Have lived in this townhouse for a couple of years and never had the furnace checked, went on Angie List to find a company to used Was not disappointed, Leith was very professional, he was running a few minutes late but he called to make sure it wasn't going to effect me and my time frame. Price was what they said, he came took around 1/2 hour to do cleaning. Will be calling them to do the spring cleaning on my a/c, would recommend to friends and family.

We bought this house about 6 months ago and since the furnace had a lot of rust on it we were not sure what was wrong or how much it may cost to repair it. Brian determined that the humidifier above the furnace had been leaking and caused the rust. The furnace needed to only be cleaned. We are very happy with the work he did, the price he charged and his honesty.

Leith recommended the appropriatly sized furnace for my square footage and house lay out. They did other work that was needed as well and recommended what was needed rather than what they would make the most money off like some other HVAC contractors I also got estimates from.

We recently bought a house, and had been noticing that the air conditioner didn't seem to be working too well, so I scheduled an A/C check up with Brian. When he inspected our unit, he found that it was damaged beyond repair- by of all things- the previous owner's dogs' urine! He did not even charge us for the visit, and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

We had several companies -- all from Angies List-- bid this job. Price range was from $750 to $1800. Leith had the lowest bid and most extensive warranty. They gave us a few different solutions to our problem andthe pros and cons of each. They were honest, professional, punctual. Cannot say enough good things about them. Highly, highly recommend them. And as always, so glad we used Angies List!

He arrived on time,evaluated the system and determined that a leak exsated in the freon system. He also determined that the air conditioner was extremly dirty. He cleaned the system and replaced freon and installed a sealer

Brian installed a new air conditioning unit for a foreclosure I recently purchased. The previous owners had neglected to do basic maintenance on the unit and as a result it was in shambles, which is so common in mistreated foreclosures now. Brian came out and did a thorough inspection and then gave me a fair estimate on a new unit. He also was able to clean and inspect my furnace for the upcoming winter. One of them wasn't working so he did a quick repair on it. He was straightforward on the repairs needed and encouraged me to have a second opinion if I wanted to confirm his opinion. I decided to go with his service and upon installation, he ran into several additional issue that he was able to fix at no additional charge. He runs a small family business and the service and customer focus is fantastic. When it comes time to replace the second AC unit or one of the furnaces, I'll definitely use Leith again!

They do an excellent job. They get an A. I have been using them for about five years. They are always prompt. When they schedule an appointment, they are going to be here. I have recommended them to several people who have used them. They are honest, and they do quality work. The work they do stands up. You don't have any problems left when the work is completed.

Pete came out and cleaned/inspected the furnace. I explained that the humidifier had a missing damper handle, and Pete installed a handle for me at no extra cost. He also ensured the damper would perform properly when opened/closed using the new handle. I had questions about how the humidifer worked, and Pete provided thorough explanations and made sure that I understood everything. A great experience.

I had a good experience with Leith Heating & Cooling. The service was prompt. He came on a weekend but only charged me the weekday rate. Out of fairness it wasn't a far drive for him, but it was still nice. He was able to pinpoint the problem quickly and fix it quickly. It was a very hot day and he was able to get it running again within 10 minutes.

Both the heat and air conditioning in my townhome seemed not to be working, and the air conditioning has been working poorly for some time. The technician inspected everything and got the heat working immediately. There was no real problem with that except that the filter was dirty and showed evidence of a probable leak from the humidifier. However, the air conditioner had apparently run out of freon as a result of a gradual leak -- which should not happen. The technician attempted to determine the location of the leak with air pressure, but could not locate it. Therefore, he charged up the system with freon and cleaned it, since it was fairly dirty, contributing to its inefficiency as well. He suggested that if he comes back in the fall to inspect the heating unit and humidifier, he would also be able to tell how much freon had leaked from the air conditioner and, therefore, how serious the leak is. He recommended annual inspection of the heating system (especially for safety) each autumn, and inspection of the air conditioning each spring. He also measured my filter and recommended using disposable ones, as a way to keep the filters cleaner, rather than using the existing type, which has to be washed every month. His company will be sending me a service agreement that I can sign to get discounted charges for annual inspections and service calls. The technician was very methodical and detailed in his work as well as in his explanations of what he was doing and why, and of the choices and options I had available. I l felt well taken care of, respected, and well served by this company.

Our furnace was failing to automatically turn on causing just cool air to push through the vents unless we turned the furnace off and then on again. We suspected the sensors were dirty but did not know how to clean them ourselves. Called Leith based on Angie's List reports. They were prompt in arranging for a serviceman appointment. I believe the repairman may have been the father of the owner of the company. He was prompt for the appointment, confirmed our diagnosis, totally cleaned the furnace and solved the problem very quickly. We truly appreciated having our thoughts on the matter considered. We will defintely use this company again.

Came home from vacation to a cold house. Work schedules prevented us from being able to be at home for the repair. We gave them access and felt completely safe for them to come in and do the work. They arrived quickly to find that the inducer was defective, drove to pick up the replacement part and had it repaired within a couple of hours from the time I called! We came home to a warm house! I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. Very professional!!

The furnace was making a high pitched sound when it turned on. In addition, the furnace would ignite, then turn off and ignite again. I called at 8:00 am thinking I was going to have to leave a message but Brian answered. I told him the problem and he said he could come out before 10:00 am. He arrived before then. He knew why the furnace was turning on and off and he cleaned the flame sensor. Unfortunately, the furnace didn't make the high pitched sound again while Brian was there. He said he thought it might be one of the motors but he didn't want to change anything until he knew for sure. He mentioned that the filter could be causing the motors to work harder and that sometimes sound can be caused by a dirty filter. He recommended that I change the filter. I mentioned that I couldn't get the thermostat to hold the same temperature so he set the thermostat. On his way out, he noticed that my water heater was discharging water onto the floor. I told him it was making loud clunking sounds and he said it was probably caused by lime build-up and that I probably needed a new heater. He recommended someone to me and the person he recommended proved to be very good. I'll definately call him again. I changed the filter; no more noise.

Brian was extremely professional! He showed up on the dot of our scheduled appointment and immediately got to work. He was beyond honest and extremely detailed in his service of my boiler. I will definitely be using Leith in the future!

Our heat went out in the middle of the night. We woke up to a house with no heat. Called Leith at 7:30, left a message. Message was returned at 8am and they were scheduled to come out at 10. They arrived promptly and discovered that it was a cracked ignitor. It was fixed before lunchtime. He was straight-forward and friendly. We will be using them for regular maintenance from now on.

My boiler begain acting up on New Years day and it looked like after thirty years it was ready to go. I called Leith Heating and Cooling and they were able to arrange a time for an estimate for a replacement that worked out for my busy schedule. They took time to explain what needed to be done and gave me a very a comprehensive description of my options. They double checked doorways to make sure the new boiler would fit and made sure they had all of the required supplies before starting the installation. As a result they had the new boiler installed and running before the house even got cold. I found them to be very professional with excellent communication skills.
