After getting bids from a few other companies I went with All Temp, partly because they were the least expensive but mainly because I've used them before for maintenance and they're local. I've always been happy with their service because they tell be what really needs to be fixed and not make up a whole bunch of stuff that needs to be addressed. They're always on time and professional and having my furnace and AC install was no different. They told me it might take all day but it only took them about 4 hours and this included installing a new thermostat. This issue there is that they told me they would need to pull more wires for this 2 stage thermostat and so they may have to cut into dry wall to do it. Fortunately, they were able to pull the wires rather simply so I was pleased to say the least - and that they were done so quickly. There were two guys there, one for the furnace and one for the AC. They said they would come back in May for the final check and tweaking of the AC before summer started. True to their word, they called me to schedule that appointment and came when I was available ( wasn't free for a week+). All in all, it was a good experience - at least as good as it can be to shell out that much money. In the end it was so worth it with the winter we had - I went through it without any worry that my new furnace was working perfectly.

I called two other companies first thing, neither were available, I called All Temp 3rd and they were able to schedule us today between 10-2, they arrived about 12:30 and he was able to diagnose the problem and fix it within 30 minutes and it cost a total of about $170! I was expecting a lot more!

Steve E. did a great job for us. I was quoted a service arrival time between 10am and 2pm and he showed up at 10:20. He quickly determined the problem - no electricity to the outside unit - and was able to resolve it pretty easily. While he had the cover off of our outside unit, he cleaned out a bunch of built up debris. Very friendly, made a few recommendations, but didn't try to sell me on anything....just great. This company installed a furnace for us at the end of 2013 and were excellent at following up with me (thanks Sam!) to make sure all of my questions were answered and that I was happy with the job they did. I'll definitely use them again. We did use a $30 Angie's List coupon, so my actual cost of service was $90.

Another HVAC company diagnosed that my AC unit had a leaking evaporator coil after doing a pressure test, they quoted me over $1900 for labor and installation, claiming that my evaporator coil part was difficult to get a hold of. I called up several other highly rated HVAC companies on Angie's List, all of whom told me that the part would not be difficult to get. However, some were booked past Memorial Day, and others stated that they couldn't give me a quote unless they came out to actually look at my unit. All Temp was the easiest to deal with and the most reasonably priced! I called on May 22nd, they said they could come by on the morning of the 24th, I gave them the measurements and requested specs of my unit over the phone, and they quoted me $1075 right on the phone. Troy came by on Saturday morning and installed the evaporator coil efficiently, and the price quoted was the price paid. Couldn't have been an easier transaction. He also could've been like the original company, who recommended replacing my units to try to get more money from me, but he was extremely honest and told me that with the new evaporator coil in there, I should be able to get many more years out of my unit and shouldn't even think about replacing it. I like their professionalism, courtesy. We have been dealing with them for a long time and we have been pleased with them. For their professionalism or clean up it was top-notch, very professional. I think we had a couple insurances made, replaced and they done work both times so we have been pleased with the competitiveness of the price and the speed which they got the job done.

I had a mixed experience with All Temp for my new furnace and AC. I had them give me a quote, which was for the Lennox XC21 AC, and their top of the line furnace that comes with all the bells and whistles (variable speed, touch thermostat, etc). I was impressed with the salesman thoroughness during his visit, including explaining why the copper refrigerant lines have to be replaced rather than just flushed. He did a very good job of explaining the differences from my current 20 year old system to the newer high efficiency systems. All in all, it was a positive experience. I subsequently got a quote from Four Seasons Heating and Cooling on identical equipment and the price was about $1500 cheaper than All Temp. Right on the All Temp quote is a competitive price guarantee that they will beat any other estimate by $500. I spoke with the salesman about this guarantee, faxed him the quote, and then spoke with him on the phone, He agreed that everything was identical but couldn't believe that Four Seasons would offer such a low price and that All Temp could not offer to reduce their offer or they would be losing money. In all honesty, I think I believe them, and likely the quality of the work would be better with All Temp than Four Seasons, but if you are going to have a guarantee (with fine print that even the sales manager agreed was met), then you should honor that guarantee, even if it means losing money. In the end, I did not choose either All Temp, or Four Seasons, because I liked the thoroughness of a Carrier dealer that gave me a quote for slightly better equipment.

have had problems with the units and had to pay extra to get them fixed. All Temp has fixed the problem which was a manufactures problem. They have since been very good about getting our concerns taken care off.

