Lee's Carpet & Floor Care

After agreeing on the project/price, I get a voicemail saying that he forgot to tell me that I had to move mulch/sod away from project area for epoxy project. Besides being able to see part of the paver bricks after the job, he blew the grain all over my driveway, plants, mulch. He said to get my landscaper to blow it off (for which I would tip for doing his job). He left sticky substance on my lawn that was the only section available to my dog (and our entry/exit from home until a day later). He only takes cash or check and won't give an invoice/receipt unless you ask - and then YOU have to fill it out. Pay more for a professional service.

We had used Lee's carpet cleaning for many years. Lee was generally punctual and did a good job, so I was quick to take him up on his offer to do another project for us. We were renovating another home prior to moving in and the family room floor was unlevel. Lee said that he could easily fix this. He met with my husband, said he could do the job and quoted a price of $1000. We accepted the job. He worked on it for a few days and said he couldn't do the job for that price, he would need an additional $400 to complete the work. We accepted his proposal once again. After spending $1400 our floor was no more level than when we started. He picked a few areas and placed material in them to help level, but many other areas were still uneven. We had another contractor out who leveled our floor and we were able to put engineered wood over the concrete slab. I sent Lee a letter asking for a partial refund and never received a response. He is great at carpet cleaning, but don't take it to the next level with him!

The sidewalk was necessary, the rest was aesthetic, and it all looks great. Will be calling him back to do the garage floor if we can ever get it cleaned up.

The interaction was very good. We have been using them for 6 years now. They started offering the epoxy coating service and we took it up. They did a good job. We paid $150 for the carpet cleaning. They were very professional. They do a great job for us because we have been using them for a long time. They are very thorough and very clean. They are quite efficient. We prepare the house for them by moving the furniture, but they offer a good service. We will continue with them. They are quite reasonable.

First of all, I almost stopped him in the beginning from starting services because he barged into my home with all his equipment when I answered the door. He barely said hi and started directing his helper. No introduction, no going over the job entailed. He was rush, rush. Looked around; saw that there was furniture to be moved and told me it was supposed to be moved out of the rooms already. I was not told this before hand otherwise it would have been done. I have never had to do that before carpet cleaners have come before. He started rushing upstairs with equipment and I had to stop him telling him my husband was in the shower. This made him irritated. I asked him if he was running late and rushing through my job. He said no but "time was money" and never stopped to even look at me while talking. When I complained about his behavior he threatened to leave. Unfortunately I was listing the home that weekend and needed the job done. All carpet cleaners I have ever hired before, moved furniture as needed and prevaccumed; not this company. When I was asking him about it he said I was supposed to do all that and that I needed to get moving the furniture because as he said "time was money". I was upset and panicked as I had a lot to move and it was clear he was not waiting till I was ready. I was literally running with chairs and tables, stacking things in the only room I had available that wasn't being worked on. We did have some chemical reaction which turned the carpet fluorescent yellow, then red when he came to fix it. The carpet is ruined and he did agree to replace that carpet (not as good of a carpet) in that room. Before agreeing to replace the carpet in that room, he actually suggested moving furniture over the spots so that the buyers would not see the stains. I'm still waiting for the carpet replacement. In addition, since I couldn't get the dining table out by myself, he rolled up the corners of the rug and did not varnish under the table. Now I have a large spot not varnished. I want him to come back to do it because the new owners are going to see that it is not varnished. Frankly, I'm not looking forward to calling him because of the bad experience. The carpet cleaning was so so and we had to deal with soaked carpets for 3 days. I would not recommend Lee's Floor and Carpet Care. I think he did try in the end to butter me up for referrals but frankly, I was very shocked and disappointed at the whole experience.
