Rivas Tree Service

Bought the $200 dollar special to have a tree trimmed that was hitting the roof. The tree was huge and had never been trimmed. For an extra $175 they trimmed back the entire tree. In no way was there any pressure to purchase the additional service. After the trimming they cleaned up every branch, twig and leaf. Excellent service.

We were very impressed with Rivas Tree Service. Al Rivas called us back the same day we left a voice mail message and came out to give us an estimate the next morning which was a Saturday. His price was several hundred dollars less than the first estimate we got and even though he told us his lead time was about 3 weeks out he said he might be able to come out sooner. One week later due to some scheduling changes Al and his crew were able to start our job and they immediately got to work and completed the job. Within 3 hours they were done and did a fantastic job of cleaning up all debris, even raking up many of the leaves that our trees had dropped on their own. I highly recommend this company due to their excellent responsiveness, their hard working ethic and their very competitive pricing. We are still waiting for the first company to get back to us after almost one month of waiting for a contract!

Al is a consummate professional. All the work was done in a timely and organized manner. He communicated with me regularly to let me know when the job would be done and everything went as planned. Plus, his price is extremely competitive. A great company to work with....

Al's crew got here and set up the back yard for the removal. They moved all of our patio furniture, grill and flower pots. Basically anything that might get damaged was moved to a safe area. The back yard was situated so that Al could not use any equipment to help with cutting down the tree. Al and his men used ropes to keep cut limbs from hitting our house and lowering them to the ground. They were very professional and efficient. I was amazed at how quickly our large ash tree came down. They worked very quickly and in a matter of a few hours they were finished with the job. Everything was moved back into place. The only evidence that they were here was the absence of the tree, and the wood chips where the tree had stood and where they had ground the stump. They did a great job at a reasonable price

I bought the $400 deal for $550 of tree removal. Al is extremely professional and has excellent response time. The tree was removed and other trees were trimmed. My yard looks great. Thank you for your efficient, dependable service, Al.

Two men came with a hudge chipper; They cut down and trimed the trees in about an hour. All tree branches and tree trunks went into the chipper, gone in a flash. When done, he sweeped up the entire area and drive way. It was a very neet job. I will be using this outfit again as I now have some bushes to trim.

Rivas' service and price were excellent. They were quick to respond to my inquiry, Al arrived as scheduled for the estimate, and provided solid advice. Once we contracted for the work, it took a little longer than expected to get on the calendar, but we were not in any great rush. Once scheduled, the team appeared as promised, removed a large ash tree very quickly, and completed pruning of other trees in a very short time frame. They checked in via phone several times while the work was in progress, and followed up to make sure we were happy/satisfied. For the most part, the yard was every bit as clean when they left as when they arrived. Gladly recommend to anyone for their removal/pruning services.

Came out promptly to diagnose problem with tree upon 1st contact. Kept me informed as to when they would be available to remove tree. Removed tree, ground stump and cleaned up and hauled away all debris.

They did a very good job and cleaned up nicely. They worked together really well as a team so the work was done fast. Definitely worth hiring.

His crew came in on time, all uniformed, and highly professional. They arrived with all the proper equipment, machines, chainsaws, ropes, etc. These guys are not merely landscapers -- they are Arborists. They knew exactly which trees to touch, which could not be touched yet because of weather-prone illnesses, etc. They were very scientific in their approach. Of the few trees they did remove -- most of it was that nasty invasive and noxious buckthorn -- it was quite a sight to see them scale the trees, swing ropes from the tree tops, and carefully cut and guide the trees down to a safe spot in the backyard. The house and neighboring property were never in danger from a falling tree. They also cleared out the canopy on top, allowing for sunlight to hit the ground. This will allow for sod to grow in a place where there never has been grass before. What would've taken other companies days -- if not weeks to complete -- Mr. Rivas and his crew had complete in less than a day. And they did a great cleanup job too. I will use Mr. Rivas in the future. And I recommend him to anyone looking for a professional arborist. He wasn't the cheapest quote we received, and yet, he wasn't the most expensive either. But I can say, he definitely was worth every penny. Had I contracted with a general landscaper, I believe I could've paid less, but in the long run, it would've cost us more, and the risk-exposure would have been exponentially greater.

Mr. Rivas was punctual, professional and polite. His crew cleaned up very well after themselves and worked very quickly. For the work done I felt the price was more than reasonable (compared to other tree trimmers) and he simply could not have done a better job. My wife and I were highly pleased with his performance and we give his company our highest recommendation.

