I can’t say enough positive things about DM Outdoor Living Spaces. I have been a long time customer for over 17 years because the quality of service is exceptional and the crew is very diligent about cleaning up after themselves. Dino is always there to answer my questions and give me options about replacement or repair and as a woman I appreciate that. For this project the point - man was Danny he repaired a low spot by the hose in my pavers and did a seamless job the crew does wonders to restore the patio and bring it back to shining new. Outdoor kitchen is next on the list. The team is hard working, very clean and you will LOVE your space! I am happy to refer DM Outside Living Spaces to all my friends.

DM very professional. New Timberline composite deck with lookout joist and Azek Dry Space above demolished concrete patio and replaced with Unilock pavers. Also installed two French doors and a retaining wall to keep water from coming down the hill, across the deck, as it has for years. Dry now. Added a border that was not on the quote to blend in the new posts and did not charge for that. Very reasonable and knew what they were doing.

So happy with the team at D&M Outdoor Living Spaces. They had recently replaced my outdoor porch and stairs and noticed my pavers were in dire need of repair. They did a fantastic job from start to finish.

We recently hired Dino and his crew to replace two decks and handrails in the front with TimberTech composite. Dino and his crew are like a family. They all worked together well and seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. Long days for them and several times I was telling them to “go home”, lol. They were great to work with and were always professional and listened to any concerns we had. If something wasn’t quite right they would fix it. We’ve had workers here many times, but these guys were the neatest in regards to cleaning up debris and garbage. The finished product is beautiful and we are very happy with the project. Poor communications - this company was too busy to provide a quote, but wouldn't admit it. I called and emailed several times, but they couldn't/wouldn't schedule a time to come see our deck or provide an estimate. It has been almost a month since I last asked the to set a date and they have completely ghosted me.

Dino and his team were great to work with. They listened to our design ideas and made our vision come to life. Dino came by frequently to show us different material samples and answered all our questions up front. The workmanship on our deck is commendable and his team finished the job in just over two weeks, giving us plenty of time to enjoy the deck throughout the summer. His prices were fair and the most reasonable of any other companies we quoted. Great value for the work that was done!

The project went very well in all three phases. We are very happy with the work done by Dino and his crew(s). Dino did a good job of managing the project and his workers were friendly and skilled. What we needed more immediately was a complete renovation of our deck stairs because they were dangerous. We also needed repair of our paver patio as it was sinking and holding a lot of water. They completed the work efficiently and professionally. We really love the look of everything and we cannot wait to continue our custom deck with built in kitchen. Additionally we have a problem with the deck leaking water down to the patio and he presented us with an excellent solution for a patio ceiling that serves as a gutter so he really is a great problem solver. We are really looking forward to working together again in the future.

Dino and his team built us a beautiful screened porch and fixed a decade long drainage issue on the side of our home. I would highly recommend them. They cover a wide range of skills, so you don't need to hire multiple contractors for your outdoor projects.

DM Outdoor living was contracted to remove an old deck and replace it with a new composite deck and the final quality of the work was outstanding. During the installation process I noticed an error that deviated from the design. Worse still, this error wasn't noticed until after the composite decking was laid. I pointed out the error & the complexity to resolve is to Dino and his reply was "we will fix it tomorrow". No arguing, no asking if I would just take it as is, just immediate resolution. And it was fixed the next day and work then continued to proceed. In my opinion, that is the mark of an exceptional contractor. From the supervisors to the installation crew, I would recommend DM Outdoor Living Spaces to anyone seeking an outstanding deck contractor.

As with most projects, we started out getting multiple bids. Of the 4 bids that we got, Dino was the ONLY one that talked with us about the structure stability of the house when adding a deck on the upper level. He really made us comfortable & secure in our decision to go with him. We could not have been happier with the outcome! Dino & his crew did a great job! Would definitely recommend DM to others.

I had various estimates to repair or replace my old deck and went a considerable way toward doing it myself. I finally had several estimates to fully replace the old deck with high quality Timbertech / Azek materials. D&M came in with most favorable pricing and impressed me as honest and reliable people. Dino took a look at the layout of the old deck and very quickly proposed a reconfiguration with the beams and joists running 90 degrees from the layout of the old deck. It took a while for me to make up my mind to have the deck professionally done. I finally decided that it made the most sense to have it professionally done to meet all building codes and get a level of quality that I could not approach. In the course of attempting it myself I learned some things about quality deck construction. It quickly became clear to me that the deck (20' x 18') that Dino and his crew built was very sturdily constructed with 15 footings going to a depth of 48". Dino and his most experienced crew members did the footings to make sure the pattern was right and the footings were to the correct height. A crew of 3 carpenters (Hugo, Juan and Oscar) did the deck build from a Wednesday to the next Wednesday. I was impressed with how level all the beams and joists were and all the small but significant quality features they built in. The joists were on 14" centers making for a stronger platform for the PVC deck boards which are very flexible and could have ended up feeling a bit soft underfoot or wavy if the joists are not very level and at the same height. The manufacturer required 16" on center joists. The deck boards run the length of the deck to avoid seams and are very nicely attached with hidden fasteners. The stairs are built on footings making them very strong. Way overbuilt but in a good way. I chose the aluminum rail system when thinking of doing the project myself because it was supposed to be easiest for the do-it-yourselfer to install. We stuck with this when Dino did his quote. The carpenters did a great job installing the railing but it became clear to me that I would have ended up with $3,000 worth of scrap metal if I had attempted this myself. Lastly, the Elmhurst building code inspector visited three times, once to verify that the footing holes went to the required 48" depth, once to examine the framing and once to examine the finished deck. On his last visit, I asked him why he spent so little time examining the work. He responded that when it is done very well, it is obvious and he doesn't need to spend much time. D&M Outdoor Living Spaces designed and built our deck in 2002 and it still looks fantastic!! We use it for as many days a year as weather permits. I recommend them highly and have continued to use them for other projects, including the expansion of the deck to a third level about 8 years ago.

The quality of the new deck was fantastic. Even the inspector marveled at the craftsmanship. Our only quibble was that the yard was left a bit of a mess with screws and nails. We weren't home most of the time the work was being done, however, and it is always hard communicating purely through email/phone. While we don't plan to have a new deck installed for a long time, we would definitely hire Dino again.
