Mike came out right away to provide a quote and he was both knowledgeable and helpful. Lining up the work was, however, a bit of a hassle. I had to call several times to get a date set and then had to call several times the day of because they were late to arrive (although it had been raining). Once the crew arrived they were very friendly and helpful. They did an excellent job. The tree was hanging over three properties and one garage. They worked carefully to remove a very large tree without damaging the garage or 3 different fences. Once removed, they ground out the stump and even dug a new hole for me to put in a replacement tree. When finished they cleaned up the mulch and all remaining branches. This was all done at a very fair price. I would definitely hire them again.

I had contacted two other tree services that ranked highly on Angie's List. I was asked to send pictures to one, but the job was not big enough for them to come from Carpentersville, even though they had recently done work for the City of Geneva right across from my house. Another said they would come out and give me an estimate, but I have not heard from them since. Tree Guy responded promptly when I purchased a Big Deal ($39) for an evaluation. I was also encouraged to use another Big Deal ($125 for $200 worth of work) they were offering to help lower the total price. Weather delayed the work, but a crew came on the first available day to complete the job. It took them about an hour and a half to hoist the tree out of the water with a crane, load up the branches, and grind the stumps. It was very interesting to watch them work from my upstairs window! The owner, Office Manager, and Crew Foreman were all polite, courteous, and professional. There was some paperwork that had to be done with the City of Geneva, and they took care of that for me. They did a nice job of cleaning up the area and took everything with them. It looks like there was never a tree there at all! I would not hesitate to call them again because they did good work at a reasonable price. I also appreciated the ready response so the work could be done before winter.

Excellent service will use again

We called for estimate. They came out the next day to give it. It was a Friday. We called to schedule the work on Monday afternoon and the trees were taken out by Wednesday. We were not home when the work was performed so there was no one here to supervise. When we came home the work was performed perfectly and everything was cleaned up as if no one had been here. We had other estimates and this company not only came in under those but also gave us an Angie's discount which made the cost even better. We will use them again.

Job went perfect ,,,, Tree and Stump were removed by promised date , When they left i couldn't even tell they were here the clean up was perfect //

His estimate came in lower. They were very nice on the phone.

Took two weeks to return phone call, but they were very busy with area storm damage. Had to return to complete roof limb removal. Due to confusion in communications additional trees were removed and roof limb removal was delayed. However they they did make it right with us. Best tip: when getting only a few tree removal done, mark the trees (with ribbons) to ensure the right ones are handled.
