They were professional and very efficient. They were fast and did a great job! The carpenter, Roy, is a very talented carpenter. I highly recommend this company and especially Roy. I will definitely use them again.

The technician was not thorough at all. I had to point out the places that he did not fix for both patio and frames. Even with that, I ended up to do some of fixes myself several days after the job.

We initially had some issues connecting up for an estimate. More the fault of my schedule more than anything else. But once they had the estimate, we scheduled the work and it was done promptly and well. Tom, the carpenter they sent out, was pleasant, professional and did an excellent job.

Jason was prompt to start work on date/time agreed. He identified problems while on the site, and figured out a solution. The work took 3 days instead of two, and required an unplanned rental of equipment, but Jason/Alan communicated it timely so we were able to agree on a reasonable extension of budget and timeline to overcome the issues. The work was done well, to complete satisfaction.

John was very prompt and very professional. He brought all the necessary tools to complete the tasks and I am very satisfied with the job. Thanks John!

All aspects of the job were handled very professionally and in a timely fashion. Roy did a very good job on the installation. Alan kept me up to date about the status of the project by phone and email. The final result improved the appearance of the building greatly and will make future maintenance much easier and less expensive.

I called Allan Carotta of Home Fixers to get an estimate for a small bathroom project. He assigned the job to Joe. Joe came on a Saturday and gave us an estimate. The estimate was reasonable and Joe was very knowledgeable about the job. He came the following Friday to replace the tiles. Since the grout needed time to dry, he came back the next day (Saturday) to finish the job. Everything went smoothly. The tiles and new toilet are up and running and looking great.

I contacted Home Fixers about the job described above and was informed that Hans would be able to come out the next day to give me an estimate and, if acceptable, perform the work. Upon hearing that someone could come out the next day I emailed Home Fixers including the exact model number of the kitchen faucet and a description plus picture of the shower faucet so that Hans could bring the appropriate cartridge with him. The positive first is that Hans is a very personable and competent handy man and the quality of the work - up to now - seems to be excellent as indicated in the grades. What I found not to be excellent is that Hans did not have the cartridge with him and had to drive off for 15-20 minutes to purchase the cartridge. Even if the exact cartridge might not have been defined by the description and picture I sent, he could have brought a considered selection to avoid an unnecessary trip. I dinged the "professionalism" of the firm for this. Finally, from reading the reviews I had the impression that the estimates given by Home Fixers were reasonable and fair. Hans started out estimating $350 (labor only) for this job - $50 coupon = $300. I had read that the installation of the Delta Touch2O could be tricky but $350 or even $300 was unreasonable. He lowered it to $250 and I trusted his estimate. He was at our place for a total of 2 hours that included inspecting/estimating the job and the unnecessary 15-20 minute trip to buy the cartridge. The charge for labor then actually comes out to just under $150/hour and I find this to be very high for a Handyman. Summary: Hans is a very competent handy man however, If I contact Home Fixers again or if others consider them, be highly skeptical of their initial labor cost-estimate for the job.

He did a wonderful job. I would hire him again.

I noticed that a piece of siding had come off the side of the house, but it was up high near the junction of the garage roof and second story side of the house. I couldn't be sure of the cause, but knew it needed to be fixed before the upcoming rain and snow could result in water pouring in through the space left by the missing board. I called Home Fixers and they had Dave contact me the same day. He came out the next day, inspected it and found that several boards were rotten and had to be replaced. He got the siding, primed it in advance and came this morning to get it installed. I had some of the old paint so he painted the siding, too. Dave did a great job and I really appreciate how quickly they responded. Disaster averted! I would definitely recommend them and will use them again.

Home Fixers was very efficient and professional. I would highly recommend them. They came out first and gave us a very thorough estimate and then scheduled time to perform all the work in one day. Hans, the craftsman we had, was very courteous and the work he performed was excellent and he cleaned everything up afterwards. In our opinion, Home Fixers was a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to contact them again if I had a home repair necessary.

I worked with a gentleman named Chris Anzalone. He was fantastic, usually when I have a handyman in I have to hold their hand through the project to let them know exactly what I need done, but with him I felt he really knew what he was doing so I didn't have to bother and could do my own thing. He took his time to do things right and also added in some helpful things that were not on my original list, and he took time to explain and educate me on certain things as well.

We need to have our windows and doors caulked. Roy came and did an estimate and Alan told us he can get it done the next week. We accepted this estimate and started waiting. After almost a month, I called again and was told to continue to wait. Luckily I found a promotion on Angie's List and that guy came the third day after I bought the coupon--it cost us less than 250 for the same job Roy quoted us on ($940). Unbelievable! Will NEVER use them again.

Very professional. What I like is this contractor was they listed out exactly what they will do, provided good written estimates on cost, and responded to all e-mails/phone calls. They also provided a 90 day warranty on their work completed and original receipt of all material transactions to prove what materials where used/required. Thanks Alan!

I'm very pleased with the work done. Hans was a pleasure to work with and look forward to using his services again. I highly recommend Home Fixers to anyone in this area.

