Steve and Norm were great. They set a trap in front of the stoop on our townhouse. We had tried every remedy in the book and skunks kept coming back. Once the skunk was trapped (it was a large male), it was removed and the trap reset. At the same time, the area around the stoop was skunk proofed with a screen that went 1' underground. It was securely anchored to the facing concrete and not visible, however a hole was cut into the screen in the event other skunks were still under the stoop. After a weekend of no skunks, the hole was patched with screen and the trap removed. They were prompt and courteous and did a professional job all the way around. I would recommend them for anyone with an animal problem around their home.

They concluded that our roof was secure and that the only animals that could be up there would be mice. The original plan was to set traps at any access points and then come back to check the traps. But because there weren't any access points there was no need to set traps. Since less work was needed than anticipated, they charged me less than what was quoted, which I appreciated.

The representative, Steve, arrived well within the time window. He was very considerate in that he made sure to identify himself and made a point to be respectful of my home considering he had been sprayed by a skunk on the service call before mine. Said he'd like to see if he could solve the problem without entering my home as his presence would leave the skunk odor in my home. He removed both a nest and a bird. He then instructed me to keep the microwave fan on for a few minutes to assure that all birds were out. He, then, cut a screen to create a custom guard for my vent, and went beyond the call to restore the cover I had purchased for another vent that was removed and dumped by siding installers. During this process, he educated me about the bird and it's habitation habits. He was polite/professional, friendly, neat, and efficient from a time perspective.. I considered the cost reasonable. I would recommend Animal Control Specialists, Inc. to others.

They were great! Came out right away and set traps in the attic. Within three days they were gone and haven't been back since. I will definitely call them again and recommend to all!

We did not catch anything, but it appears the problem is solved for now. If they come back in 30 days. the company will reset traps at no charge.

They were really great to work with. Know what they are doing and how to solve problems. We had the "perfect storm" of a huge squirrel population, 3 trees that met over our roof, an old roof and the worst Winter in recent history. The squirrels decided they had enough of the polar vortex and decided to chew their way into our attic. The first company we hired didn't resolve the problem, so I called Animal Control Specialists. They came out, set traps and monitored them. This situation went on for many weeks as new squirrels decided to make our house their home. A big part of our problem was that there was 3 feet of snow on the ground, so the squirrels were using the "treetop highway" to get around and that brought them right onto our roof. I got a tree company to schedule trimming the overhanging branches, but of course because of the weather, it took more than a month for them to be able to complete the job, so we had squirrel issues until the trees got trimmed. Norm III was the technician who worked the most at our house. He did a great job of patching holes and he told me what to ask for when getting our roof replaced. Save yourself some trouble - keep your trees trimmed back at least 8 - 10 feet from your roof and don't let your roof get so old that it's easy for the squirrels to chew through the wood! But if this does happen to you, call Animal Control Specialists. They are polite, knowledgeable and will help you solve the problem.

I called the company in the morning, once I noticed the dead animal in my driveaway. They picked up the phone, unlike a few other companies I tried first. They were professional and explained to me the options, as well as cost. We scheduled the appointment for later in the day. I was contacted by the actual person doing the work and he said he would be there between 11 am and 1 pm. He came a little after 11 am and the job took less than 10 minutes. Overall, I was very satisfied.

I did not care for the tone of the employee with whom I spoke. I did however appreciate the employee who took my payment and allowed use of the Angie's List coupon post expiration.

We thought that our flying squirrels were back after years of being squirrel-free. Animal Control Specialists came the same day we called them and checked the roof and we able to tell us that the flyers were NOT back. We were simply grey squirrels playing on the roof.

The reason I called Animal Control was that I was hearing noise in my attic. Since I had an isue with squirrels before, I thought they were back. After checking out my roof, he suggested that some vent screens may help in the future. They were installed the next day.

Service was fast and effective. Technician was extremely knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend this company for any kind of pest control services.

Animal Control Specialists came on a daily basis to inspect traps . After an animal was caught they came a few more times to see if there might be another animal. They were very efficient and pleasant to deal with.

Went great. They were very professional. For us, they set a trap and checked it every day. They caught two opossums and a raccoon but, after a week, no skunk. This mad us think that maybe the skunk doesn't live under our porch (or changes address frequently).

It went great. The company was very responsive, friendly, took the time to explain the habits of skunks and why we didn't catch anything during the first couple months of the process. They also explained what we could have them do to more permanently block other skunks from being able to dig under the porch. So far we've chosen not to have this work done but if other animals move in we most likely would opt to have them do this work.

The skunks were bothering us for a while. The crew were very professional and responsive. They removed the animals captured and cleaned the surrounding of the shed. The price was a little steep but the overall experience was fine.