I left a voice mail in mid July describing the work need, and Al contacted me that evening. We agreed on a day later in the week when he would come by to see the trees and provide his proposal. Al called again on the day we would meet to give me a specific time when he would come by the house. He got there punctually. Al's proposal was very competitive but I said that I was awaiting one more tree service to provide a bid. Once I received that final bid I was able to make my decision to accept Al's bid. Again I left a voice mail and Al returned my call the same day. I told him that I would like him to proceed with the tree removal. He said that he would put me on the schedule but that it might take 2-3 weeks before the trees could be cut down. The job was not a pressing issue. I was perfectly happy to have it done in that time frame. I did call Al at the beginning of the third week just to make sure that he still had me on schedule. He called back that day to say he would do it on the August 14 or 15. Al called me the morning of the 15th to advise that he would arrive in the early afternoon which he did. It took about two hours to cut down the trees, grind the stump, and clean up the bits and pieces. Everything was well done. The yard was as clean as when the work began. Al and his crew make a really good effort to avoid damaging the plants and shrubs around a smaller tree in the backyard that had to be removed. Aside from the hole in the ground, it was hard to tell if anything else had been disturbed. One of the trees removed was a hawthorn which was well-studded with long and sharp thorns. Once the area was cleaned up there were thankfully few if any thorns left on the ground. Furthermore a Al's crew spread the hawthorn's ground up stump as mulch around another tree which definitely needed it. I would be happy to recommend this firm's service to any of my friends.

Excelling service. I would give more than 5 stars if there is an option. Response - Quick Estimate - Came on time and gave the best estimate (compared to 4 others) Service - Within the the days I requested. Came on time. Everything at the same time - cutting the trees and removing the stumps. Quality - Very clean. Can't complain anything of their work or the crew. I am impressed by their service. Would recommend to anyone.

Al was very professional from the beginning. The day I called to set up an appointment for an estimate, my call was returned, and they arrived promptly at agreed upon time to give estimate and discuss getting permit for tree removal. The only glich was the actual tree removal. and that was due to weather, and Al called to tell us of his delay. We are already scheduled to use them in the fall for tree trimming. I would definitely recommend the company!

I requested an estimate online and one was provided in a timely fashion. The estimate was extremely competitive as compared to the other estimates I received to complete the same job. Rivas came out and completed the job in a timely fashion. The work was impeccable and the final outcome was better than I expected. True professionals. I will definitely be calling them back for any future needs.

They did everything they said they would. They were very professional and cleaned everything up after themselves. I was very pleased with them. There was one limb that was going to be trimmed and I asked them to leave it for my bird feeder. I was so pleased to find that he left it.

I emailed Al Rivas to request an estimate. He responded the same day. We met at an agreed upon time and reviewed all the trees on my property and how I wanted them trimmed. Al provided his professional input and gave me an estimate on the spot. It was a reasonable amount and based on previous excellent reviews on Angie's List I signed the contract immediately. The work was scheduled out a few weeks. In the mean time there was significant storm damage to one tree that required a large limb to be removed because of a potentially dangerous situation. Again, I contacted Al and he responded immediately. I sent him a picture of the damage, we negotiated a price and he and his crew were out that afternoon and removed the damaged limb. He has recently completed the work. 5 large trees were trimmed. Dead limbs were removed, overhanging branches were cutback and canopies were opened to allow for more light and to lighten limbs. Two aged ornamental trees were delicately handled so they would not need to be cut down just yet. When I got home and inspected the work, the trees were pruned as I expected and the lawn was clear of any debris. Al and his crew did a professional job. The best thing is that the trees still have a natural shape.

Al was right on time for the estimate and was honest, informative, knowledgeable and very competitive. He provide insurance papers before the job started and showed up as expected to begin. Al and his crew worked in concert to swiftly and effectively execute the job. Al did ask me for feedback as the job was progressing and this was very welcome, as I was able to tweak the trimming plan as he was still in the tree. They had all the right tools and skills for the job and operated in a safe and professional manner (this is a dangerous profession!) . Very professional, and highly recommended. Al and hew crew went above and exceeded my expectations. I will use them again without a second thought. When you find a great professional, you hang on to their number!

He was absolutely incredible. He was very honest and I can't say enough about the guy. I had been out of town the day he was doing it and he called me and said I have a little bit of a mishap. One of the branches hit the gutter and he just wanted to make sure everything was okay. It was something that you can't even see and we would've never notice. It was a huge tree and they did it in one day. When I came back, the yard was immaculate, you would've never known they came except the tree was gone.

Al and his men did an outstanding job trimming and thinning the tree that was overgrown. They worked fast, professional, completely cleaned up the whole area...and the tree looks great! I will recommend them to others.

Al came and looked over our property. In addition to agreeing to cut down dying trees, he also suggested that we prune two mature trees that were "heavy" at the top. He said this was both improve their looks and perhaps prevent them from falling over in a storm. The team came out at the appointed team and completed all the tasks. Al did a good job judging which limbs needed to be pruned. We were happy with the way the two trees looked afterwards. The clean up went well. All in all, we were very pleased.
