They knocked into one of my overhead powerlines stretching it out. There are a few spots that we notice that the brushing looks different, but overall it looks very nice. They cleaned up the yard pretty well. They were very receptive to questions and were eager to please.

Sidewalk work was good, although I had to make them reset the wooden molds that shaped it because they weren't set straight. The building permit required installation of a 6 inch gas curb between the shed and the adjacent garage. The owner, Les, didn't know what this was, overruled his foreman, misread the permit instructions, and had his workers install a 4" high and wide strip of concrete against the walls of the garage, except in front of the door. This had to be taken out, leaving the floor a rough mess where the concrete strips had been. Shed floor was poured a little higher than the door stoop it abutted--looks bad. Shed floor is so rough that my kitchen contractor said he couldn't install the vinyl tiles I had purchased for it. They didn't remove the sill below the garage door and just partially poured cement over it. This created problems for installation of the fireproof steel door that the Village required as a replacement for the door into the garage. The workers were supposed to build a "box" around some electrical lines that entered the house in an area under the floor of the shed. Basically they just left a hole filled with dirt. They didn't seal the electrical conduit where it went through the foundation. Chipmunks got in through the gap and made mountains of dirt in the shed that they kicked out as they tunneled their home under the floor of the shed. Evicting the chipmunks was a real pain, and probably only the beginning of a multi-year battle to keep them out. Both the owner and his foreman were verbally abusive in attempts to intimidate me from asking questions about what they were doing and whether it would pass code inspection.
Description of Work: Remove old sidewalk and patio. Install wider sidewalk pitched away from house. Install foundation for shed addition to house. Worked as subcontractor of a company that was to build the addition on a "turn key" basis.
