They were good. It was easy to make an appointment, they came out on time and did a good job. Their price was the best compared to the other places I checked with.

They were here right away and took very good care when they put the water heater in. They put drop cloths down to protect my carpet. They did an excellent job, and I was very happy with them.

The EconoTemp technician was polite and professional. He explained how to read the furnace error codes and clean the flame sensor, as well as inspecting, disassembling, and cleaning the furnace. EconoTemp does not usually have cheap cleaning specials like some companies, but they do a more thorough job. And they sell parts and give expert advice, too.

We've used Econotemp in the past and have always been pleased. They again met our expectations for professionalism but I was disappointed that we had to call them the day after the service call because of water around our furnace. When they came back, they said a pipe was clogged. They unclogged it and everything has been fine since. When I asked, though, why the pipe had not been cleaned as part of the general maintenance, they said a clog like this only happens "about once every seven years." Our previous AC/heating servicer had checked this pipe each time, though, and we never had a problem. Overall opinion? They still do good work but missed, in my mind, a key component this time.

Our air conditioning just stopped working mid heat wave. EconoTemp has serviced our heating and air for years and their response was friendly, prompt and professional. They arranged a time to come out that worked with my schedule, and promptly. The repairman replaced a worn belt and did the needed annual maintenance and the unit has been working well ever since. He also checked our furnace.

The technician who was out was extremely thorough, competent and quick. He also explained how everything worked which, as far as I am concerned, is extremely important. I have dealt with this company for a number of years and I have always been extremely satisfied. They call ahead to let you know when the technician is on the way. They are very punctual and professional. I will continue to use this company.

They confirmed a leak and advised me to contact the company that had installed it, because it was still under warranty.

I don't keep our house very cold even with this very hot summer - but I realized that the A/C fan seemed to running constantly. Paying closer attention to this issue - I called EconoTemp to make an appointment. I explained the situation and an appointment was made. I then had to cancel the appointment (would call with a reschedule) since the storms knocked out the power. Once power was restored, I called for an appointment and received service for first thing in the morning the day following my call. Bruce was there at 7:00am and after touching base with me on what was going awry - inspected and worked diligently to replace the contact and capacitor and finally clean-up the unit. He left about an hour later and since then, my AC is doing an even better job of cooling and is just not working as hard.

He was there within the time frame specified and quickly found and fixed the problem. The rep from the company even called me to let me know the repairman was on his way--I had told her when I made the appointment that I had to leave by a certain time. I've always experienced good service with this company

We have been very pleased with Econotemp. In both cases, the service technician who visited our house was able to come to the house on the same day as my phone call, was very professional, and completed the needed repair quickly and skillfully.

Responded to call for new water heater needed asap. Response was quick and efficient, and the price was fair though I don't recall the exact figure.

Econotemp helped identify an appropriate model and installed it within one day of receipt. Though we had some trouble getting the programming set up properly, the technicians stayed at it until it was running properly. Understanding the tight finances at the shelter, they even halved the rate for installation. Many dogs will be more comfortable now. Thanks so much...

They met my expecatations and fixed the problem. It was done the same day that I called them. The guy came out, diagnosed the problem, had the part on the truck, and made the change. It was a good experience. I would recommend them.

Received original quote for A/C and heater replacement over a year ago when replacing hot water heater. A/C unit refused to come on during a hot and humid Sunday evening (90s) Called Marilyn on Monday and she provided an updated quote of $220 more. She said Nicor was offering a rebate of $240 on the gas heating unit. On Tuesday, Technicians Bill and Doug arrived promptly at 8AM. The old A/C and heating units were removed. Bill and Doug remained cheerful even with the mosquitoes and high temperatures. Bill and Doug explained the installation and freon charging of the A/C unit. At 4:30pm the new A/C was running and took 7 hours to finally cool the house down to a comfortable 77 degrees. Bill and Doug returned on Saturday at 8AM to finish installing a chimney liner for the hot water heater and finish the gas installation for the heating unit. With Doug's help, Bill went on top of a 3 story chimney to put the liner in and replaced the chimney cap. Doug replaced sections of the duct work to match the heating unit by cutting the metal in their shop. Bill and Doug patiently explained what they were doing and cleaned up after they were done. Marilyn provided the paperwork for the Nicor rebate. Owner Steve thanked me for my business. I received a courtesy call each morning before they came out.

They are a good outfit and they gave me a lot of advice about how to do things. The advice they gave me was good and timely. I did what they suggested and it solved the problem. The guy I talked to was very knowledgeable and I would definitely use them again.

Good, they were able to schedule promptly. Bill was scheduled to come at 8, but didn't come until after 8:30. I called to check on him and was told he had just left and would be here shortly and received an apology for the delay. We would definitely recommend them.

We have used Econotemp many times in addition to the vent alteration. They are prompt, they work constantly while here, they are clean and polite. Very good service.

It was the week the temperatures dove into the 90's. Our air-conditioner fan was not running from the outside unit. I called in the morning and they had a fully booked schedule. They squeezed me in first thing. John came out and fixed some wiring problems. He then put a jump start system on the unit outside to get it going. He was in and out within an hour. He called before he arrived to let me know he was on his way. He took his shoes off each time he came in and out of the house. I have been using this company for the past year and will continue to use them.

They installed a forced air garage heater, as well as a gas line, an exhaust vent, and a thermostat for the heater. Because I was looking for a particular type of heater that they did not carry, they allowed me to order the heater from the distributor, and they installed it for other parts and labor costs. They placed the order for the exhaust vent (a special order item), but had to come back to install it (and therefore the furnace couldn't be used until the entire installation was completed) because apparently the manufacturer's parts description they relied on when placing the order for the vent was somewhat ambiguous, and they ordered the wrong type of vent. The price was fairly steep, but the workmanship was very good and the craftsmen were friendly, thorough, and professional.

Bruce was very nice and professional. Didn't push me to buy a new thermostat-only recommended when I asked for a better quality one. He also replaced the furnace filter, and make sure all was working okay on the furnace. IWe will continue to use EconoTemp in the future. Have always been very pleased with service and service personnel.
