Dave's Appliance Service

I called Dave on a recommendation from my parents, who had used him for years. He said the main pump on my dishwasher had failed and would need replaced, but it would cost over $300. He said there was a delay in getting the part, but didn't explain why. After not hearing from Dave for about a week, I called, and he said the part was still not available. After another week of no information, I called again, and again he said the part was unavailable. I called Marcone myself and got the part delivered to my house in 48 hours for less than $300! I called a different repairman who showed up that day, diagnosed the problem as a simple obstruction that he removed with tweezers, charged me only for the house call, and told me I didn't need the pump I'd purchased. When I spoke to Dave days later (I honestly don't remember whether he called me finally or I called him), I said I had it taken care of and no longer needed his services.