The initial week with a baited box trap in front of the suspected animal den under the front door step yielded no animal. The box trap was removed and the den covered with loose dirt and large stone. A week later the unwanted animal returned to the den, so we called back to have the baited box trap replaced (no additional charge if within 30 days of previous service). The next morning the unwanted animal was identified as a skunk, as it was caught in the box trap. Animal Control Specialists live up to their mission - "uncompromising goal to solve every problem we encounter in a professional, expedient manner has been our continued mission". In fact, the technician on our task appeared to really enjoy his job and helping his clients better understand urban wildlife issues.

I was very pleased with the work. I gave them a "B" for price just because it seems like a high amount to set the trap with an additional cost to remove the animal. But, I could not do it myself, so decided to go with them. I was going to be out of town on their start date, but they showed up as agreed and kept in touch with me via phone. The skunk was captured the next morning, they retrieved it and then monitored the site each day. After they removed the trap, they replaced the bricks in a more stable fashion than they had been before the job. I appreciated the $20.00 coupon and would use them again.

The work went well and I liked them. I have used them a couple of times and I have recommended them to others. The person that came to do the work was nice and he came right out when I called. I think their pricing was fair.

They found out that it was mice in my attic, and explained very thoroughly to me as to why he thought this and he found where they were getting in. He explained what needed to be done and went into the attic and placed packets of poison. This has solved my problem.

He came out right away and set up the trap. Apparently, she left before the trap was set up, and we figured out that she was not coming out or was not going back in, I hired them to kind of put screens around all the openings, so, a critter cannot get into the attic. It all worked out very well.

I had called them to remove a skunk and they removed a possum instead so I was not too happy. I will never call them again. I paid $65 for removal for a possum that I did not authorize. They never called me back and never cared that I was unhappy. They did not care to resolve this with me. They are not professional.

I experienced sounds coming from an attic and basement space. The response time was immediate I called on a Sunday expecting to get a call back on Monday. To my surprise I got a call back within 30 minutes that Sunday. We set a time for Monday. Steve came within the time frame. I love this company. They are very professional and informative. Thankfully there was no break ins found by any critters. I was given some clear advice about what may have caused the noises. He was concerned. Checked the roof on a snowy day and all ground spaces. I would use them again.

I called Animal Control Specialists to catch 5 skunks living under our shed. Vince came 8/22/12 and setup trap near opening under shed that I had seen skunks use. The setup cost was $112.50 (after discount). He checked trap daily except for Sunday. We have to call by 9:30 AM on Sunday if trap is empty or be charged $15 if he comes and trap is empty. Within the first week the trap caught a opossum. I paid $49.50 (after discount) for animal that Vince took away. A little later Vince put cardboard around all sides of shed to detect where skunks were coming/going. There were no signs that any animal disturbed the cardboard. He put cage against shed with cage opening at only uncovered opening under shed so no other wandering animal would be trapped. No other animals were caught. Vince removed cage 9/4/12. Note: I calculated estimated cost on catching 5 skunks. We caught none so don't assume that you will pay the maximum.

I had squirrels in my attic and tried to no avail to trap and get them out myself. These guys were great. $105 with Angie's List coupon to come out and set up trap and monitor. Then $65 for each time they remove an animal. $150 to screen off the attic fan where they were entering. Excellent company to work with. I thought it was a little pricey but looks like they were comparable to other companies after looking around on Angie's List. They were worth the money though and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again but hopefully I'll never need to! The guy that came out was extremely professional and would leave messages updating me with what he had done and found. Don't bother searching around for other companies and just call these guys. Looks like they work with all sorts of pests.

We heard scratching sounds and running in the area of the roof and attic. We called both Critter Contol and Animal Control Specialists and they outlined pretty much the same approach, with some differences in pricing. Since we had used Animal Control Specialsts more recently, we decided to go with them. They explained on the call and after the man came to the house that they would set traps for the squirrels for several days, but it is possible that they would not catch any - they may be scared away or other factors. I had read of this happening to other customers in their reviews. He inspected all around the house and on the roof, including our chimney caps and vents, and found evidence of squirrels around the attic fan - there was a hole in the bug screen around the fan and scratches on the blades. He set traps around the fan and put a plastic covering on the fan. He came and checked the traps and covering for several days and no animals were caught. He then installed a large screen over the entire attic fan to keep out any future intrusions. We have used Animal Control Specialsts before with problems with woodpeckers and wasps. Sometimes the pests have returned in later years, but they always explain what they can and cannot do about the problem and what our options are. They have always been prompt and follow through. We like that they remove the pest and also do the repairs needed.
