It was great. They are reasonable. He is an "A+" guy that is why I trust him with my clients.
Description of Work: The one that I keep going back to is GW Interior Remodeling. I am actually using them right now. I am working with them with a project now but I had completed six projects with them in the past. Last January; he did the master bathroom, the hard wood floor in the second floor and three doors and everything. He just up graded the whole second floor.

Greg is a good craftsman, has the ability to perform quality work however you have to monitor Greg when it comes to building codes. Greg quotes are labor and his pricing is built on ability to quick turn a project without permit. I consider Greg's work of Home Depot / HOBO's whereas Big Box Store shelf products are what Greg suggests in his projects and wants the homeowner to purchase them thus avoiding product warranties. When working with higher quality products, quality might suffer whereas Greg does not build in the proper time in job setup in his schedule and pricing. One of my projects solder joints have already failed and leaks had to be repaired.

I use him all the time. He is the most professional contractor. His guys are great. They are always on time and always stay within the time allotment of the project. They always deliver. They are less expensive.

From the contractor's (Greg Witek) responsiveness to my first phone call to the last minute of clean-up, this group was a delight to work with. My husband was impressed with the fact that every morning they gathered and parked on the street at least a half hour before work was to begin (the crew all came from different parts of the city), and daily at 7:59 am, they were at the back door ready to go. They covered everything with plastic and/or tarps, removed their shoes when in other parts of the home. Each member of the crew is respectful and upbeat. They work steadily the entire day - no time wasting. The thing that most sets Greg apart from other remodelers is that he has VISION and CREATIVITY. He offers his ideas but will always do what the consumer asks, no attitude. When encountering problems (and in a 1950's home, there will be plenty of problems!), he is intelligent and creative in coming up with workarounds, knowledgeable about current code requirements. The quality of work is excellent; Greg and his group strive to please and will change or re-do anything with which you are not 100% satisfied. A decorator from JC Licht saw the new kitchen after it was complete, and she raved about the quality of work done plus the little extra touches (for example, trim on the bottom edges of the upper cabinets, tiled design Greg fashioned over the stove, plus attention to detail throughout); she said it was truly a designer kitchen. Because they work steadily and fast, my advise to anyone using this group is to have your materials on hand BEFORE they begin the job. Once we agreed to have Greg remodel the kitchen, he took me shopping to help choose flooring, granite, and cabinets. Then we waited the 6 weeks for our cabinetry order to arrive. Once the demolition actually began, they were in and out in 2 weeks! No little loose ends left-undone. Treat Greg and his crew respectfully and kindly and they will exceed your expectations (I had snacks, drinks and coffee available at all times which was much appreciated by each of them.) This was the second time we used this provider, and I will definitely be calling him for future projects.
Description of Work: We had our 1953 kitchen demolished including the soffits. The plumbing & some electrical was replaced, we had hardwood floors, high-end cabinets and granite counter-tops installed, backsplash on both walls tiled, new lighting, crown molding and chair-rail added, and the entire room was painted. They also turned a useless 2nd entrance hallway to a bedroom into a super-cool pantry closet. The $19,650 included labor charge plus construction materials and the cost of the cabinets, granite counter-tops, and light fixtures.

Greg and his crew of 3 other men are friendly, cheerful, interested in satisfying and doing an excellent job. Our bathroom floor was uneven (basement) and Greg observed that the 12and quot; tiles would most likely eventually crack, so he cut some up, made a lovely mosaic design in front of the new shower in order to avoid any future cracking issues. Was I ever impressed!! The new shower is gorgeous. Greg was willing to come back to install bathroom hardware once I bought it since I hadn't yet purchased it - no charge. They also vented our fan to the outside which had never been done properly before. They were in and out in 5 1/2 days which included having to work around the result of rain and a bit of flooding in the basement. They work Saturdays until 2 pm. We were truly pleased and have given Greg, the contractor 2 more jobs as well as referred him to anyone we know who was interested.
Description of Work: The shower grout in our basement bathroom had leaked and caused the wall to begin bubbling at the bottom; last July's flood aggravated the shower wall issues. We hired this contractor to tear out the shower area and replace it. We ended up adding on to the job by also having him tear out the existing ceramic tile floor and replacing it. We re-used our existing toilet (less than 1 year old) and vanity/counter (less than 5 years old). The contractor suggested that we bump out an area of the bathroom to accommodate a sliding door. Am I glad we did...it makes it look and feel so much roomier. The contractor went with me to the store to choose the tiles which I purchased myself. The $3500 he charged included demolition and remodeling labor as well as construction supplies such as cement board/wall board, etc. I also purchased my own paint because I am particular about what we use. Many people at our swim- aeorbics class have used this person which is why I did not choose someone from Angie's List...wanted to give him a try as he was highly recommended. I can see why! I let the contractor know up front that we had other jobs that needed to be done, and this was a try-out. I have since hired him for 2 additional jobs after this one.
