Description of Work: Rivas Tree service was prompt in arriving, efficient, very skilled, hard working, and thorough in the work and the cleanup. My neighbor used the service a few weeks later and was also completely satisfied.

Description of Work: Al and his large crew removed a large crabapple tree in the front yard, a small tree in the backyard, trimmed a river birch and maple in the backyard, cut back overgrown bushes and ground out the crabapple stump. They were in and out in less than 2 hours and cleaned everything up to the point of raking the yard and using a leaf blower at the very end. The yard was cleaner than it was when they arrived. Very professional team. Could not be happier with them. The only other comment was I did take a little while to get on their schedule, but that was probably because of the tornado we had here in Grayslake.

Description of Work: Riva's removed a pine tree from my property that had been damaged from a recent tornado. Due to the amount of tree work in the area there was about a 3 week wait but once scheduled they were very punctual. The work performed was first rate - very professional job. I highly recommend Riva's for any tree work needed.

Description of Work: Did a top notch job in removing a blueberry bush/tree by the side of our house. Price was reasonable. The job was so well done that you couldn't tell that there ever was a tree there. Al was very responsive. Pleasure to do business with Rivas Tree Service.

Description of Work: They were wonderful. They contacted me immediately and came out the same day and gave me the best estimate of anyone else. He initially told me it would be a few weeks, but then just a few days later he said he was in my area and offered to come take my tree down that day.

Description of Work: They removed large tree limbs on small and large trees. The also removed old bushes next to the house and pruned many trees. They felled a large tree near the road. They removed all tree limbs and trunks and ground them into chips. Very importantly they also removed brush piles from heavily wooded areas and ground them up. They used a safe approach, were courteous, and did many extra things that I said needed to be done. The whole job took 4.5 hours. Cleanup was done very well. I highly recommend them to others

Description of Work: Removed a diseased tree, trimmed and shaped several shrubs. Hauled off all debris. Al Rivas showed up om time, did a beautiful job, took down a diseased elm tree without damage to the nearby fence. All debris was removed. Great job!

Description of Work: Great provider! Al communicated with me regularly via Angie's List messages & was prompt with replies & his estimate. He recommended taking out both my dying ash trees to save more money but was fine that I wanted to wait on the 2nd one and still gave me a good price. (His was the best of 3 estimates.) I also purchased an Angie's List Deal and saved $150. When I noticed a branch left in a nearby tree, which fell down before they took the tree down and therefore not their responsibility, Al sent a crew out to remove it at no additional charge. I'll definitely call him to remove my other ash when the time comes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Description of Work: The Rivas team performed a variety of tree services for our newly-purchased house which included (1) removal of a very large maple, (2) trimming and "canopying" of two other large maples, (3) removal of many bushes, shrubs and other small/medium trees and (4) trimming of overgrown branches and stump removal along our property line. The Rivas team arrived promptly and began the work right away. Although I am no tree expert, I was very impressed with the team's efficiency while executing the task. I also appreciated the consultation that Al Rivas provided on the front-end during the quoting process and I was pleased when everything was performed exactly as discussed. The bottom line is that I am a happy customer and would highly recommend this company to others.

Description of Work: Rivas came out and removed a massive willow tree that had split in half. They chipped the whole tree, ground out the stump, and spread the mulch. They also raked up after themselves. I would ( and am going to) hire them again.

Description of Work: Everything went fine, but they needed to buy a village permit for this year for my town first. The quote was provided quickly. Once scheduled, the job was completed as described with no trace of garbage left behind.

Description of Work: Riva's Tree Service was quick and professional. They removed about a dozen dead ash trees in our back yard in half a day. Our backyard was clean when they were finished, and Al returned to our home to make sure we were satisfied with the work (which we were). I plan to hire them again in the fall to trim the oak trees in our front yard.

Description of Work: Rivas removed a dead Ash tree in my front yard. Their quote was reasonable. When I accepted their bid, I was told that I would be notified a day in advance before removing the tree. Instead they arrived unannounced and took it down. While I wish that I would've been notified, I'm glad they removed it sooner rather than later. | |The team worked quickly, and my son was glued to our window as he watched them remove the tree. They tried really hard to be gentle with plants surrounding the tree, and did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. | |My only complaint was that they wouldn't accept the Angie's List discount of 5% as he told me that the price was already discounted. I didn't feel like arguing over $15, so I left it alone.