We have used All-Temp for years but we will NEVER use them again. When our daughter bought her house we called All-Temp to clean and inspect the furnace and air conditioner. After they cleaned the furnace they said it was very dirty and that she needed to purchase a new furnace. They couldn't inspect the air conditioner because the outside temperature was too cold. Both technicians insisted that as long as a new furnace was needed, then why not buy the air conditioner at the same time. We called two other heating and air conditioning places for their opinions. Both companies said she absolutely did NOT need a new furnace and that the technician should get an academy award!!! What a shame that more money was spent on getting the second and third opinions. All-Temp will never be at our house again.

All temp was very competitive on price, and their installation guys did a nice job. The installation included the new units and re-using my existing humidifier, thermostat and filtration system. The installation was scheduled quickly (within 3 days) and completed in less than 1 day. The workmanship appears to be very good. They cleaned up very well after themselves and showed me everything they did. They also sent a guy out a week later for a quality check of the installation.

All Temp Heating Air Conditioning Inc did everything they were supposed to do. They fixed it and we haven't had any problems since. It runs terrifically. They were professional, knew what they were doing and did an outstanding job.

Eddie the technician cleaned out our main furnace and correctly assessed the problem. This was the second time that a service technician had attempted to fix the problem. Due to Eddie's technical knowledge , I saved a major expense in a repair that the previous technician had determined that might be the problem. I will definitely continue to use All Temp Heating for our heating and air needs.

Sales Mgr responded within a few hours to an online request for quote. Gave him specs I had been quoted on by another HVAC contractor and asked for an apples-to-apples quote. He sent a proposal later that day which beat the competitor by several hundred dollars. Signed the order the next day after he came out to take measurements and photo the job site and existing equipment. Spoke about venting options for the high efficiency furnace (1-pipe vs 2-pipe system) and we decided on the 2-pipe, direct venting system. Job was set up for the next day. Install crew arrived at 8:15 am, as promised, introduced themselves. Extremely courteous and professional. Checked out the existing HVAC plant and began unpacking the new equipment and their tools. Removal of old equipment and installation proceeded smoothly. The senior tech had me review pipe routing in the basement and approve where the exterior walls would be penetrated. By about 3:30 pm, the job was done and they had me come down to inspect their work. They showed me, in detail, everything they had done, how the piping and wiring was routed, where sheet metal was added or modified. The job site was completely clean, all debris was removed. Outstanding work.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. It was a very short visit. He was knowledgeable and he was quick. He told us that our air conditioning was working properly.

From the quoting process to answering follow-up questions, to the install, to the quality check of the install, the All Temp staff were rock stars. Not one issue came up. Quote was good, but not great, but Chris kept following up where he answered our questions about the products, the pricing, and the warranty. Chris was the ONLY salesman to follow-up with us out of the 3 we received quotes from.He then got us a better price to close the deal. We agreed to all pricing and terms on a Thursday and we scheduled the install for the following Monday around 8:30am -9:00am. Installation should take 8 hours but it could be more. Be prepared etc... At 8:30am, the install guys (2) showed up to do the install. They put tarps down EVERYWHERE and went about their work letting me know every once in a while how it was going. At 1:30 pm, (only 5 hours into the job!) they were finishing the clean up and explaining the features of the furnace, humidifier, and the programmable thermostat. When they left at 2:00 pm, the work area was cleaner than when they started. The following day, as scheduled, a quality control check was done. The guy checked everything on the furnace, the duct work and the humidifier and thermostat. He answered other questions I asked, and even answered some questions I didn't ask. The AC unit will be checked in the Spring (if we have a spring) and I expect it will be just as thorough. It is sad to say, I have never dealt with a company that does exactly what they say they are going to do. All Temp is that company. Even after the purchase and the install, they answered more questions about the confusing North Shore Gas/COMED rebate program requirements. I cannot give a higher recommendation to a service provider than I give All Temp Heating and Air Conditioning.

Installation was difficult due to the location of the existing furnace. The furnace is located in the attic behind a "knee" wall. It was necessary to remove part of the wall to access the "A" coil. Adding to the difficulty was the outside air temperature. I recall it never getting above 10 degrees all day long. One of the technicians had to shovel a path from the driveway to the back yard to install the new AC unit. The installer's truck (cube van) was fitted with heat (propane) and a "brake", which was used to bend new duct work. The installer's put down drop cloths from the entrance door to the 2nd floor access to the attic. They were extremely careful to not damage anything. An appointment was set to return in two weeks to make sure everything was functioning properly. On the return visit, the technician took about 30 minutes and confirmed everything was OK. They will return in the Spring to check the AC, at no cost. All in all, they are very professional with a long history in the business. I highly recommend.

