PREFERRED PLUMBING

I always call Michael from Preferred Plumbing for all my plumbing needs. He's a nice guy, very knowledgeable, professional, on time, fair priced, and responds as soon as he can. I have, and will continue to recommend him anytime someone asks. I have used him in multiple homes for multiple projects and he always comes through for me!

Chaz and Michael were able to come to my home in less than three hours after my call. The entire job was tackled in a little over an hour. The roots in the sewer line were considerable and I am good to go for another year or two. In addition, Michael was able to restore the water pressure to my bathtub faucet. Excellent work and money well spent.

They were here when they said they would be. They were done in two days and cleaned up everything. They sent a guy out to rake up the dirt they didn't get up. $450 bucks went to the electrical company I had to hire. When you work in construction there is a certain level of camaraderie. These young men had total respect. I joked with them and they joked back, but the respect level was always there.

They did the work in a couple hours, the plumbers were alright.

Michael was professional and personable. Arrived on-time, neat and completed the job. He also checked to see if I had any questions or concerns about his work. Definitely someone who enjoys his line of work.

About every year to year and a half sewer line backs up with roots and weeds. Sewer line started backing up. Called Preferred Plumbing. Called back in 10 minutes. Came out the same day. They explained what size blade to use and why. Last time I did this the plumber I hired made a mess. Oil, water, debris all over the place. Not these guys. They cleaned up after themselves put everything back. Great service. I would hire them again.

Michael came over the same day he called me back to give us his advice on how to stop water from coming up from the cracks in our basement floor. He also fixed a leaking pipe in the basement that day as well. His first thought on the basement was to rod out the sewer pipe as it looked like it hadn't been done in quite a while. We wanted it done as soon as possible and he was able to send Joe and Miguel out the very next morning. They were friendly, positive and did the job well even though all the roots they found in the pipe made it more difficult. This is the 4th time we've had them work on our plumbing and they've always been honest, fair and do excellent work. I'm looking forward to having them back to install our sump pump and pit!

All went well. I called and made an appointment, showed up and repaired quickly.

As a result of a camera inspection, the plumber found that the system was clogged with tree roots. He used a power rodder to clear the sewer from the house to the village storm sewer. I haven't had any problems since the the work was done. However, it's difficult to say whether the problem is really solved because we may not have had enough heavy rain to test the system. It may also be possible that there are cracks under ground that are not visible without considerable excavation. In any case, I would think that removing the tree roots should mitigate the problem. I did not call any other plumbers to compare prices.

Mike, the owner, responded to our situation immediately by recognizing the urgent nature with a water heater that was leaking coupled with a gas leak near the water heater. He rearranged his team's schedule to make sure we could get immediate service. As noted above, Mike's team investigated the water heater leak and gas leak. Replaced water heater; repaired gas leak; tested water heater, and even repaired a faucet aerator when the water supply was turned back on. Excellent service! Responsiveness beyond compare. Will use again and will recommend if any friend or relative needs a reliable, dependable and professional plumbing service.

Mike and his entire crew were great. Estimate was accurate with no surprises. Crew arrived on time, cleaned up after themselves and were very courteous. They installed an overhead sewer and installed separate sump pit and pump with small piece of drain tile running along old crack. I would use them again for future plumbing needs.

Russ was the guy who came out to my home. He was very nice, clean, and took pride in his work. You can tell they use quality materials compared to some of the things I've looked at in the hardware stores. We're extremely happy with the job and would recommend Preferred Plumbing to anyone.

Overall, very happy. Russ has been our plumber since '04 and he is excellent. Due to a communication error (that we learned of after the fact), he did not do our job this time, but his co-workers were just as efficient. As part of a gut renovation, their portion of the work included removing all the old piping, installing new copper piping and setting it to new heights (in the same location), attaching all fixtures after the tub and tile were installed, all new venting to ensure proper flow and drainage, installation of a new pedestal sink & pipe hook-ups, fixtures on the pedestal, and final completion / making sure everything worked properly. They did all the piping in one visit, then returned to do the sink and fixtures and hook-ups the following week in another half-day visit. The owner Michael was present on the 2nd work day, he was pleasant and listened to our concerns and questions openly, and we're very pleased with the finished product. Will continue to use them (and Russ) in the future.

It went very well, they hauled out the old water heater and installed a new one. They were pleasant, clean and very professional.

Our water heater died. Preferred returned our call the same day & gave us an estimate and information on the replacement unit. They have done work for us and in our village so they know what would be appropriate. The next morning they installed our new water heater. As in our previous experiences with Preferred, they were professional and patient in answering our questions.

They did a good job. Once the water heate failed, I called them and we talked through the options. They were able to get the replacement part within a day and get it installed. They took the old one out and put the new one in. They cleaned up after themselves. They had to insert a new pipe into the furnace and then plaster around it.

Our water heater was damaged as a result of the flood in Westchester. We left a message in their voice mail, and they returned our call right away. They came to see the space and gave us the estimate ($880.00) exactly what they ended up charging us. They came on time, and did a very professional job even though the space was small and with lots of pipes and cables. We do recommend them.

After our basement was flooded, we needed to replace the water heater. Preferred Plumbing had done other services for us before, so we were pleased that they were able to respond so quickly to us, especially since they are located in the same village that flooded.
