Description of Work: After purchasing the deal, i contacted Rainbow International. At first, she refused to honor the coupon and said "we dont have any deals with Angie's list". Later on she apologized after checking with someone else. Then she said "our reps are busy and i will keep you on the waiting list". After that i never heard back from her till date. Obviously, with my basement flooded, i couldn't have waited for more than 48 hrs. I called another service provider who showed up within an hour of my call and took care of my basement.

They called yesterday to confirm my appointment for today between the hours of 11 a.m.-1 p.m., which is what I asked for. They then called this morning to tell me they had a lot of emergencies due to all the rain this past weekend & wanted to come earlier. I told them I could not do that. The girl told me she would get back to me, which she did, telling me that they could not make it today & wanted to reschedule. I have a hard time believing they didn't know this the day before when they confirmed. Their reveiw said they were dependable - I don't think so!!'

Description of Work: Description of the work: Serviced the water damage to floor and carpets in four rooms of a finished basement as a result of a failed injector pit sump pump. Water began flooding my basement on one day prior to Christmas Eve. They came the next morning, provided and estimate and began the repair within an hour. Multiple comercial high-speed fans and dehumidifiers were places in different rooms and remained in place for four days.The entire area slowly dried and was followed by a carpet cleaning and scotch-guard application of the entire basement.

Description of Work: One of my water pipes above our garage bedrrom broke due to extreme weather. When I discovered it it was around 3 am. The only plumber responded to my call told me how to find the main water switch and suggested Rainbow whom I had come out first thing in the morning to give me an estimate. He gave me a contract with an estimate of $4500 with a caveat that he wouldn't know how extensive the damage was until he tear the dry walls and wall to wall carpetoing, i.e., it could be more. The work involved: (1) garage: 2/3 of the ceiling, 2/3 of one length of the dry wallI and 1 wall in the width of the garage had to be removed; (2) bedrrom: wall to wall carpeting, a kitchen wink with the cabinet, the dry wall behind the kitchen cabinet, dry wall the wideth of the room, a 3' x 3' area of dry wall opposite the kitchen cabinet; and (3) wall to wall carpet on the stairway and landing, dry wall in one wall in the landing and s 2'x5' area under a stair way. I had to pay also for a garbage dump at the total cost of $250 as well as the cost of the floor dryers. He was out at my house every day there after to change the directions of each dryer which after the 2nd day I said I could do this. He told me "oh, it wouldn't cost you anything extra." The following day, when I asked bor a bill he told me it was $7500 to which I said that would be it. Still, he continued to came back each day to change the fan directions. At the end of a week, there were heavy things in my garage which my out of the country husband needed to check before I throw them out and would it be ok for them to leave the dumpster for an additional 2 days. I asked him would it cost any extra to keep the dumpster foran extra two day. He said no. To make a long story short, he ended up presenting me a bill close to $9700 with the dumpster rental increased to $450 with a STRAIGHT face. I paid him $8,500.
