My wife and I are pleased with the kitchen remodel and would recommend Synergy Builders to anyone wanting a solid remodeling company. As with all remodel projects there were items that could have been done better/differently, but our overall experience with Synergy Builders was very positive. From the planning and design through execution Synergy Builders did a great job and we enjoyed working with them to remodel our kitchen. This was a stress free remodel. Minimal change orders. I knew what was behind the walls so I didn't expect any surprises that can happen in remodeling. Everything went very smooth considering my wife and I, daughter and two grandsons lived in the home through the remodel. Workers were punctual and kept the workspace safe and clean. I would definitely use Synergy Builders again.

The project was actually completed about 6 months ago, but I wanted to use my kitchen for a while before I wrote a review. I now feel I can give a thorough review of the work done. I contacted Synergy online and heard back from them within hours. Several days later an appointment was scheduled at my home. They had many good suggestions including pushing back an outside wall to allow us more space. I think that was a critical decision in allowing us more flexibility for the design. Both my husband and I agree working in the kitchen together is now so much easier! The design services were very helpful. So many choices had to be made, but it did not become overwhelming. Most decisions were made at their place of business with samples available. All of the "crew" were easy to work with and very professional. This included any sub-contractors Synergy employed for the project. The quality of work was outstanding. There were a few minor problems along the way, but they were always addressed quickly and to our satisfaction. Synergy has a high-quality reputation, and, obviously, wants to keep it that way. Our next project will be bathroom remodels, and we plan to use Synergy again.

Mark and his team were very professional. I was kept informed as to what was happening and what I should expect. The project finished almost on schedule (delayed a few days due to backsplash supplier), but was still within the expected duration. They were very good about site protection, and my daily life was disrupted as little as possible. I am already considering hiring Synergy again for my next project.

Complete gut and remodel of the main floor of our townhouse, including kitchen redesign & remodel. They also gutted our 2 piece bath to include a shower. We also had new flooring throughout and did a facelift to stairway. They were extremely professional and followed through on numerous issues that came up due to faulty construction by the original home builder. The process took a lot longer than expected primarily due to issues outside their control. I would definitely use Synergy again in the future. The finished remodel looks even better than I had hoped for.

We could not be more pleased with both the end result and the entire process. Sharon took us through the design process, in a no-pressure manner. She worked extremely well with us, understanding the needs of our family and incorporating her experiences into the ideas we brought. With so many choices available for every aspect of a kitchen remodel, Sharon did a fantastic job in helping us narrow in and make the decisions. As we were locking down on the design, the Synergy team did a thorough site review - double-checking measurements, and investigating behind walls and soffits. This is when we were introduced to Steve, the project manager for our job, and the 'behind-the-scenes' production manager who made sure everything was scheduled perfectly. It didn't take long for us to learn that there were some structural adjustments required, due to some strange decisions made by the original builders of the house. We also learned that we had a significant leak through the tile in the master bathroom. Steve and Sharon did a phenomenal job working with us on the options, as we decided to include remodeling the bathroom into the project. They synchronized the schedule and were able to incorporate it with absolutely no impact to the kitchen schedule. The quality of the people working onsite was fantastic. Everyone was professional, courteous, and clearly knew what they were doing. The communications from Steve were exactly what we wanted. We received regular updates, just as we had requested in the beginning. I was able to reach him by phone, e-mail, or text whenever I had a question or needed to pass along a decision. I particularly enjoyed our walk-throughs that occurred at various stages of the project. Steve was extremely thorough, and even helped us adjust some of our original decisions (e.g. grout color for backsplash, electrical outlet/switch colors). The pricing was also exactly as originally estimated and contracted. We had a significant change order (addition of bathroom remodel), which they were able to mitigate the costs on by synchronizing it with the kitchen work. The price may have been higher than other quotes, but I firmly believe they were not like-to-like comparisons. The quality of the workmanship and the communication were unlike any we have previously experienced. And the work was completed exactly on schedule (some things ahead of schedule). We have another bathroom to remodel in the near future, and we will definitely use Synergy for that project.

