Mr. Handyman of Wheaton-Hinsdale

It didn’t you sent two different service technicians out the first was scared of heights and doesn’t do windows on second floor. The second came out and said there is no way that one technician can install the window. Snd he did not bring a ladder either insane this is after you cancelled two previous appointments and made me wait three weeks. I told them the dimensions of the window when I called and that it was a second story window.

Tom Kissee from Mr Handyman services of Wheaton was great! He secured some facia that came loose from the peak of my 2 story house. Tom was prompt, friendly, and did a great job! Also scheduling thru Mr Handyman of Wheaton was easy and prompt. I texted them my problem and they set up an appoint to fix it in 2 days. They also also updated me on arrival time and followed up to see if I was satisfied. I would highly recommend Mr Handyman of Wheaton and Tom for other handyman services!

Mark Golab did a phenomenal job finding the issue and fixing it. Our living room have a lot of fish tanks with one that was covering the outlet that ended up causing the problem. He understood how difficult it would be to move the tank, so he offered to work through the cabinet beneath it. It was a really uncomfortable spot to work in, so we greatly appreciated Mark for going above and beyond in helping to fix our electrical problem. We're also thankful that Mark took the time to explain to us how to troubleshoot our fuse box and manage out outlets better.

The finished product turned out better than I could hope for. Everyone from Mr. handyman was professional and courteous.

Everything went very well. Tom was very respectful and finish the work quickly and efficiently. I would definitely hire them again for projects.

From start to finish the process was so easy! Scheduling the job with Katie was a breeze and when she had an earlier appointment she was able to confirm it quickly so our work was completed sooner than expected. Gus was early and did a great job identifying and correcting the issue with 5 different closet doors that would not close properly.

Tom came at 8am on the nose. I showed him my broken pocket door, my deteriorating bay windows, my worn wood floor and my unfinished paint job due to old curtain hardware. He removed all of the unused hardware and patched wall. He answered questions about other issues i had. He sent an estimate to me email. He was very helpful and i will be asking him back to do the jobs per estimate.

Had to reschedule due to additional items needed to fit new door. Not the fault of the installer.

The service I rec'd was above and beyond the call of duty. I called Mr. Handyman at 3:30 and by 4:00 a technician was on his way. I thought I had to buy a new storm door since it was bent in so many places from the wind gusts. I drove to home depot and bought a door but it didn't fit in my car, so the technician, Tom, drove over and loaded it in his truck. By now it was 4:30 and getting dark. I told Tom I needed him to get the door installed today since my family would be coming in for Christmas. He said the sun is setting and wasn't sure it was safe working in twilight. With my pushing and cajoling, Tom agreed to try. After surveying the job, he realized the door I got wouldn't work with the deadbolt lock I had taking up room to clear the storm door. Without further complaint, Tom sized up the job and said he thought he could fix the broken door saying" I can fix anything." I had confidence in Tom and a grateful heart. He already had the horses out and the door off the hinges and proceeded to knock out the dents and get the door up. As the job was finished, I asked Tom to put up a mirror that I forgot to have mounted. Tom cheerfully came in the house and put the mirror up and wrote up the bill. I was sure this would be very expensive , being that the job started at Home Depot and ended with the storm door, but Tom agreed to help me by returning the $290. door without charging me for his time. You don't get that kind of service these days. Tom was so nice and patient, and I was a bit hysterical making soup and baking a coffee cake for my family. Everything turned out, my family came in and there were no residual effects of the wind storm that bent the storm door. I am very grateful that Mr. Handyman was there for me! Thank you!
