+ 0 moreI called them twice and sent a text message twice asking to setup an appointment for an estimate. On both calls, they said they would get back to me to make an appointment, but they never did. Text messages were simply ignored. With their lack of response, I'm glad that I did not hire them.
Description of Work: I wanted to create some new planting beds and have some bushes and grasses planted, and then have everything mulched.

Had option to pay in cash for a discount. Contractor did not offer to procure building permit from Village of Bartlett. |Quality was excellent but the price seemed too high.

+ -1 moreGenerally, they mow on Friday or Saturday, but rain and truck problems have delayed the service. That is really the only complaint, and it is trivial since no one can control the weather. Would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: The company has been mowing our lawn on a weekly basis for several weeks. They do a fantastic job including mowing, weed eating, edging, and blowing the driveway and side walk.

Description of Work: Miguel Valdez and his crew removed the sod and planted five bushes. They also removed the sod for two 4' x 8' raised bed vegetable gardens. They took extra steps to reinforce the wood forms (by pounding in additional nails) for the gardens even though that was not part of the job. They put in the weed block fabric that I furnished. They supplied garden compost, a mixture of soil, mulch and fertilizer. I had requested two cubic yards, which should have filled the 12" forms to within 2" of the top.[http://www.soildirect.com/calculator/cubic-yard-calculator/] After settling, the material was 5" - 5 1/2" from the top, which would indicate that I was about 0.59 cubic yards short. I discussed this with Miguel and he insisted that they brought two cubic yards. They removed all the waste from the digging (and took it with them).

concrete driveways
+ -1 moreOverall they are terrible. They took up my old asphalt driveway and put in a conrete driveway. First they said 4-5 days and it took them 2 weeks. Then they cracked my sidewalk to they had to come back a week later to break that up and replace it. The driveway looks great but other than the 2 things I mentioned I would pick someone else.

+ 1 moreIt was a good experience. They did an incredibly beautiful job on the patio and the driveway. Their workmanship was exceptional and amazing. They did it pretty much by hand and didn't have heavy equipment, which I actually appreciated.
Description of Work: They tore up the existing patio and driveway and replaced them and tore out an existing fence and replaced it.
