Fantastic. The work was completed on-time and meticulous.

The price was comparable to everybody else. I did not end up doing work with them. I ended up using someone else, but they were a close consideration and due in the running. I really like the fact that the gentleman (estimator) that came out was very professional, helpful, and answered questions. He listened to me, and responded back to me specifically. He wasn't just giving me the general spiel. He looked at the situation and responded to me and my questions.

They were punctual and did a great job.

The installed seemed pretty knowledgeable. It was good. It works.

I’ve always had good luck with Econotemp. You walk in, it's like retail. They not only provide the parts, but they also have expertise, so if I’m interested in trying to understand the job I’m embarking on they’re full of expertise and wisdom. I’m happy to tap into them, so, I continue to use them. And the plus thing about them is that, at one time -- I don't know if they still are -- but they were open on Sundays, which a lot of HVAC guys weren't. But I'm not sure if that's still true. They're very personable.I like their hours, the fact that they're open when others aren't. They don't have to put the parts on order. They always have the parts I needed so I didn't have to wait a couple of days. You could walk right in, get the parts, go out and do your job. I don't know that they need to improve on anything. They're always right there, price-wise. They're absolutely responsive and professional. I recommend them

I haven't been there this year, but I plan to go back soon, as soon we get warm enough to start the air conditioning because I'll be changing out filters-- probably sooner than last year, based on the weather forecast. They always have the parts I need. If I walk in there and need new filters, that's not where it stops because I always have questions about HVAC. And they always have someone there that has the experience I need to ask the question to. And they give me great advice and that usually helps me fix the problem that I have. I haven't had this experience but if they were to tell me they've got this great fact page out on the Web -- that would be the only way they could improve, because of all the questions that guys like me come in and ask... If they took the time to write it down and what the answer was and put it on the Web -- that would probably be going the extra mile, you know? To make sure that they're back there. I don't think they have a fact page. But otherwise, they're great.

Wonderful. I called late afternoon and they were at our house the next morning. The technician checked out the unit completely, knew what was wrong and talked over what needed to be done and how much. Our AC unit needed a new fan motor and capacitor. He went and back to the shop to get the parts and assemble it in the shop and was back and had it fixed before we knew it. Great service and technician.

I was very pleased with the service. I had to reschedule twice and they were very accommodating. When they had an opening a couple days before my service call they called me to see if I would like to move the day. They also called to see if their service man could come early which worked really well for me. The technician was very nice and professional. He had to go up into our attic when the heat index was over 100. Before he did any work he told me what was wrong and what he was going to do. When he was done he read off the list of repairs he did. The whole service call took just a little over an hour and cost me less than $250. I will use them again and will recommend them to friends and family. We have a boiler and when we were remodeling some rooms we purchased our radiators from them. That is how I heard about them.

They did a good job. They found a leak.

They were fine. I would use them again. It was just a furnace checkup. They did what they were supposed to do but not necessarily above and beyond.

It went well. I also go there for parts for my furnace and water heater. They were fine. I've always had good feeling with them. I don't remember any bad. The quality was fine.

In December, the pilot light in the furnace decided to turn off and refused to stay lit. I called EconoTemp, a company I have used for many years that has kept my 35+ year old furnace working, and scheduled an appointment for repair. Jason was there at the appointed time, corrected the problem, and again, as we had discussed in the past, suggested and left materials for a new furnace. I decided to purchase a new furnace when Jason pointed out that this furnace would be 80%+ more efficient compared to my old furnace which was maybe 50-60% efficient. I gave them a call and arrangements were made for the new furnace to be installed within a week of my call and just before Christmas. Jason arrived as scheduled, removed the old furnace off the property, not just to the curb, and installed the new furnace which was easily half the size of the old one. There was no hurry to the installation, it was done slowly and responsibly, as Jason installed all new ductwork to accommodate the new furnace. He then neatly and cleanly replaced the old thermostat with a new digital non-programmable thermostat. When finished, I was amazed as to how quiet the new furnace was and that the house seemed to warm more quickly. Very happy with the new furnace, the installation, and EconoTemp for their prompt customer service.

