Description of Work: I called and explained my concerns to Norm, the office manager and scheduled a service call. The Wildlife Control Technician(Michael) called on the day of my scheduled service to inform me as to the 2 hour window in which he would arrive. Michael arrived timely, introduced himself, provided business card and listened to my concerns. Michael was very professional and promptly performed a thorough inspection. He informed me of any problem areas and also the proposed solutions and cost. I was pleasantly surprised that when he gave me my invoice, he had reduced the service call since he did not have to come back to check any traps as there were no apparent animals present. |I would gladly have Michael back to perform additional work if needed.

Description of Work: Inspected property to be sure skunks were not nesting, identified location of skunks's activity and trapped and removed two skunks. All handled promptly. They were responsive, polite, and well-informed.

Description of Work: John set traps in the attic for flying squirrels, filled small gaps in the attic where it could be possible for the squirrels to get in, covered a hole with sheet metal near the ground and picked up some dead mice from the attic on his last visit. He is very knowledgeable, thorough and prompt. He took the time to explain what he would do and how he would do it and was quite courteous.

Description of Work: Trapped several Racoons living in my attic. Installed a protective screen around my roof attic exhaust fan. Both Norm and Norm were helpful.

Description of Work: Plastic dryer vent cover was gnawed open by squirrel and then bird started making itself at home. ACS was prompt, responsive and resolved the problem in two days. I met the technician who was helpful and well-informed; the next day he returned to clean the vent (from outside) and install a hand-built squirrel-proof metal cover for the vent. Great work; it solved the problem!

Description of Work: Constructed skunk trap for openings at a front door concrete step. After one week skunk odor decreasing without a skunk capture. Skunk probably left prior to the application of the trap, however multiple opening in front step closed with stainless steel mesh to prevent a future skunk event.

Description of Work: Setup trap under front porch where raccoon's were living. Setup fee was $135 and removal fee was $65 per animal.

Description of Work: They found the hiding place of a horrible, smelly skunk! Set a trap but it didn't come out. After a few days, they found it was dead in it's "hole" . They removed it and the world was right again. Great job. They also returned when the ground was not so frozen to close up the hole with wire mesh and dirt.

Description of Work: A squirrel fell into my basement. I called 3 animal control business. Animal Control Specialists in Northbrook was the only company that said that they would come out immediately -- within 2 hours of my call. The trap was set in the basement and within 5 hours the animal was caught. The trap was a humane, live capture cage trap. They are on the top of my list to call if this happens again, and they are my first recommendation.

Description of Work: A chipmunk got into our house and disappeared upstairs! On a Sunday! Yeah...exactly. So we called Animal Control Specialists and of course the price was very high, but what can you do. So they came out within an hour and left baited cage traps in several places. We spent the night at a friend's and in the morning came back and sure enough, the little guy was in one of the cages. So we called to have them picked up and was told there would be an additional charge to do so! As if we wanted to keep the traps and the chipmunk! Again they came over pretty quickly and removed the evidence.

Description of Work: I had a persistent nest of yellow jackets under my siding overhang right next to my front door that 8 cans of bee and wasp killer and a bug zapper parked in front of the main entry point only made a dent on. I just couldn't eradicate the nest. After coming out and doing only one treatment, the results were miraculous and the next day not a bee or yellow-jacket was in sight. I was expecting an 80% result but was pleased to get a 100%. It was a good treatment that was well worth the money. People say when they get burglarized that they feel violated, but at least burglars leave. The ultimate violation is pests living with your walls who have to be blasted and poisoned out. It all becomes very personal. once it happens to you.