Everything went smooth, we had no major hurdles. They were on time, very communicative about status, and worked with my realtor to get into the property without any trouble.

I placed my ad on Angie's list on memorial day. Alan responded to my request very quickly! He had his siding expert, Roy, assess my home with a day or two. Roy quoted me a very reasonable price that same day and said he would be back out within the week to repair everything. He showed up promptly Friday afternoon, and was done very quickly. My house looks great! Alan and Roy made it so easy, especially having such a hard time finding someone to repair my siding. I will definitely be using their services again in the future! After meeting a handyman and getting a quote in early April we decided to use Home Fixers. This was based on the pricing and the person we met Right before our job was scheduled to begin the original handyman cancelled on us because of some personal issues So Home fixers provided another person to replace him We were in a hurry to get this job competed because we are moving out of state and we made the clear to home fixers. the replacement they sent us was a complete joke He rushed through the whole job, did a terrible job on the shower re grout, left cracked tiles in the shower and didn't tell us, left mold in many shower tiles, did a terrible job replacing trim in the front of the shower and left screws out of the new shower door We ended up cleaning up his mess and fixing his shoddy work ourselves We did complain to Alan at Home Fixers and he did send us a 200 check to compensate us as a part refund for the 1000 we spent We did send Alan several pictures of the crappy job this guy did and he did apologize. But at the end of the day he provided the handyman and should have known this guy is an idiot and does sub standard work

Great communication, very professional. Were able to fit us in within a reasonable time given a busy season. Work was completed quickly, neatly and looks great. Price was very reasonable and they did not try to upsell. Will definitely call them next time we have a project. Thanks Allen and Roy.

My wife and I were on a tight timeframe to have a loft converted into a bedroom. We needed someone to build up a 1/2 wall to the ceiling (wall is 12 ft long), install a door, drywall, and paint. There was no electrical work required (all walls had an outlet, etc). Using Angie's list I came across Home Fixers. I'm just going to share the facts? Wednesday: I was impressed with Home Fixers ability to send someone within a matter of hours. He took a look at the job and quoted me $1,750 for the labor + material. He indicated the materials would cost roughly $500. Later in the afternoon I spoke to the owner, Alan, regarding the project. He indicated that the carpenter stopped by Home Depot, and the material would actually be $850! With the material list being so simply (2 x 4's, drywall, a door, and nails), I was a bit surprised that the carpenter was off by $350. I said "fine", and agreed for the carpenter to stop by on Thursday to pick up a deposit. Thursday: I sent a text and I called the carpenter. No return text or call. I called and I spoke to Alan in the afternoon. He indicated the carpenter was busy, but he'd try and get in touch with him, AND that he'd call me back. I indicated that I could meet the carpenter at Home Depot, so we could use my credit card to purchase the material. Alan indicated, "it's a bit more difficult than that." So...meeting someone at Home Depot became a difficult task. I never received a phone call that night from Alan. Friday: "Day of the initial build"....I received an email in the morning that the carpenter had a "family emergency". Interesting Facts: I found carpenter that charged $950 for labor. The material cost turned out to be $420!! The carpenter called in the list of materials to the same big box store. I followed up with a phone call to the store, and paid for the material. So?I?m not sure how Home Fixers came up with their revised material cost of $850.

Ken was professional, organized and generous with his time. We had bid out a few contractors and his rates were the most fair (and he had extensive experience doing similar type jobs in the area). His team was great (they even shoveled the snow in my aging Mom's driveway). Overall, very pleased with their work and the end result.

Outstanding service. I called at 2:00 today and the detector was replaced before 3:00. Hans was careful about taking off his shoes as soon as he came in the door and diligent about making sure everything was working properly before he left. Will certainly use them again for just about anything I need done around the house.

I did say that I would use this provider again, but not for siding work. I used Home Fixers before for a different project and the work was very good quality. Overall the project went OK. I did have an issue with the work being performed different than what we discussed. This was especially an issue with me since the work was supposed to fix a problem that caused my homeowners insurance claim to be denied. I had 4 different contractors (+ 1 insurance guy) tell me what the correct fix was and Home Fixers did not perform it, even though we discussed it. The worker/contractor told me that it was correct the way it is and he stands by his work, but then that means 5 other people are wrong? It seemed to me that the parts took a really long time to be ordered which was a concern since I placed my order in fall and now winter is almost here (four weeks total). They painted the wood exterior in a heated warehouse to match the color of my house, but did not use the matching color primer that I provided so there wasn't enough paint to fully cover the wood. They are supposed to be back out in Spring to finish the painting, however. Also, a piece of metal coil around my newly installed windows was damaged which they fixed after I complained. A rain splash guard was broken which they replaced after I complained but the new one is a different color than the rest. Also I could visually see gaps in the caulking which they fixed after I complained. A pet peeve of mine is contractors/workers who do not clean-up after themselves. After I complained, a person did rake the area and move some extra boards to my garage, but there are still nails in my yard. If my riding lawnmower gets a flat, I will submit a bill for a new tire to them.

They were excellent. It was a good deal. They applied a sealant and painted everything to match. It was very neat and clean, and I plan on using them again.