I'm having my basement finished and contacted Synergy for an estimate based on previous positive reviews. I didn't move forward with them but my communication with their office and the meeting I had at my house was great. Very comprehensive meeting and they provided a very detailed estimate with a 3D view of what the basement would look like.

We hired Synergy to do a complete kitchen remodel. We did not change the foot print of the kitchen but had everything torn out and redone. We were happy with Rod's plan for our kitchen and he helped us scale it back to stay within budget. Nicole was very helpful in picking out the cabinets, backsplash, lighting and countertops. Mark and Adam got the project off to a good start. They did a good job off protecting the existing floor and putting up barriers to protect the rest of the house from dust. Mark kept me informed of when things were going to be happening. Things went mostly along on schedule and Mark would let me know if things changed on the schedule. There was a problem with getting the appliances but that was not in Synergy's control. Overall I was happy with the job that Synergy did. The workmanship is great. Eric did a great job on the cabinets. The electricians, painters and tiller all did very nice work also. The workmen were all very clean and considerate. The kitchen looks great and functions well. I will have them come back and do other jobs in the future.

First, Sharon did a great job with the design. She took areas of the bath/bedroom that were not being used and redesigned them. She was phenomenal at developing a design that we loved. She really "listened" to us and incorporated all our ideas and needs. She also was extremely good at "guiding" us to choosing the right tile, tub, sink, counter-top, cabinet, shower, etc... that looks great. Second, our on-site supervisor, Steve, and his team did a great job with the actual remodel. They were top-notch on customer service - always introduced themselves, told us what they were there to do, how much time they would be with us, and extremely careful with our things. The job site was always neat and clean. We loved everyone that came into our home, from the demolition crew, the plumbers, electricians, tile guy (he was phenomenal!!) to the carpet layers and painters. The wood workers did a great job of matching our woodwork so that everything looks like it was always there. Steve was also a great leader. You could tell that his team really respected him and did their best for him. He is a great leader because he took care of problems even before we knew about them!! He would point them out and give us options for dealing with them. You know, with an older home, you never know what is going to come up. He took responsibility and accountability for his team. He also was very communicative and very responsive to us. In addition, we trusted every person that Synergy brought to our home. And, their estimate was right on! And, this was huge job at $43,000.00. We will definitely use them again and have already recommended them to all our neighbors and friends. Alex and Mary Samusevich

Our project manager, Steve, was the best. We are extremely fussy people about the work that we have done in our home. I can't say that everything was perfect but Steve was on top of things all the time and made sure that anything and everything that was not to our standards was taken care of. Synergy is a company that takes pride in their work and if things are not up to their standards, they re-do them until they are. We had some additional costs over what we were quoted, some of that was because we added things along the way but we also had some things that in our opinion should have been taken into consideration prior to the beginning of the job. We had a problem with a tile contractor that they were using and the bathroom tile was re-done more than once. One time, we thought it was fine but Steve said that it wasn't up to Synergy's standards and they had to do it again. We have been told that they no longer use this contractor. Would I say that there were no issues, no, because I don't believe that in a job like this, everything goes perfectly. However, that being said, they made sure that in the end, everything was done perfectly and that we were happy. Yes, there were hiccups along the way but I would have no problems with hiring them again and have already recommended this company to my neighbors who came to see the work and were impressed with the job that they did.Synergy Builders made every effort to work with us in getting us the best prices from their contractors. They truly went above and beyond and we really appreciate that!

Rod and team have been prompt, responsive and overall just great to work with. I have enjoyed our interactions with them and they have been willing to put in the time to answer our exhaustive list of questions and keep the project moving forward. We haven't yet decided to work with them and they are still extremely on top of things for us. They have spent the time as a team looking at all of the options, thinking through potential problems and they communicating those to us. We are excited to continue the process, but I thought it would be helpful for those thinking of getting Synergy involved in bidding out a project - I'd highly recommend them from that standpoint.

