Gary Spielman Plumbing offered same day service for my plumbing issue. The secretary was able to provide me with a time frame window and half hour phone call when the plumber was to show at my residence. The plumber that showed was very professional and was able to fix my plumbing issue.

Called Saturday Morning. Sent someone out to look, said they couldn't do it today, but Monday will be out at 8:00am. Got a call Sunday said they couldn't do it on Monday, but they will call first thing to reschedule. Nobody called on Monday, so I called them at 9:45am. Lady that answered said that the person who makes the appointments isn't in yet,but she'll be in in15 minutes. An hour later I call again. Can't do it on Tuesday either. Wednesday for sure! Wednesday they did show up, fixed the issue, despite having to go back to the shop to get the right materials, and were done in an hour or less. The concept of being in the "service" business escapes them to a large degree.

I felt this company was not responsive. I do not believe they were good plumbers. The sink ran ok for a while and then the drain clogged again so I called him and he said they don't guarantee the work. I don't believe they actually cleaned it properly.

AFTER REPLACING THE PUMP, I NOTICED PURPLE STAINING ON OUR HARDWOOD FLOORS IN FRONT OF THE BASMENT DOOR. THE YOUNG PLUMBER WHO ACTUALLY DID THE WORK RETURNED THE NEXT MORNING AND APOLOGIZED BECAUSE HE HAD SPILLED PIPE PRIMER ON THE FLOOR. HE SAID HE'D TALK TO HIS BOSS ABOUT GETTING IT REPAIRED BECAUSE IT WAS HIS FAULT. ALMOST A WEEK LATER, AFTER THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY REFUSED TO CALL ME BACK, I INSISTED TO SPEAK TO HIM. FINALLY, HE GOT ON THE PHONE, SAID HIS EMPLOYEE SAID HE DID NOT DO IT, AND THAT I HAD POURED SOMETHING INTO THE PIT. I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EARS! WHEN I SUGGESTED THAT IT REALLY WAS NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL AND THAT HIS INSURANCE COULD EASILY PAY FOR THE THREE BOARDS TO BE REPAIRED, HE CLAIMED I WANTED TO HAVE THE ENTIRE FIRST FLOOR REPAIRED--NOT TRUE. I REPEATED THE INFORMATION ABOUT HIS LIABILITY INSURANCE AND HE SAID, 'LADY, *&^% OFF.' LATER WHEN MY HUSBAND CALLED TO TALK TO HIM, HE TOLD MY HUSBAND THAT I WAS LYING AND THAT HE NEVER SAID SUCH A THING. HE NEVER REPAIR

ACCORDING TO HIS ADVERTISEMENT IN THE WARRENVILLE DIGEST, HE IS A RESIDENT OF WARRENVILLE, NOT WEST CHICAGO.

THEY''VE TWICE ARRIVED EARLIER THAN EXPECTED. ESTIMATES OF TIME HAVE BEEN ON TARGET. DIANE AT THE OFFICE IS HELPFUL AND EASY TO WORK WITH ON SCHEDULING AND ESTIMATING.
