Great! This is the second time we've called on Leith and will continue to do so in the future. Brian is professional, honest and reliable.

Brian was great and a very nice guy. We got 2 other estimates and they were significantly higher for the same products. If you are having any HVAC work done, I would definitely give him a call! He even cleaned up the floor, when he really didn't need to. He was professional, and didn't try and sell me anything I didn't need. He was even nice to my dog (who barked at him all day). I also want to thank his brother, Peter, who helped him with the installation. While Brian was working in the basement my other dog started having a seizure and while I was in a total panic, Peter carried my dog to the car for me so I could go to the Vet. Thank you both for a great job.

Brian was always prompt and courteous and full of great advice. We had some specific concerns and goals which put him outside of his usual brand and install routine, but he worked incredibly hard and was open about where he felt he could serve us best. In the end we chose him because of the honest and dogged hard work he put in to earn our trust - we had no doubt that this translates to a long term commitment to servicing his clients. We were not disappointed, and certainly put his patience to test as two of the new manufacturer components revealed factory defects to no fault of Brian's. Brian worked through the problem over the course of a few days - and an evening or two through some heavy snow storms. He made sure that our system was operational until the defects could be replaced and promptly swapped out computer motherboards in the furnace the next day. Brian never complained, and we know that our installation was atypical of his usual results. We were thankful he was on our side from the beginning and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Our fire alarm was keeping on going off (so we thought we had a C02 problem). Also, our water pipe had frozen during the last cold freeze in Chicago. Leith Heating and cooling came out in 2 hours following our call (even though he had pulled an all nighter) and tried to help us plan out how to deal with it (even though he wasn't a plumber). He looked at the Furnace to make sure it was running well and efficiently and gave us excellent advise to deal with heating up the ambient temp of the area surrounding the water main coming into our basement. That advice panned out (and the pipe was flowing within 24 hours). An excellent visit and personable service.

I work from home and I noticed over the course of the day the house was getting cooler and colder. About 4:30ish I started troubleshooting the furnace running through the extent of my abilities, but the furnace just wasn't lighting - had spark but no "whoosh" when the gas is supposed to light. I hopped on Angie's List and found Leith immediately as a Grade A company with previous service awards and they offered 24 hour emergency service. I talked with Brian on the phone and told him the symptoms and everything I had do so far, and about 1 hour later he was here looking into it. Took a little while to trace things down, but he systematically started from one end working to the other checking voltages, checking drainage for the condensate, etc. After working with some of the valves, he was able to get the furnace to fire off. Pointing at the value, he explained how sensitive it is and how it works and what might have caused the issue (small particle preventing proper operation). Since it was an original part on the furnace from 1998, he recommended we replace it - which we decided we are with Leith performing the service later this week or early next week when the correct part is shipped. The whole time Brian was professional and friendly and answered all the questions I could banter at him. We'll be having Leith come back shortly to permanently replace the ailing valve and won't need to think twice about calling them again if anything else comes up.

I spoke with the owner and he was wonderful. I did not purchase a new unit at this time, but it was a pleasure dealing with him. He seemed very trustworthy.

Mr. Leith came over first to service our furnace (just the annual service call, not to fix a problem) and to assess the area regarding what work needed to be done in order to install the air purifier. He explained in detail exactly what he needed to do and gave an estimate that day. He took measurements and made notes about what pre-work he needed to do. He also emailed me a quote in writing after he left. Mr. Leith built the necessary duct work before the scheduled day of installation. He arrived with everything he needed and got straight to work installing the air purifier. It took about 2 hours. He cut out a piece of the original duct work and installed the piece he built in his shop (because the air purifier had to fit into a wider space than the original air filter). He removed all the debris and cleaned the area very well before taking me into the furnace area to explain the new system. Mr. Leith was VERY thorough in both his work AND his explanations. He wanted to make sure I knew exactly how to maintain the new air purifier system. He was respectful of my time and of my home. He definitely knows what he is doing! His work is of the highest quality and I can't rate him high enough. I would recommend Leith Heating and Cooling to anyone. Mr. Leith is very good about answering all of your questions. His office is very friendly and they have excellent communication with customers. The cost of this work was $1370.

