.

He said it was going to be an additional $200 to do the work, I agreed. He said he?d be out Tuesday, but he never responded. I still haven?t heard from him.

Scheduled an appointment, and he missed it. So we rescheduled, and the appointment was missed again. After that, I decided not to work with him anymore.

I messaged Express to confirm the conditions of a big deal I was considering purchasing. I had stated in my message that I was looking for a standard ceiling fan installed with all electric already in place. In the description of the deal in clearly states that the deal could be used for a ceiling fan install among other things. After two days of no response, I called Mike and left a message on his voice mail. The following day, I received a message back that indicated that the $49 deal only applied to $800 worth of electrical work services excluding materials. Nowhere in the description of this deal does it mention $800 of anything. It clearly states that the deal is "$49 for $249 worth of electrical services" and "includes labor for projects like: ...installing a new ceiling fan...". I guess I would have to have 8 ceiling fans to install in order to use this deal because he stated that it would cost at least $97 to install my fan. Seems like a clear bait and switch situation to me and I am glad I never took a chance and purchased this deal. I would advise avoiding any "deals" offered by Express Technologies because the terms stated in the description will not be honored.

Everything went well.

I needed a 240 line brought in from the garage, over a slab, through the common wall between two townhouses. The estimate was double of others for bringing in the line and double for hooking up an electric stove. The amount of working time was also double (two days, 8 hours each, instead of 5 hours on one day). An hour before he was to start the job, he called to reschedule because of an "emergency." He said he'd call back in 2-3 hours to reschedule. He never called, so I cancelled.
