Description of Work: Needed radon fixed. Put pipes in our garage so we wouldn't have to look at it. Did an excellent job. On time and worked hard all day.

Description of Work: Rich Whisler, the owner of ACCURATE RADON, installed my radon mitigation system back in September 2007. Since then they have come back every year to verify that the system is working as designed and to make any necessary adjustments. | |Unless a major change is required, the annual maintenance fee is about $100 and extends their warranty for another year. The last time they were here, the additional cost was for the installation of a new white vent pipe to match our new gutter color. Since they originally installed the system, my radon levels have gone down to acceptable levels. | |The only problem I have with them is that they are sometimes slow to respond to phone calls and e-mails.

Description of Work: When our sump pump seemed to fail today, we knew just what to do. We called Rich at 8 am and by the end of the day we had a new sump pump going strong. Rich explained what was going on, what he did to fix the situation, and what other things we should think about and plan for the future. He was prompt, and on budget. I trust him and what he has done for our family and our home. In our older house we will surely need work done in the future, and we expect Rich to be with us every step of the way.

Description of Work: Rich and his entire crew were great. From Answering our first call, to showing up seemingly minutes after we closed on our new home he was there, where and when he said he would be. His price was good, knowledge and explanation of the process, outstanding. He went above and beyond what we discussed so that things were up to his high standards, still coming in on budget and and on time. Professional, friendly, and responsive.

Description of Work: Rich, the owner, spent a great deal of time investigating in order to give me a quote on radon remediation. He explained everything thoroughly, and discovered issues missed by a home inspection conducted prior to my purchase of the home. I confirmed with an independent contractor that all issues were indeed in need of remediation. I learned a great deal about my new home. On the day of the installation and remediation, Rich and his crew were in my basement the most of a day. They were friendly, professional and again explained each step of the process. They didn't leave until they were sure I understood the operation of everything that was installed. I highly recommend Rich and his company.

Description of Work: Sealed the foundation with polyurethane sealant & cracks in the floor. Then installed the sub-floor exhaust.

Description of Work: Radon abatement. We were at 14 which is four times the minimum level.

Description of Work: Installed complete radon mitigation system. System pulls air from rock layer under basement concrete floor and pulls it out and above roof line. Sump well was capped off and sealed as were exposed basement edges. Electrical connections were installed and controlling equipment mounted and adjusted. The whole system was tested and adjusted to perform optimally.

Description of Work: Installed a Radon mitigation system and a back-up ac/dc sump-pump in our new home. We selected an upgraded sump-pump back-up and also had some additional complicating factors with our Radon system installation that made the price a little higher. So don't judge their pricing based on the total amount paid above. We found that most Radon systems were in the range of $1,000 give or take a couple hundred bucks. Our cost broke down roughly as $1,200 for the radon system and $1,200 for the sump-pump back-up. We installed a BigWatchDog system and the pump itself was $600. Add on a new cover and some valves, piping and labor.