My tenant's furnace was not 'holding temperature'. Sometimes the furnace would 'run' and other times the furnace would just 'blow cold air'. I had a cold tenant! I reviewed Angie's List and located a local supplier with positive feedback. I called Leith Heating & Cooling on a Saturday afternoon & left a message requesting assistance. My call was returned about 40-minutes after I placed the call. Leith's representative was personable & professional. She stated that Leith 'was booked' for the afternoon, and that the earliest someone would be available is 'tomorrow morning', (Sunday). After conferring with my tenant, I again called Leith and left a message requesting a Sunday morning appointment. Brian returned my call within 20-minutes. Brian outlined that the 'after hours' visit required a fixed-fee to visit the residence. The fee included the first hour of trouble-shooting. We exchanged the necessary information & firmed a 10:00AM Sunday morning appointment. Brian arrived a few minutes prior to the appointment. The diagnosis & repair required about 25-minutes. Brian explained 'what he was doing' & 'why he was doing it'. Prior to leaving Brian questioned me regarding furnace ventilation. The furnace is located in a 'utility closet' & Brian was unable to view the vents installed on the 'far wall', ('behind' the furnace). Satisfied that the closet was vented, Brian collected his fee & departed. Per our discussions, Leith does not offer a 'formal' Furnace/Cooling System Maintenance program. Two weeks later - I still have a 'Happy tenant'. I selected Leith because of their high rankings in Angie's list, but will continue to use them for their professionalism & ability to 'get the job done'.

Brian was great to work with and will definitely be called on again for our future HVAC needs. He was professional, thorough and honest with feedback and opinion. He also offered a great referral for a chimney sweep...the next project on our to-do list!

They are very knowledgeable at what they do. They were very helpful and gave me a lot of tips on how to do things. They were very friendly when they were working.

When we moved into our house in the fall we quickly realized that our upstairs finance was not working. We called Leith and they came out immediately to help us solve the problem. We were the last call of the evening and Brian treated us like we were the first. He solved our problem and got the furnace working again that night. We were very impressed with his work ethic and his customer service so we hired them to do general maintenance on our HVAC in the spring and the fall.

He was extremely professional and punctual. Initially, when I called him, I thought we needed a new humidifier filter, but he explained that the filter we had still looked great. I appreciated his honesty. He cleaned our humidifier and didn't charge me a penny! Also, he honored a lower priced coupon for the cleaning of the furnace, which saved me $10.00. About a week later, I received a handwritten note thanking me for my business. A rarity in today's service world!

Turned out to be a very expensive compressor. He told me it just didn't make sense to spend that much money to replace that old of a unit. He gave me a quote on replacing the whole unit, and didn't charge me for the capacitor, which I returned to him when he dropped off the quote. All I paid was his standard service call charge.

He cleaned the furnace and brought it up to date.

He came out the very next day. The price was reasonable. The work he did was good, and he was very professional. He calmed my concerns about possible damages. He also cleaned up after himself.

I am still amazed that Brian did not want to take any payment - he said that it was on the house. We have never worked with him or his company before this, and yet he has been generous with his time and professional advice. We will definitely call him again in the future for all of our heating and a/c fix-ups and maintenance issues.

He did an excellent job. He showed up about thirty minutes late, but he had a good reason as to why. He is very professional. He explains what he is doing very well. He informs you of what parts you will need and the cost before he does the work.

Mr. Leith was on time and performed the required tasks associated with seasonal servicing of an air conditioning unit in a timely manner. He thoroughly explained what he had done. In addition, he helped me by answering questions re: a heating problem I had experienced this past winter. (My previous AC/Heating company went out of business this past early spring and had left me with a potential problem). Mr. Leith asked if I had the coupon (from Angie's List) and discounted my original bill of $89.00 to $79.00. Needless to say, I was very pleased with the friendly and professional service and I would highly recommend Leith Heating & Cooling.

Called in the morning and came out same day as the A/C would not turn on. Brian tried several things, but, unfortunately the unit needs replacing. Brian is just a wealth of information and spent a lot of time explaining and answering our questions. The gal that took my phone call in the morning is also just super nice, as was Brian, he was very friendly and has everything handy in his truck. They are a great company and will use them when we will replace the unit, although they do offer financing, we just prefer not to go that route. Will definitely use them for fall service of the furnace for the winter season. My review really doesn't do justice to the service and information we received, he REALLY knows his stuff, and is very willing to share his knowledge.

He arrived on time. He started by laying down plastic sheeting on the areas on the home where he would be walking especially on the carpeted stairs and in the basement. Drained water as required from system so that old boiler could be disconnected and was very careful so that he did not make a mess. Removed all old equipment carefully so that walls and stairway were not scratched. Carefully brought down new boiler and other parts. No smoking or bad language in the home. All work done in a very professional manner. Workmanship was excellent. All plastic sheeting was removed. All areas where he walked was vacuumed and left as clean or cleaner than before he came. Mr Leith is a true perfectionist. He worked all day so that we could have heat before he left. This work was done in the last few day of December, 2007. After watching him for a while I was so confident in his performance that I felt that I did not have to watch him any more. His performance exceeded my expectations.
