Jose could not have been easier to work with. Very professional, prompt, lots of integrity, helpful with suggestions, very respectful of site cleanliness, very fair pricing. Jose was a great communicator and followed-up to ensure our satisfaction. MQ Painting is one in a million!!!

Jose was on time for his estimate. He and his crew of three showed up on time on the day they promised and worked for about 11 hours to finish the job in one day. This was all hard to get at work near the roof that required them to be on my 10 pitch roof to do almost all of the work. All work appears to have done correctly and of high quality. Jose was easy and co-operative to do business with and i would highly recommend him to others.

Jose and his team are fantastic! They showed up on time, worked over the weekend to make up for rain delays and kept me informed of their progress. I will use them again.

Took a few weeks to schedule but once we got a date scheduled, they were right on time. Very clean, friendly and professional. Did a great job and even did a small add-on job! House looks great!

Jose stained our deck last fall, and by November Jose and I agreed that it needed more stain. He said he would put more on in the spring at no charge if I bought the stain. This became a nightmare project for Jose and his crew. He came back in May and power washed, then the record rains started, so the staining was put on hold long enough to where he had to power wash again. He got the stain on, and unfortunately the humidity caused it to bubble. He then had to sand the whole deck and basically start from scratch! He did all of this at NO charge to me (besides the stain). He has renewed my faith that there are still decent contractors out there that actually stand by their work, and want to make sure the customer is satisfied.

We were very happy with Jose and his crew- He was quick to respond to our request for an estimate on painting our exterior trim and doors. They were able to get our project done quickly. They were friendly and professional and the house looks great!

I was preparing my house for sale. MQ Painting did an excellent job on everything. The whole interior looked beautiful after the job was done. Jose and his work crew were professional, courteous and respectful. I enjoyed working with them. We were delighted with Jose's work on our deck. He was very thorough and upfront about repair issues and what could and could not be done and why. He was very honest and realistic about his timetable. He showed up when he said he would and when add on work became apparent he was very reasonable about charges. (too often contractors take advantage of you with a low quote to get the job and then start adding things they should have included) Jose did not do that. His workers were very good at their jobs. Very clean and neat. I have referred them to several friends already and plan to use them again for other painting jobs. He was everything you would want a contractor to be. Having owned several homes over 45 years I have dealt with my share of contractors. I can tell a good one pretty quick. MQ Painting is a good one. You definitely should have them look at your project. You will not be disappointed.

The project went very well with Jose and his crew. I am so glad I decided to go with them after seeing his high reviews here on Angie's List. I would highly recommend his painting and carpentry talents to anyone in the Chicagoland area. Even with us living in Bartlett and him in Waukegan he made the trip down for a free quote and talked with me about what I would like done with the house. I had told him that I had previously talked to 5 siding companies about wrapping all of the wood trim in aluminum siding. He informed me that even that aluminum siding would start to get spots on it after several years and would need painting in 6 to 8 years. Plus the quotes from the siding company was over 2,000 dollars what he quoted me for board replacement and painting. After going through all of the quotes with the siding people and seeing his reviews here on Angie's List I did not want to deal with anyone else, so I called him up and made a date for the start of the work. Jose and his crew first did the power washing a week and a half before the job started. I have a very odd schedule with my job and am out of town quite a bit so we got that out of the way first. Then after a few rain delays Jose and his crew started the job. He started with a crew of three including himself and painstakingly scrapped and lightly sanded the entire trim, facia, and soffit surfaces of the old paint. We had pretty much determined that this house had never been repainted since 1990 and was in dire straights to get painted and have it taken care of. He picked out which boards he thought would need replacing and took down the dry rotted crown molding piece above our guest bedroom for complete replacement. My wife and I were still lost on paint color even after having a designer come out from sherwin-williams. So Jose told us what direction he thought we should go and I picked out the paint color of Coastal Fog that I thought may work well. Jose said he would make sure we liked it by tinting the primer and priming the whole house first, rather than priming and painting as they go along. This worked out really well because the next day they came out and primed the whole house and we decided that the color would work perfectly. Jose then also helped us pick out a secondary color for our fish scales on the very top of the house. He put up three colors and my wife and I decided on one of the colors that worked out perfect for us. Day 3 started the painting of the house with a crew of three again. They finished about half of the house that day. Jose also painted the side door entrance of the garage, and the front main entrance door that day. Along with the railings on the steps that were originally black which we made white. He also painted the galvanized steel chimney cap that was all rusted and staining my vinyl siding as well as cleaning the siding. I introduced Jose to the Magic Eraser from Mr. Clean which he had never heard of. It worked quite well on removing the majority of the stains from the rust on the siding. He also painted my faux furnace chimney with brown rustoleum. Half of the house was finished that day. I also brought up maybe painting the front gutters on the house so they matched the new feeling we were giving the house. He said if they had time that it would be done. Day 4 started with a crew of four which included his brother who does all of the carpentry. They assembled the new crown molding piece and mounted it above the guest bedroom and painted it. They also re-did both sides of the roof facia which was in bad shape. Someone had left gaps in the sections that touched the roof and then filled it with spray foam. Meanwhile birds had come in and been trying to nest in-between the gaps. So Jose and his brother removed both facia on both sides of the roof. Re-cut some new pieces and put them up so there would be no more gaps in between the roof and the boards and thus cleaning up the look of the roof esthetically. The workers finished painting the rest of the house and they also touched up the doors with another coat of paint since the first two coats didn't get full coverage. They also painted all of the front gutters that day which was not originally part of the work detail but he agreed to do. It really helped to finish off the overall look of the house. When we got back from father's day brunch Jose and his crew were just finishing up and I got to thank them for a job well done and hand over the check. All in all I would definitely use Jose and MQ Painting again. They are highly detailed workers and Jose was great to work with. He filled me in on all details of the work throughout the job and whenever I had questions he happily answered them. He even helped us choose paint colors when we were had no idea where we wanted to go with the color on the house. Don't know what we would have done without him. I did not get a single bad vibe from Jose or his crew. They are some really hard workers and it shows in their final product. If you want the job done and the job done right you should hire MQ Painting!!!

