Company was contracted by local electric coop. Before start of work it was agreed that none of the oak trees would be cut down. Only faced. (4) was cut down. All firewood was to be left. It was not The trees was downed directly on the fence and gate with no regard to property. The area cannot be mowed as there are many stubs 4-6” tall that will destroy mower deck or pop tires.

The work they did was good. They need work on their customer communications and scheduling. After I signed the proposal and sent them the down payment, I didn't hear from them again until the morning they showed up to do the work. I didn't even know they were there until I heard something on my roof. I would have liked to know the schedule ahead of time. The men who showed up really appeared to know what they were doing and seemed to do a good job.

They are terrific. Great office support staff and we received quote right away. Price was very competitive. Also, the landscaper who originally removed the old tree (not Trees R Us) did not do a good job removing the old roots. Trees R Us did what they needed to do to dig deep enough for the health of the new tree. It took much longer to install than anticipated, but they did not charge more than quoted and took the time to do it right. When tree was installed in late Fall, the arborist advised us to water it a lot and we did. This has been a wet Spring in Chicago and we thought that our River Birch was getting much water. In late May it started to look distressed. We called Trees R Us and the arborist Tim came out immediately. He advised us that the tree wasn't getting enough water. He told us what to do and reminded us that the tree was guaranteed, so if we couldn't save it, it would be replaced. We used a deep water stick and watered daily and our river Birch is now doing great! Tim at Trees R Us was so very responsive and helpful! They know their business, are customer-driven and stand by their work. In our opinion, that is an A+ company that will get our return business many times over and recommend to others. Tree remains healthy. I will have them come again this summer.

Extremely hard to get a hold of. Call and left message with receptionist, was told Jim would call me in 24 hours. He did not I called back a week later stating this. Jim did call back but I could not answer. He told me to call the office back. I called twice since then. No one has picked up the phone. Thank you for wasting my time Trees R Us.

I had called and requested a free quote on the removal of a tree and was told I'd get a response shortly. After a week without hearing anything I called back. I once again requested the quote and was told once more I'd get a response shortly. Another week had passed and yet I heard nothing. I called a third time and was apologized to and told I'd have a quote within a day or so. Once again I never heard anything. I finally gave up and decided to go with another company that had responded the first time, and had given me a quote within 24 hours.

i waited on hold for close to 15 minutes. when someone did come to the phone they were less than friendly but more robotic in obtaining my info. she said someone will call me back to set up an appt. that never happened. The first call to a company should be the best call, not the worst. there are too many other companies to choose from

Tom was great. He came out for an estimate the day I called. He called me to tell me he was on his way even though this was a vacant lot. He sent me a written estimate. He called me when the work was done. He cut up the wood and placed it on my neighbors lot per her request and my approval. He cleaned up all the debris. I went to check the lot after he was done and you wouldn't know that he had even been there. Very happy with the service and will be using them again.

Fantastic service. They showed up on time, did the work exactly as described and left no sign they had ever been there. The price was great as well.

I called twice to get pricing in a full face cord. Each time I was given a different price and different delivery instructions. They said they could deliver and stack on the next Saturday. Saturday came and went and no one showed up. I followed up twice and was told the delivery man would call me back. I never received that call. So, four phone calls, almost two weeks, and NO firewood. I went with Sure Green and Unlimited Firewood out of Elgin and was pleased with their pricing and professionalism.

The estimate from Trees R Us seemed reasonable and the guy was going to do it but I guess the weather interrupted. We're having a lot of wind so they couldn't get out. They guy who came out was a decent, friendly, and professional guy who knew what he was doing. He was definitely a trained arborist. He said I could treat my Ash tree but I wouldn't be able to save it.

On a record-warm January evening a willow tree fell on our property and crushed two vehicles and damaged the roof. There was even a tree limb poking through the upstairs closet ceiling! The next morning I called Trees R Us and requested emergency service. Within 30 minutes we had a cost estimate, 30 minutes later a crew was there with a huge truck with a giant claw and 45 minutes later the job was done. Now that's what i call emergency service!

I had a tree that was growing over the roof of my house and called around for a few estimates. Trees R Us was the cheapest and I hired them to remove the tree. When they came out for the estimate, they confirmed that one of my pine trees was dead and two others had a fungus infection. We agreed to have them remove one of the Pines ($200) and treat the other two ($180) in addition to removing the Locust tree ($1300). They arrived on time and completed the job in less than one day. My only complaint is that we had a misunderstanding about the removal of the stump grindings from the Locust tree. I thought they would be removed but was surprised to see they weren't removed. After reading the fine print in the estimate again, I did see that they wouldn't haul them away. I thought the should be something they verbally tell you. Other than that, they were professional and completed the job they were hired to complete.

Trees R Us was one of about 3 estimates we received to remove a large tree and a bunch of bushes (inc grinding out the stumps of the bushes). They were middle of the road with price, but their estimate was one of the most professional (one that we got was just a total left amount on VM, not broken down by the job at all). I only have 2 complaints: 1) They don't tell you when they are coming. I understand that a lot of this type of work is extremely dependent on weather, but I would think they would know what jobs they are tentatively planning to do the next day. A quick call to let you know you are next on the list would be nice. 2) They removed the tree but then left the large trunk segments by the driveway (all the branches/leaves were gone). We weren't sure if they were left for our recycling to take or if they were planning to come back for them (we called and they were planning to come back in a couple of days, which they did). However, some sort of note that said they would be back within and quot;Xand quot; number of days would have been helpful. This was not an easy job: the tree was very close to the house and the bushes were close to utilities and required a fine hand. I appreciated the good job that they did, I just would have like a bit more communication along the way.

They were reasonably priced and they told me how they were going to take the tree down without taking down the power line at the same time. They were on time, and kept to their quote.

The whole removal, take-down and clean-up went very well.