Excellent work! Would absolutely recommend and have to others in the area. The people that have used Econotemp based on my recommendation have all come back with nothing but praise. They are consistently honest, fair, skillful, and professional. After working with them a handful of times now, I wouldn't even consider calling any one else.

We are looking to replace a very old A/C and water heater. We called several companies for estimates. We are looking for the best value for our money. The company was quick to respond and schedule an appointment with us. They arrived on time and the technician was professional and seemed thorough in his inspection as well as knowledgeable. He provided a quote on site and it seemed perfectly fine. A day or two later, we contacted the company about expanding the estimate. We were interested in taking advantage of the Nicor/Comed rebates available for High Efficiency A/C, Furnace, and Water Heater installations and wanted to see what that would cost. They relied on notes from the original visit. They sent a quote by email for ONLY a high efficiency furnace. They did not address the issue of HE water heater or A/C. I do not know if the original quoted units were HE or not, but they only mentioned the furnace rebate in the email, not the rebates available for the other two items, so I think not. Not only that, but they didn't alter the previous estimate at all, just sent us the furnace as a separate estimate. We were very disappointed in this response, expecting better customer service. We were left feeling like they didn't really care if they had our business or not.

It went well. The provider met me and picked me up so we could get a permit for the work. He got the measurements, went to home depot, and purchased the hot water heater. It took about an hour and a half- two hours all together.

Called Econotemp at 8:00am in the morning to replace a 19 year old water heater that was leaking lots of water. They said someone would be out between 11am-1pm to replace it. They quoted an all inclusive price over the phone of $816. The repair man showed up at exactly 11am and by 1pm he was completely finished. He was very professional and also showed me how to light the water heater. He also shared some other great advice. The quoted price was the actual price. All in all a perfect repair call!!!

For a month or two there had been a noise occasionally coming from the furnace. It was hard to hear over the main blower but sometimes it was audible while the furnace was starting up. Called Econotemp on a Monday morning, describing the problem and saying it wasn't an emergency. Technician came out later the same morning. Really nice and professional guy. Showed me everything.

They were excellent, professional, told me the problem and didn’t make any lies up about being threatened by carbon monoxide poisoning like another company did. They provided phenomenal service and were absolutely wonderful.

I called several heating and cooling companies last week, and Econotemp was the only one that could send a service technician out within a reasonable period of time (i.e., one week). Jason arrived at the appointed time, looked at the home inspection report provided by the home buyers, and went right to work. He called me down after half an hour to show me the very corroded humidifier, and gave me the option of (a) removing it altogether, (b) attempting to repair it, or (c) replacing it with a new one. He warned me that he wasn't certain that he could repair it, and he would have to bill me for the time / labor involved. But he was willing to try. I called my realtor to ask for her opinion, and she suggested another option -- re-installing the corroded humidifier and offering the buyers a credit to replace it at their leisure. Jason quoted me a price of $550 for parts and labor, but he explained that most of the cost would be in the labor (i.e., having to add new sheet metal to repair the rusted and corroded portions underneath). All in all, I was pleased with Econotemp's responsiveness, as well as Jason's punctuality, candor, and professionalism. The cost of their standard furnace cleaning and check is higher than that of most other companies that I contacted. But good luck scheduling an appointment with some of those other companies. In this instance, I think you get what you pay for.

Econotemp Inc did work for me in January. It cost us approximately $400. They did furnace repair for me. They are very prompt, very efficient, the call was made in an evening and then sent out a tech, a service repair guy within about an hour. Everything was in and out within twenty minutes. Very professional, very thorough, very quick. He showed me exactly what was going on and showed me it should look like versus was looking like, there was no confusion on my part as to what happened. It was nice. It was comforting to know, he was very specific about what he was doing. And he was in and out very quickly. Clearly he knew what he was doing.

They were very personable, clean, courteous, & on time. It was just a very pleasant experience overall & we're happy with our system.

We called after the exiting water heater sprung a leak.They quoted me a price on the phone and were out that morning. It took a little longer than I would have expected. But they did a great job and were very conscious of keeping everything clean. Best of all there was no surprises