I have been an All Temp customer for many years. Recently I had an issue with a leaking humidifier for the past couple of months and many sleepless nights due to flooding but it was resolved today! They sent out a WONDERFUL tech (Corky) sp? and he was attentive and listened well to all the trouble shooting I had done personally. From what I had told Corky he was able to figure out where the problem was and fixed it immediately. I wish all servicemen and servicewomen where as good as this particular tech was. THANK YOU!!!

Had Corky form All Temp come out on Friday to diagnose our furnace, 2 weeks ago a company came out because we were having some ignition issues and basically didn't touch the furnace and told use it would be 800-1000 to repair and to just get a new unit. Corky at All Temp came out really gave the furnace a good once over, did some actual looking around a troubleshooting which the other company did not do hardly at all. Once the problem was identified, the job was done and the furnace was purring like a kitten. I suggest that if you truly want someone to come out and look at your HVAC stuff Corky is the man, very honest and will answer any questions you have and will not try to sell you a new unit like most places tell there techs to do.

The provider was reliable. There were no unexpected issues. The overall service was great.

Got a good price, friendly service and we didn't have to spend even one night in a cold house.

I was charged $120 for service fee. The part is still under warranty.

My initial contact with All Temp was with the on-call technician who promptly answer my call at 4:00 am after my furnace went out with subzero temps outside. He was able to reassure me the furnace was safe for the time being and arranged for a comfort specialist to come out first thing in the morning. Art, our comfort specialist arrived at our house as promised by 8:30 that morning. He took a look at our furnace and recommended replacing it due to the furnace's age. (The furnace was 21 yrs old). I was initially comfortable with him and the information he gave. He explained they were very customer oriented and their prices were competitive. He said they would price match up to $500. After talking to a couple of friends who recently had their furnace and a/c replaced my husband and I started questioning the pricing and Art became more pushy. At the time I signed the contract he told me he would just need $500 down and I we would pay the balance once the work was complete. When the technicians arrived they told him they would be able to install the furnace that day but would need to come back the following Monday for the a/c, which was not a problem for us. However, at that point Art changed his initial $500 deposit to $5000, which we paid. Our technician Juan and his partner were courteous, knowledgable, and tidy. Juan answered any questions we had and made us feel comfortable with our purchase again. The bottom line, I would recommend All Temp for service calls, but not sales. If you choose to use All Temp for an initial installation get at least 1-2 other quotes if possible. Our hands were tied because of the time of year.

When I called in the morning the day before I needed an appointment early in the morning the earliest was 10 am the next day. I expressed that if it could be any earlier that would be helpful. Later that afternoon I received a call that a technician could come at 8 am. (A+) Technician called before and arrived on time. Listened to all of our concerns..... answered all of our questions... fixed the problem... explained the warranty and was done in a short amount of time. (A+) Second time we have used All Temp and were completely satisfied.

The estimator appeared to be thorough and knowledgeable. We knew that we had 2 furnaces and 2 ac units; what we were told was that they were installed in a "twinned" mode which meant that we would have to either replace all 4 units (2 furnaces and 2 ac units) or switch from the smaller twinned units to a single larger furnace and a single larger ac unit. Prices for this were beyond our budget, so we opted to have the blower motor replaced on the one furnace. | |When the technician arrived to do the job (I was not available to be there), he proceeded to do the job and then to greatly upset the tenant (a 92 year old woman) with threats of impending carbon monoxide poisoning from an old furnace with a rusty heat exchanger. [He had inspected the furnace earlier and did not find any cracks; we have CO detectors in the house and have never had any alarms. If indeed he had discovered any cracks in the heat exchanger we would have immediately replaced the unit.] Our sense is that he could not talk me into replacing the unit and decided to try scare tactics with a vulnerable senior citizen to make a sale. | |We had used AllTemp to replace an AC unit at another house and had been quite satisfied with the quality of their work, but in this case the issue was their lack of professionalism and their strong arm tactics on an elderly individual. We will look for another source for future heating/cooling needs.

They explained the process fully from start to end, gave a competitive bid, started and finished the job as promised, cleaned up the job site and followed up with a check up 2 weeks later.

They were on time, did a nice professional looking install, and cleaned up their mess before leaving. This is the second job I have had them do and I have been pleased with their work and prices both times. I will continue to use them if I need any more work done. A supervisor even showed up while they were working to see how the job was going. Seems like a good solid company.
