Matt and his technician Dan went way above and beyond. First, some background about the other providers we tried first. After a brief overnight power outage, our Genie garage door opener stopped working. So after verifying it was indeed dead (not just unplugged), we went to angieslist and called the top-rated provider in our area. Their answering service said they'd be out in the morning to repair the unit. Instead, they showed up and demanded $400 to replace the unit. When we told them to take a hike, they demanded $150 for the 1-minute service call. We finally got that awful provider to leave. Then I got on the phone can made some calls to other providers. We talked with 3 different service companies. Their responses were: we don't repair Genie, we don't repair Genie, and call Genie. So we called the area Genie sales office. They gave us the number to a local garage door sales company, who in turn referred us to Matt's Garage Doors. Getting a hold of Matt was, for sure, the best part of this long adventure. Matt not only said he could repair the unit, but actually suggested the 4-year old unit should still be covered by Genie's warranty. He didn't just give me their number, he called Genie to set up the free part shipment! Then when the parts showed up two days later, Matt's technician Dan come over promptly to replace the circuit board and tune up the garage door. The repair and tune up took about an hour, and they only charged us for a service call, $99. It was one of the best service experiences we've had, with any contractor! If you need your garage door serviced or replaced, we highly recommend Matt's Garage Doors.
Description of Work: Replaced the control panel on the garage door opener, tuned up the track and timing of the door, reprogrammed remotes.
