Mr. Handyman of Wheaton-Hinsdale

The service I rec'd was above and beyond the call of duty. I called Mr. Handyman at 3:30 and by 4:00 a technician was on his way. I thought I had to buy a new storm door since it was bent in so many places from the wind gusts. I drove to home depot and bought a door but it didn't fit in my car, so the technician, Tom, drove over and loaded it in his truck. By now it was 4:30 and getting dark. I told Tom I needed him to get the door installed today since my family would be coming in for Christmas. He said the sun is setting and wasn't sure it was safe working in twilight. With my pushing and cajoling, Tom agreed to try. After surveying the job, he realized the door I got wouldn't work with the deadbolt lock I had taking up room to clear the storm door. Without further complaint, Tom sized up the job and said he thought he could fix the broken door saying" I can fix anything." I had confidence in Tom and a grateful heart. He already had the horses out and the door off the hinges and proceeded to knock out the dents and get the door up. As the job was finished, I asked Tom to put up a mirror that I forgot to have mounted. Tom cheerfully came in the house and put the mirror up and wrote up the bill. I was sure this would be very expensive , being that the job started at Home Depot and ended with the storm door, but Tom agreed to help me by returning the $290. door without charging me for his time. You don't get that kind of service these days. Tom was so nice and patient, and I was a bit hysterical making soup and baking a coffee cake for my family. Everything turned out, my family came in and there were no residual effects of the wind storm that bent the storm door. I am very grateful that Mr. Handyman was there for me! Thank you!

My Handyman was absolutely excellent. Their customer service rep was super responsive and got us scheduled in no time. Our handyman was excellent. He arrived on time and did a great job. Even cost more than they quoted. We couldn’t be happier with their services and will definitely use him again.

They saved me a ton - I didn't have to rent a bucket truck to reach the lights. They made a special trip to confirm they could complete the work with a 40' ladder, so they could quote accurately, then scheduled and completed the work quickly

After a long week working remotely, I was met with a friendly guy from Mr. Handyman. He was great! Immediately I was given confidence after requesting the saw-work be done outside which he gladly complied. In no time, while I was still working , Mr. Handyman efficiently completed the job meeting my expectations! Afterwards, I was given a fair bill and found the work areas neat and tidy.

Nate was excellent. He was very professional and was obviously an outstanding craftsman. In addition, he was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We would hire Mr. Handyman again in a heartbeat! Thanks, Nate.

The technician did an excellent job assembling 2 desks and an office chair. The tech was friendly and knowledgeable. I would not hire again because it was a bit too expensive. But the quality of work justified the price.

Experience was great. Handyman was scheduled a week out but showed same day! Our handyman was skilled in both projects - work was done quickly and looked great!! I wish I would have called them earlier instead of ignoring the projects for so long.

Had a kitchen drawer repair, and this last time, a front door handle repaired. I particularly like the ease of making an appointment and working around your schedule. Also, the competence of both workers was a relief: did not have to re-do the repair, and they went out of their way to do what they could without requiring new purchases. Strong recommendation.

Tom did a phenomenal job! He was so professional and courteous and his craftsmanship was amazing!

Jim did a very nice job, though the time window did not allow for interior trim to be completed. I was surprised by the great cleanup in the job sites, including removing protruding nails, and trash organization. Very practical approach to a non-standard job on a 140year old house, and a clear concern for period craftsman style.