The project went great. My husband and I traveled three times during the remodel. It was fantastic to know upon our return the project was on schedule and we were always excited to come home and see what had been done! We didn't even need to be there! The house was always clean at the end of the day and staff was always polite and simply got to work. We will work with them again, couldn't be happier with our new basement.

Recommended to us by family who had used Synergy services. We met with them at their office & in our home to work out a plan & estimate of cost. This was a full first floor remodel. One of the selling points was that Synergy would work with us while we did some of the work ourselves to reduce cost. When we had questions about things we were doing ourselves they were very willing to answer our questions. Thanks, in part to Synergy, we have a fabulously remodeled first floor. We couldn't be happier.

This was a positive experience from my first phone conversation with Rod until Mark removed the lock box from my front door. I had talked with other companies to get estimates. As soon as they discovered I wasn't going to sign on the dotted line at the end of the conversation, I never heard another word from them. Rod and I had several discussions before a contract was signed. Rod understood what I wanted and the price range where I wanted to be. He kept his suggestions in line with my price perameters and the quoted price included all materials delivered to my house. My research had indicated that this was not always the case. Once we had a design and materials were chosen, my construction manage was Mark. Mark is a delightful young man whose focus is on the work and having it done properly. He was always available to answer any questions I had. Phone calls were returned promptly. I was prepared to deal with the usual construction mess that I have experienced in the past. I was pleasantly surprised. There was a minimum of dust and construction debris was cleared out at the end of every day. My house is 50 years old, so I was expecting some hidden issues once the work started. I wasn't disappointed. There was a minor electrical issue that needed to be addressed to bring the bathoom outlets and fixtures up to code. At this point, Tony came in to do the work. Tony was very thorough and suggested that I might want to replace the existing electrical service since it was not to code. I decided to get that work done as well. It was a good thing I did. After the work was completed, Tony showed me the circuit box he had removed. The wires had begun to melt. All indications were that it was just a matter of time before there would have been a fire. This was a remodel that may have saved my life. In summary, I have only good things to say about Synergy and their team. Their work is excellent and the team is professional.

We just spent our first Christmas in our new home and when people tour our home, they constantly ask us about our contractor. The work is excellent and the design help was cutting edge - our project manager had experience with tile work so that's where he was able to help within drawing/laying out the tile pattern for our bathroom. We don't know of anyone else who has a "waterfall" glass mosaic tile wall in their master bath. Do - engage Synergy early to help with determining replace/repair choices; Don't - leave any areas in the contract without specivity. As with any renovation job, the more specific about pricing that you can become - the better. There will be unforeseen conditions - it is good to have per unit pricing to say in your budget!

John has been very patient and willing to work with us in an effort to keep costs down. He has been very diligent and we will be meeting to discuss further in 2 weeks. Went to showroom on last visit. Quality of materials looks good.

This is review is long overdue. Synergy finished our basement for us in spring 2011. We really wanted to live with it for a good year and see how things held up. Now a year and half later I can say we are as pleased as we were the day they finished. They worked with us to reach a price we could work with and held to their estimate. Our lower living level is a great retreat for the kids and out of town guests as it features a living space, bedroom, and full bath. Designwise, Alex did a great job to make the space functional and at the same time visually appealing. Adam kept everything running smoothly on the production side. They offered us good suggestions on colors and tile/carpet choices and showed us where we could save a little money here and there. The work was done on time and the level of communication was in keeping with what we requested. They were responsive and did everything by the book. I have heard horror stories from neighbors about remodelers who tried to cut corners or bypass permits. One of the reasons we picked Synergy was that they did everything as it should be done. I also liked that the job started with a schedule in my hand. I knew each day what work was going to be done and who would be coming and going from my house. I would definitely recommend them and we hope to use them again, maybe for a master bath remodel.

