+ -1 moreBob Lucas was very responsive, punctual, and good with communicating. He explained all the issues of the project with me respectfully. Bob utilized his expertise to locate the general region of an electrical short in the wires leading to our kitchen light in our house from 1900. My husband pulled up the floorboards that weekend following Bob's visit, and sure enough, the short was right where he said it would be. We could not have fixed our kitchen light without Bob's help! Bob also installed a ceiling fan in my child's room, even locating a few screws from his collection that needed to be used because they were missing from the kit (that we had bought). I will definitely hire Bob again!

Description of Work: I had been having partial power outages in my house that went from occasional to frequent and it was obvious that I needed it checked out. I called Bob at Hometown Electric and he suggested that I first contact Ameren and rule out any problems on their end. I called Ameren on Sunday and the Ameren lineman that came to the house discovered that I had a bad connector on my meter base, and that I would need an electrician to fix it. I called Bob Monday morning and told him what the Ameren lineman said, and he came to my house that afternoon to check out the problem and he was able to fix it at that time. | |I have not had any power issues since then, so the problem no longer exists and I'm very happy! His charge was very reasonable as well, and I will certainly use him again in the future.

Description of Work: Lights were blinking, TV was going on and off. Multiple circuits had problems. Bob Lucas pin pointed the problem replaced 50 year old parts. His long time experience made it quick so labor was low. He was honest, friendly, and knowledgeable.

+ -1 moreHave had multiple times with electrical power going out and causing power surges to electrical appliances and caused the electrical circuit board to get shorted on my stove and was worried about other appliances getting zapped. Called Hometown and he came out the next day and we discussed what was happening and we decided to install new electrical outlets for the stove and refrigerator and install whole house surge protectors at the electrical box. He gave me an estimate and was back out the next week to do the job. Very good, very fast and good price!

+ -1 moreI contacted Hometown Electric mid morning. The owner called back promptly. When I explained my problem he stated that he could be at our house to look at the problem late that afternoon. He arrived on schedule repaired the outlet; put on a new 220 cord and plug; and then reconnected the damper. He was very professional. There was no wasted time. He exuded confidence!
Description of Work: Our electric Dryer's electrical connection shorted and I needed it checked promptly as I did not know the cause or severity.
