Hometown Appliance Repair

This company knew exactly what was needed to fix the lock on my Samsung microwave. They ordered the necessary part. When the part came in, they sent a qualified technician who quickly (in less than 10 minutes) replaced the part. The price seemed high to us, but the technician said that the part (a small piece of plastic) was expensive and their minimum labor charge was industry standard. When we initially called this company to ask about the price to repair the lock, it took several calls from us to get pricing information. The person who answered the phone had to call the technician to get the price and didn't call us back when she said she would.

It went really well. The quality of their work was good and I don't have any complaints.

I have been dealing with Hometown Appliance Repair since late August/early September. I bought a new Samsung refrigerator that had the freezer handle come off the first week. They ordered a new one and came and put it on. It didn't match. They have been to my house about 5 times with different handles. Apparently Samsung is no longer making the original stainless steel color that matches the upper refrigertaor handles. They spoken to the national parts person and in December I finally got a handle that is as close to the original as we've had. They even tried to order the upper handle to match the new freezer handle but that didn't work either. I have found both the repair person (Rich?) and the office person (Wendy) professional and kind. The refrigerator is flawed but that is an issue I have with Lowe's, where I bought it, and Samsung. The refrigerator is under warranty and I never paid anything despite the time they put into trying to correct the problem.

Russ is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He quickly made adjustments that the original delivery people had no clue how to do. He was very, very knowledgeable about the unit and a pleasure to have in our home. Best thing--this is his own company, so when you call Hometown, Russ is your man!