Very good experience. Synergy is professional. Did an excellent job planning the job and discussing different options. We are very happy with the way our bathroom turned out. The kept our place clean. The process was not without issues, but problems were resolved fast and farily.We were very comfortable working with Synergy. They were on the slightly on the expensive side, but for us the extra services they provide were well worth the slight increase in cost. We will use them again for other projects.

We hired Synergy to complete the most ambitious project we've undertaken to date - a complete gut remodel of our kitchen, dining room, and main floor bathroom. We talked to several design/build companies and also explored the option of being our own general contractor by hiring individual builders / plumbers / electricians,etc. In the end we chose Synergy because they gave us the most confidence that they would do a quality job, in a reasonable time frame, for a fair price. We're very glad we made this decision. The process from start to finish was excellent. We met in their office/design studio several times before construction started to nail down all of the design decisions. At first when John at Synergy explained the design process, we were surprised at how much time would be involved in the design before we could start knocking stuff down. But in the end, we learned that because of the time we had invested up front, there were no unexpected costs, no unexpected flaws in the design, and no unexpected delays. Synergy provided a project plan which outlined all of the important dates & milestones. The key is that they stuck to it. This allowed us to plan ahead of time to be out of the house on the days that would be exceptionally loud or when the power would be out (I work from home). The head contractor Steve was exceptional. He kept us in the loop on everything that was going on and answered all of our questions promptly and professionally. We felt very comfortable with him heading up the job. Speaking of the job, here are the details of what they did: Removed a load bearing support beam and a wall which allowed us to combine our kitchen & dining room. Installed drywall & insulation. Built a multi-tier island which we custom designed. Re-did all of the electrical & lighting, installed cabinets, under-cabinet lighting, appliances, sink, granite countertops, tile backsplash, and new hardwood flooring. They also gut remodeled a bathroom which included the flooring, toilet, vanity, and electrical. And, they swapped out a few doors.The job was completed on time, and at the cost we had agreed upon. During the project the team was very careful to keep the dust out of other areas of the house. And at the end they provided a cleaning crew. The project was completed about 6 months ago. We decided to wait a while before posting a review, just to see if things would fall apart after they left :) Suffice to say that has not happened. We are extremely happy with our new kitchen & bath, have received many compliments, and have recommended Synergy to others. In the last few months we've seen the Synergy signs pop up at a couple of other houses in our neighborhood. I'm sure that eventually Synergy will have trucks parked in our driveway again.

We had a project manager who made sure all work was done on time and the crew was very careful to protect my floors and walls. The design aspects were outstanding and a cleaning crew finished the project.

From start to finish Synergy builders did an excellent job. I wanted a company that would take care of all of the details and all of the subcontractors. Because it was not a huge project, it was difficult to get other companies to even come out. Synergy created an innovative plan and carried it out in a timely way. They were under pressure to get it done for us before a certain date. Although some suppliers let them down on getting materials on time, they were upfront about any delays and still got the job done in a timely fashion. We were impressed with their professionalism throughout the process and would definitely use them again.

A guy came to our house, took some measurement, weeks later we went to their office and was given a quote that was substantially higher ( about $ 50000 or more higher) than the other 3 builders' (who are way more prominent than Synergy Builder) quoted prices.

We liked the way they worked and their system. We liked their price. We would use them again.

Very well. Design was a little rough, They did not concentrate on price in intiail design so things needed to be cut back ,leaving a feeling of not getting what we wanted, but all else went great. They did the entire job in a month and it came out as good as we could hope for the price.

They were good and did a great job. They were very knowledgeable and punctual. They also gave a convenient completion time, but were very expensive. I will contact them in future.

The designer had great ideas to make basement not seem like you are in the basement. Tear down was completed on schedule. Electrician work was very good. We had custom made built in entertainment area. This was delivered later than expected but the quality was excellent. Overall I would say to be sure that the specific items chosen during the design process are actually what is written in the agreement by actually pointing out each item if selected from their materials.
