Absolutely great service from Nelson Garage Doors. Paul was professional and thorough in explaining what needed to be done and was very reasonably priced. I would recommend them to anyone looking for custom service!

It was fine. They got the job done on the garage door. They are really fast. I think it only took an hour or two.

Door looks great BUT am very disappointed that the party that he used to install the door left the old wood door for me to dispose of! Just cut it up and stacked by back door, I thought that they would take it away as they took all the metal. Did a nice job and door looks great, service was very punctual and Paul was able to accomodiate my time frame and wanted to use someone in the neighborhood, but the leaving of the old door was disappointing.

Paul was great. He came when he said he would. He found and fixed the problem. He talked with me about what created my problem and what I could do to avoid any problems in the future. I would absolutely recommend him and his company in the future.

Nelson Doors fixed my broken garage door opener, for the agreed price, the same day that I called. AND they threw in some very appreciated extra work too. My garage door goes up and down so quietly now, that it's almost spooky. I'm pretty sure that it's also faster too. BIG A+ for Nelson!

It went very well. Paul was here promptly due to the emergency of the situation. He quickly replaced our cable and balanced the door so I could get out of the garage! I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Dan answered my email within minutes of me sending and it was in the evening during the final Stanley Cup Hawks game. There was a little confusion with the time we set up, but as soon as I called he was here within 10 minutes. He inspected the unit and determined it needed new springs, the unit is 8 years old. He installed the springs very quickly and was on his way. He was here a total of 30 minutes max. I would definitely use him again and would recommend him.

Paul was quick to respond to my email and called me back within a few minutes. He looked over my garage door and opener to see what the problem was. He made an adjustment to the opener to allow the door to close more. But, the rest he was unable to do because my garage door is so old and he advised me to to put any money into it when it will need to be replaced soon. I liked his honesty. It would not fix the problem that I wanted it to fix and he told me so. He didn't charge me anything for coming out or making the adjustment to the opener. I would use him for a future job to install a new opener or garage door.

My service from Nelson Garage Doors was perfect. I called in the morning and was promised service that afternoon. The Servicemen were on time and asked me where I wanted everything - keypad, buttons, etc... They completed the work in about 2 hours and greased all of the hinges and springs on my existing garage doors as well. They took time to show me how everything works and made sure I was satisfied. Then the Owner, Paul Macbeth, came by to make sure I was satisfied before he collected my check. He checked the installers' work and explained the required maintenance to me. I would definitely recommend this company. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable as well as prompt. They obviously care about their customers and did everything possible to make sure I was satisfied. If I ever need garage door or opener work, I will certainly call them.

I had a $20 discount through Angie's List. They were able to fix the garage door within a few minutes. They didn't try to sell me a new garage door opener, which I appreciated. They were able to just lubricate the rollers and get everything working. They definitely earned their A grade with Angie's List. Paul was very efficient and cooperative. Their price was the most reasonable since I was able to get the discount, and they were able to fix it at just the price of the service call. I really liked that when I called I was able to speak with the technician directly instead of an answering service. Some of the other places I called also were not willing to apply the credit of the service call towards any future services, since I wasn't sure if I would need a new garage door or not. They came to my home within 24 hours of my initial call.

The response time was super. I sent an email through Angies List at night and Paul responded by the next morning. He was here by the afternoon to make the repairs. He explained to me what had to be replaced, why, and what it would cost upfront. There were no add-ons. He completed the repairs quickly. Before he left he showed me the parts that were replaced, and operated the newly repaired door. It has never worked so well. He also instructed me on routine maintenance of the system to promote a longer life. A spring had broken on the opening system, and I had never needed this kind of repair before. Paul was very helpful and professional throughout the whole process.

I called on Monday evening, after I had broken the garage door opener. Paul called me back first thing on Tuesday morning, said he would be here either this afternoon or Wednesday. (I had told him it wasn't an emergency, since I could manually control the door). So, he came by Tuesday afternoon fixed the problem and noticed a couple of other things. No pushy sales pitch. Very nice family man. Yes, I recommend this company. Great service at a good price.

Paul did a great job he inspected everything and discovered a short in the wiring of the electric eye safety automatic stop. He fixed that. He lubricated all of the parts. He corrected the problem to my satisfaction. He bill was reasonable and he gave me a GREAT discount because I was an Angie's List member. I also purchased a remote from him which he programmed to the door.

My garage door wouldn't close late Sunday night. I called Paul Monday morning and he said he could come out Monday or Tuesday so I said Tuesday works best and he said he would be out mid afternoon. He called around 1pm and said he was on his way. He met me in the alley 10 minutes later, gave me the 3 possible scenarios and what the 3 costs would be for best case or worse case scenario. He fixed it, (best case scenario) and I only had to pay the service call! He lubed all the hinges and told me how to preform maintenance on my own. I asked about my opener that had been giving me trouble and he replaced the battery for free and explained what the issue could be. Paul was courteous, quick, and professional. It was so refreshing to have someone in the service industry be so dependable and he did everything I could have asked for.

I highly recommend this company! This is the second time I called when my aged garage door malfunctioned. I was a happy customer both times. Last time, when the service was to be performed the next day, I was called as they had a tech available right away and would I be available. This time, Mr. Macbeth came on the scheduled morning. Explained why I continued to have problems with the door as it was out of balance due to worn springs. This was explained to me on the first visit but I choose a simple fix. This time again gave me the choice of a simple fix or a more reliable fix. I choose the latter. Then gave me two more options of how to replace the springs. I went with a safer and more reliable fix as I was tired of the door malfunctioning every 6 months. The repair was done very quickly and the door rides up and down quietly and easily. Mr. Macbeth gave me a host of information as to how to maintain the system and what products to use. When I find a honest company who does quality work, I pray for their health so I have them in my "rolodex" when needed. An honest company who does an honest job for a reasonable price....can I ask for more?

I thought I would have to replace the opener. It was only cobwebs over the electric eye. Cleaned off the cobwebs - took about 30 seconds - and only charged a nominal amount for the service call. These guys are as honest as they come.

When the weather breaks, I will call Nelson.

The work took an hour and the door works better than ever despite a different company "repairing" the same problem 6 months prior. Nelson's will be my go-to garage door repair in the future.

Garage opener broke on Tuesday afternoon. Called Paul Wednesday morning and arranged for him to come buy around 5 PM or so to inspect and give an estimate. He arrived and evaluated the job and said he could do it right then, so less than an hour later, our garage door was functional again. The price included the service call discount that he offers on his page. Very nice man and really appreciated the quick response and willingness to stay and get the job done.

Door jumped out of rails. Door need oiling and maintenance.