Jose, The owner did an excellent job , had a problem with the front door but was worked out very well. Showed up on time with all appointments and did great follow up through out the process . I would reccomend Jose to family and friends.

Jose and his workers were all professional and friendly. From the initial contact and quote to the end of the work being performed, Jose kept me informed. I would recommend them to anyone.

Provider was communicative, punctual and responsive. Provider and crew were courteous and careful of plantings adjacent to the home. He requested (and was permitted) to work on a weekend to make up for weather delay. Some minor additional spot painting work and cleanup of old paint edges on masonry was performed at our request. Cleanup of paint chip and fascia repair debris could have been better.

The work was done quick and he explained what he was doing and I am happy with the quality of the work.

We're about to sell our house and needed paint and patching done in a few locations scattered around the house. The paint looks great and the patches are invisible. His quote was very reasonable and they stayed late to finish a couple of extras. They were professional, friendly and I would highly recommend them.

Jose and his team did a fantastic job from the very beginning. His quote was not the highest quote, although it was higher than we had considered paying but in the end it was well worth it. He went above and beyond with everything and we even added on to the initial job and had him paint our shed and add 2 windows because we were so impressed with the results. They took care in every step, washing prior to painting, caulking, adding a board here or there to make it look better and the house looks fantastic. We would highly recommend MQ Painting even if you think that it is more than you want to spend.

Jose did an excellent job on our house and I would recommend him to anyone. At first I thought his quote was pricey, but his quality of work was worth every penny. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy. As the job progressed, more repairs and painting came up and he did them with no problem and still kept a timely schedule. It is rare that you see a contractor take so much pride in his work, and Jose does; going the extra mile to make sure it's done right ( i.e. he put 2 coats of paint on 2 sides of our house at no charge because he wasn't happy with the way one coat looked)

I have done multiple jobs with Jose. Last year they painted and power washed the exterior of my home and a small barn. This year they dry walled and painted my basement ceiling, walls, replaced baseboard and painted my front hall entry. Quality is excellent and they show up on time and finish when promised. Based on my recommendation he also painted two other homes in my neighborhood. Both of my neighbors were very happy with the work they did.

He was on time, honest, totally reliable, and did all that was asked of him with excellent workmanship. He is always friendly, answers his phone, and most important does what he says he is going to do. In addition he did several things asked of him in addition to the scheduled items. When he started he brought plenty of supplies like wood and paint. He cleaned up afterwards and I couldn't tell he was even there. No problems with anything. His customer service leaves everyone else in the dust. You can't ask for anything more.

This is the second time I used Jose and his crew from MQ Painting. The first time was last year for some interior work. I was blown away by his professionalism and low prices. This spring, I decided that I needed to paint the exterior of the house. I first received a quote from a "College" painter and one from a guy who painted my neighbors house. One bid came in at $4,600 and another was over $4,000. I called Jose and asked him to give me a quote. Not only did he beat the quote by $800 he did a lot of additional work that the other painters didn't suggest (He replaced almost a dozen rotting cedar boards and some trim boards). We decided on a color and he started his extensive prep work. He began by power-washing. Then, they did a couple days of prep work (scraping, sanding, replacing rotting boards, and priming all of the knot holes). I couldn't be more happy with my choice to go with MQ Painting and would strongly recommend them to anyone!

Great! Quality service, in a timely manner. Jose's team renovated the entire house including drywall, electrical, plumbing, tiling, painting, blind installation, new doors and lighting.

Josemanuel was very professional and gave us a very good price. He kept me informed along the way of any rotten wood he found. They cleaned up after themselves and the other workers were very professional as well. I'm very happy with the job and will definitely use him again. I'll be happy to show my house because I know how important referrals are.

Jose Quintanilla responded quickly to my email. request for a bid on interior painting we wanted to have done. He arrived promptly and gave us a very fair bid and we also added having interior crown molding installed and painted in several of our rooms. Upon agreeing on the work and price, he was able to schedule the work within our time frame . He and his crew arrived promptly, moved all items carefully out of the way, covered furniture with plastic and used painters drop cloths on all of the carpets. The work was done to our satisfaction and they completed it within the time frame agreed upon. They were very careful and did an excellent job of cleaning up when finished. Jose was very professional.. Jose encouraged us to contact him with any concerns. We have already scheduled him for another job.
