West Chicago Custom Countertops

Did not go well. Equipment to measure was not working so they measured by hand. Piece came and was wrong size. They replaced it but I still have large gap in the wall on each side of my pass thru. They said they would send someone out to repair the wall. Never heard from them again.

The workmanship is outstanding, the staff is helpful, friendly and responsive, and the price was excellent. The only reason I'm not giving them a 5 star rating is because they changed the layout from what I approved. When I went to meet with Isela their suggested layout was marked on the slab. I asked for a change because I wanted the most beautiful part of the slab to be on the bar countertop instead of tucked next to my refrigerator and stove. She taped the new layout while I was therer. After the installation I kept thinking something looked off, so I pulled up the photo from my phone, and sure enough, whoever cut the slab changed it back to their original proposed layout. I'm so disappointed that someone apparently decided to change the layout and thought I would never even notice. I don't know that I will be able to do business with them again or give a referral.

I called and they were here within 30 minutes. Drilled the hole and cleaned up. Awesome service!

Very quick response with multiple options/quotes. Gave options to fit within budget. Measured kitchen free of charge to better customize the quotes. Went to the place of business & hand selected from existing inventory to save money. Had the countertops customized and installed within one week. Whole time from start to finish was less than 2.5 weeks. Highly recommend based on quality of product and service.

At their location they had lots of options and allowed us to take samples home to determine what we wanted. They provided very competitive quotes quickly and had flexible scheduling for measurements. They attempted to installed within a week after the measurement. They did make some errors cutting around the sink and after a little convincing they recut new pieces in only a few days. The installers were pleasant and timely. I'd do business with them again.

They helped me select and installed a granite vanity top, shower seat and trim in bath remodel. My interior designer subcontracted them so I can't comment on cost as I didn't pay directly. It's a small place but the office staff was very informative, friendly and accommodating. There is a good selection of remnants which is a great way to save on smaller granite jobs. The installation was well done and one followup visit to repair a small "divet" was handled well. On both visits they did not arrive anywhere near the time I was told--once they were very early, and once very late. Since I was at home both days, it didn't inconvenience me. I am planning to replace our other bath vanity tops and I will return to them first for a quote.

After first checking two big box stores armed with detailed drawings and dimensions of the countertops being replaced we arrived at West Chicago Custom Countertops. The office people seemed much more knowledgeable and helpful than the big box people and the samples to choose from were much more extensive. After seeing nothing that particularly interested us at the big box stores, we quickly found three alternatives that were of interest to us at West Chicago, and estimates based on our drawing and dimensions were quickly prepared by Tish, who was very pleasant to work with. West Chicago's prices were significantly less than the big box stores. We took samples home with us and made a selection.. When we returned the samples Tish arranged for someone to come out and make the final measurements on the following Monday (resulted in a small change in the estimated cost) and the countertops were installed by the following Thursday. The people responsible for doing the measurements and later those responsible for installation arrived on time, were friendly and easy to deal with. The installers disconnected and hauled away our old countertops and sink, and completed the installation of the new in half a day. Our plumber arrived the next day to reconnected the plumbing.

It was good. We had a really hard time deciding on the piece of granite for the bathroom countertops. When we went back there several times, they always gave us samples to bring back here. They came when they said they would and they put it in well. One of the servicemen was in a hurry and there was a hole in the granite that got there probably when they put it in the truck. I called about it and they came the next day an fixed it. I thought they gave us a good price.

They were fantastic, they responded to my home in one hour accessed the situation and came back first thing the next morning. They worked well will my other contractors , who told me they knew what they were doing and got the job completed. I would recommend them to anyone!

This company provides high quality service. I had hired them to do two separate bathroom projects with granite tops, previous to this kitchen project. They do quality work and are as timely as humanly possible with an ongoing remodel job. Very easy to work with, nice and very pleasant office people and very knowledgeable and skilled craftsmen. Nice selection of products.

The people there were wonderful to work with! They bent over backwards to accomodate our work schedules. Very nice, and willing to work with us on the price. The install went very smoothly and the counters look amazing. We are thrilled!!!

Cost of project was very competitive. Installation was good. Troubles started when we asked them to return to fix the vanity top because it was etched. Was not the vendor's fault. Burned three Saturday mornings and one weekday morning waiting for no shows. Workmanship and materials are fine. Can't go wrong on the price, but the episode with scheduling the repair left me frustrated. Update: Naturally, 30 minutes after I posted this review, the crew showed to complete the repair. I appreciate having the job done!

This is the 5th counter top or shower curb job that West Chicago Custom Counter Tops has done for us. They are an outstanding company. Ramiro has an eye for color. He always knows what will look good in your room. They have a good selection of granite and good quality sinks. Prices are very fair. The vanity top, sinks and shower curb that we purchased from them this time were for our master bath. Everything, including the installation is perfect.

They came out took measurements and within a week I had a new granite kitchen top with a new double bowl sink.....Removed old in and out in a couple of hours,,,,Old tile backsplash was removed with no damage to drywall and installed in 2 days.... They were professional and cleaned entire area as though no one was ever here....The kitchen looks great...Put house up for sale and sold in 2 days......Great doing business with would use in the future and recommend to others..... Price, workmanship and attention to detail great bunch of people to work with....

They did an excellent job. We were very pleased with them. They did a very nice job and they were very efficient. We had someone else do it 7 or 8 years back and they just made a mess of things. The people in the actual office were very helpful. It was a very nice experience. I would recommend them to anybody. When I went into the Kohler store looking for sinks, they recommended West Chicago Custom Counter Tops.

I worked wtih Ramiro to obtain a quote for a small countertop job in my parents laundry room. Although the job was quite small Ramiro took great care to obtain the full details, promptly write up a detailed and very clear quote and answer all my questions. I went with another supplier simply because I had worked with them before, but everything about Ramiro's response to my inquiry gave me a great deal of confidence that West Chicago Custom Countertops is a very professional and quality organization. I will welcome the opportunity to work wtih them on other projects in the future.

I went to their office and after asking looking at samples I asked for budget friendlier options I was given a tour of their yard and was able to purchase remnants big enough to complete my small kitchen. I was able to get 3cm quartz countertops at a price lower than I had been quoted for 2cm quartz at the big box stores. They came in and measured one day and came back the following week.

I cannot recommend West Chicago Custom Countertops highly enough. The price was excellent ....pre-sale service was impeccable only to be outdone by service during and after installation. It's a family run business....I visited their small showroom and warehouse in West Chicago, picked out the slabs of granite I wanted, the edge finish and the owner, Ramiro, threw in the sinks for my kitchen and my bathrooms. A week later 4 guys showed up to install the stone and it looked great! This is the first time I've had granite counters...so I thought I was seeing cracks or gaps in sealer material...one call to Ramiro and he sent someone over to reseal and polish the same week! This one is a keeper! I'd give my business to this company even if they charged me a lot more than they did!

Had work done by this company two times in the past few years, and once again we were extremely pleased with their work.

Worked out very well from start to finish. Selections were good and prices were great. They came and measured on time, delivered on time. Had an issue with our shower seat and they had to make a new one and then we had to pay a little more to have it scribed to fit exactly since the walls were not straight. Would definitely recommend and use again.
