I called and a rep came out, found the hole in which a raccoon got into my attic, and set a trap. One raccoon was caught and rep checked attic for more. A few days later rep removed trap and covered roof with metal to keep out water. I have used Animal Control Specialists before. They know what they are doind and are very responsive and reliable. They also carefully explain what they are doing and why.

When I called to get an estimate, John explained everything that was involved: cost for inspection and initial trap setup, additional charge for each animal removed. They don't charge for each visit, though, which is nice since they come daily to check on the trap. We called several animal control companies, since we really didn't want any skunks to be breeding under our front porch, only to have a whole litter of them come April! We had already done a bit of investigative work ourselves, so while we never saw an actual skunk, we had all the evidence: smells of it in our house in the middle of the night or early morning; clear signs of movement in and out of a particular hole; footprints in the snow that we confirmed online were skunk prints... So they came the next day, set up the trap, and late that night, the skunk was in the trap! Even though I was convinced of its presence, I was still shocked to see it in reality. They came the next morning and removed the skunk (by IL law, all trapped skunks need to be euthanized). Set up the trap, and late that night, a second skunk was in the trap! I was doubly stunned, as for whatever reason, I was convinced there was only one skunk. This one was much larger (male), and not as resigned about his predicament, as he must have sprayed in anger at some point. At any rate, the next morning they came out again and removed the skunk. The trap was left for another 4-5 days without any activity before they came to remove the trap (which also happened to be the day of a lot of snowfall, maybe 6" or so). They also gave us an estimate for closing up the hole, which we didn't decide to do then (we would have needed to wait for the ground to thaw, and also have some bushes removed, which would have been a fairly significant amount of work). We did not choose to have them do this work. In the end, we were pleased with their work, punctuality and professionalism. It was nice that they could do some closing up work on the hole, even though we didn't choose to have them do this service.

I emailed at 9pm, they returned my call first thing the next morning and had a trap on my roof later that day. They trapped one squirrel and closed the access hole the squirrel had used when a few days went by without anymore turning up. They were very prompt and efficient in all they did.

They kept a trap in order to catch the skunk. They took a day to catch it. They had to come back and check for other skunks, after they got rid of one skunk. So, they kept the trap active. They were very responsive. I dealt with them on the phone. I didn?t get to meet them when they came out. They were always courteous. I had no source of reference to compare their prices. I had a great experience with them and I?ll definitely use them again, if required.

This was a really good experience. I had a noise in my attic. I called Animal Control and they came out the same day. Al was great and called me as he was heading to the house so I could meet him and not lose a lot of time at work. Al checked all around the house. He showed me raccoon damage on neighboring houses and also on my fence. He determined the noise I heard was a mouse. He was great with the dog when he entered the house. Put what he needed in my attic and put some in a place close to my hatch so I could easily check in a couple weeks if it had been touched. Al was considerate of the budget I was working with to solve the problem. Also, when I called at 8:15, they were upfront on their pricing. I felt they were considerate and very upfront about costs and what I could do in the future to help take care of any problem. They also promised to come back out at no cost if I had any further problems (which I haven't). The noise stopped right away. I couldn't be happier.

They were excellent and professional. He does great work. The vents looked normal after all the work was completed.

It was fine. He had to come back with another piece of equipment, but that was understandable. It was a good service. The quality was fine and I didn't do a comparison for price.

Good phone service. Called to tell us when they would arrive. Came and did the job. Excellent performance.

When I called the company they said it would be $65 for a service call. I scheduled the call and they arrived at the scheduled time. The person explained in detail the procedure for filling the hole he also provided advice on methods to scare woodpecker away from around the house so we would not have this problem again. The only thing that was a surprise is that it would cost an additional $30 to do they work. I told him to go ahead and he performed the work as agreed.

I called on a Thursday. They came out on a Friday and evaluated and set traps. Very patient and explained the situation. Staff very good around children. They come out on Saturdays to check traps and ask owner to check traps on Sundays/holidays and call in. Staff will come out and remove animals on Sundays/holidays if animal is in trap for no extra charge. It took about 2 weeks to confirm that the raccoon was no longer in our attic. Staff called several times during then to confirm "symptoms".

We did not catch our skunk because the contractor had to finish his preparation - however, the Animal Control service tech came out to check and retrieve the cage. If I had more time, I would have left the cage out longer. They did their job!

Overall Great. I called on a Saturday morning and left a message. I received a return phone message saying he could come today and remove the animal for $95. I confirmed with the answering service who did not relay the message. I received a call back Saturday around 4 pm. He apologized for the failure to get my message and said he'd come Sunday and reduced the price to $75. He did. This was a lousy job for anyone to do since the animal had been dead a number of days. I appreciated that he apologized and came on a Sunday for a reduced cost. I would definitely use this service again. The 'B' for puncutucality is only for the minor mix up with the answering service since I would have preferred him to come Saturday. Please do not let that rating deter you from considering this service provider.

Experience was excellent. Steve explained the program to me and was punctual and helpful. Clearly, they have done this many times and it shows. I would highly recommend to anyone with critters in their attic.

We heard scratching noises in the attic in the early morning a couple days in a row so I check Angie's List and called this company because of their high rating. Steve set up monitors at possible entry points and then came back to check. It turned out we didn't have any critters in the attic, which was great. Finally, he sealed up four places that had gaps. He also made recommendations on a few other problem spots but we decided not to proceed with that work at this time.

I got Animal Control Specialist name from Angie's List. I called and got a person immediately. They came to my house the next day, told me how they would address the problem, and gave me an estimate. I agreed and they set traps immediately. They came each day and removed any catches. After two days of not catching anything they blocked up the area where the squirrels caused the damage. Start to finish was 5 days.

It went very well. They did not offer any discounts. Overall, they were responsive. They came out the next day after I called. They also came out when they said they would and were professional.

We have not experienced any further problems with the squirrels and they showed up promptly. They knew exactly what they were doing. They gave me a phone number to the person who actually did the job so I could get back to that person.

The were very nice and responsive. Since it took so long to trap they raccoon, they made very little money for the work they spread out over 3 months and consisted of daily trips to the house to check the traps and raccoon activity. They only charged for the initial visit, repairs to the roof damaged by the raccoons, one emergency trip to the house at night, and disposal of the one raccoon trapped at the end. They have also provide advice an a referral to a company that seems good for the necessary post raccoon clean-up that involves removing and re-insulated all of the attic insulation and complete clean-out to eliminate raccoon oder (or else other raccoons will be attracted back in to our house. This process is expensive but is fortunately covered by our home owner's insurance. The clean out process is not widely known, but confirmed as necessary by our insurance company and town's animal control officer.

The squirrel removal turned out to be very difficult. The technicians set traps in the attic and outside the house at the entry point, but the squirrels did not "take the bait". The technicians came back day after day. Eventually we concluded that they squirrels were out of the attic and ACS repaired and sealed the hole. It turns out that one must have still been in the attic and worked his way down into the house. I discovered him sitting on the window sill of our study late on a Saturday night. The owner came out early on Sunday morning and removed the squirrel without incident. There have been no further intrusions. The wasp problem disappeared immediately.

This place was wonderful, helpful and informative. They do all sorts of services for all sorts of animals and we have used them before with great results. They came out about 4 times over a period of a week to keep checking and when we knew the Raccoons were not in the attic, they closed off the vent.
