I called them on a Wednesday and they were able to schedule the work for that Friday. Hans showed up on time, carefully listened to what I needed done, and explained how he thought the work ought to proceed. Once I approved the estimate, Hans went right to work and completed the job in a few hours.

Friendly, timely, convenient. They charge by the job.

It went very well. Handyman sent us "Dan", who has had lots of experience with all aspects of plumbing, electrical work and carpentry. He knew just what to do. He was also very understanding while we resolved a problem with the upstairs neighbors who were dragging their feet about repairing a leak from their bathroom. Dan had us shop for the tub, toilet, vanity, medicine cabinet, tiles and fan. He purchased the wallboards, replacement studs where needed, electrical equipment and other building materials. He showed us the receipts for what he purchased and we reimbursed him for exactly what he paid with no mark up. Total material, between what Dan purchased and what we purchased was about $2000. Thus, the whole new full bathroom cost us less than $5500.

This work was done in January of 2008. Handyman connection was contacted to give estimate on above work. Corey came out, wrote out the estimate, gave me a supplies list as to how much flooring I needed to buy, the kinds of doors, etc. I hired him to do work. He was very punctual and gave me his cell phone number to call if I needed any advice when getting all the supplies necessary. Once I had all supplies, we scheduled a date for the work. He completed the basement flooring first and then worked on the doors and closets. After installing the front door, I noticed a draft coming through. Corey came back out and took care of the problem. The basement was a challenge as I have a pool table down there that needed to be moved. Corey was good natured about it and lent a hand with several of my friends to move the pool table aside so he could lay flooring(and it was a very heavy pool table). Corey was a very hard worker and loved to whistle while he worked!! The only problem I had was I initially ordered the wrong front door from Corey's supply list. He had inadvertently had me order a door that opened on the wrong side. It was very easily taken care of. I took the door back and they had the right kind of opening door in stock. It wasn't a big problem.

I surveyed many people at my work for a plumber they would recommend, but no one had one they would recommend. After reinstating my Angie's List membership, I went with Handyman Connection based on their glowing reviews. I also thought that they would be a good group to go with, because if I liked this initial service, I could go back to them for future projects. The service reps from both the initial call to them and the follow up appointment set up were VERY cordial and professional. So different that what I'm used to dealing with for home service companies. They set up an appointment to have Pete come out to give a free estimate and do the work. Thankfully, they didn't give me a span of eight hours that he would be there, they narrowed it down to an hour. On top of that, Pete called 40 minutes before my appointment time to ask if he could come early! Pete was fantastic to work with and even though he was stumped my initial sump pump issue. We talked through my options and came to the best one for the time being. He explained that I may need a new sump pump once the Spring thaw comes. I will definitely call and ask for him to replace the pump in a month or so. I'm so happy to have found our own handyman!!!

GREAT. Roy Svoboda, the representative from Handyman Connection, came by, evaluated the job, explained the repair, estimated the repair, showed up promptly on the decided day of repair and completed the repair the same day AT the estimated cost. Neatly cleaned up and removed the debris. The work was done 30 September 2008.

This is the second job that Handyman Connection had handled for us in the span of one week (the first was fixing the leak). The contractor showed up EXACTLY on time, diagnosed the problem quickly and got to work on writing up the services. The price was better than expected, and he ended up taking care of a few extras for us in the room to make a future paint job easier for us. The cost ended up being slightly higher than estimated because of some materials, but very minor and worked in our favor overall. He was professional, very knowledgeable and gave us lots of great information that will come in handy for future projects. I will definitely be calling Handyman Connection again, and have already recommended them to some friends looking to have some work done.

Art showed up on time, took a few minutes to look at the problem from the inside of the house and then went up on the roof to take a look. This was two days after the first snow/ice of the year, and this didn't slow him down at all. He found the problem quickly and had all of the work done quickly and fairly quietly. Before doing any work, he took time to write up a detailed proposal of what he needed to do and answered all of my questions. After finishing the work, he gave us another writeup of the exact work that he did. He also gave us a coupon to save a little cash and had come prepared with the materials he needed for the job. I have already called them for a quote on a second piece of work related to some water damage inside the house.

Very nice, conscientious, cooperative, efficient. Pleasant to deal with, I was very nervous at first because I had never had people come do work like that before, my husband used to do all of that. I will hire them again.

Vern at their office explained their procedures, and said he'd call back to set an appointment, based on which person was right for my request. He called back quickly-I think it was the same day. The gentleman who came to the house(Art)was prompt and informative. He gave me an estimate for the work and scheduled a return for the next day after he had purchased materials. I initially called about the vent boot because of a comment by the home inspector at time of purchase. The flashing did not look properly secured. Art recommended replacing the boot and the surrounding shingles. This was a timely visit because when we went to inspect the vent on the roof, we noticed three pieces of siding had come off the back chimney. That was included in the work estimate, and everything was done by the next day. It's a relief to have these items off the repair list!

Very well. Pete came out on Saturday, gave two estimates on different ways to go. We agreed on a price and time for the following Saturday. Pete called to say he'd be a half hour late but arrived within that half hour. He completed the work within the 4 hour time frame he gave us. Pete is very personable. He did timely work in a neat and clean manner. I would call the company again and ask for Pete.

I don't remember the name of the contractor, but he was friendly and thorough. The contractor was able to order the parts and offered to perform the work even though we were out of town on the weekend the parts came in. The work site was left relatively clean, and all the work we asked for was done on time and well.

They are very professional. They do what we want and need done and they always clean up when they are finished. Never leave a mess when done. They are very prompt.

In future, I will be very specific in my questions (I purchased some replacement tiles which were available at Home Depot, but I mistakenly thought she said Century Tile, further away and more expensive). Also, I thought it was expensive for the work done but she did a very good job.

On time, clean, friendly, worked hard, and knew what he was doing. Very, Very Good! We believe the pricing was fair. (Ceiling fan and light fixture were already purchased. We were told which chain store to purchase the recess lighting cans and trims from.) The request was first made for 12 cans so he was doing us a favor by doing the other 6 cans and working on a Sunday. It would have been very difficult for us to arrange to be off on a week day and my father in law who had been there before could not be there again. (We were charged more for his working on a Sunday. THIS was OK, but I was not informed beforehand that I was being charged a higher rate because it was Sunday until I paid which makes sense.) He made sure we understood all the things he did and why. That he basically did the work at cost. We were happy with the company and plan to use them again for future house upgrades, I highly recommend Handyman Connection. They did not treat you as if your job was too small for them.

The response to our request for an estimate was well executed. We have decided to go with another contractor because of 1) price, 2) convenience; hired contractor will provide all supplies necessary to complete tasks. But will definitely call them again for smaller projects.

I was to buy the tile and I never did. My first impression of his quote for tiling the main bath was good. However, weeks later when I tried to talk to him about coming back he probably thought that I was giving him the run-around and seemed less interested to do the work--figuring I'd call back when I was serious.

This was not the best experience. It started when the painter didn't show up for the initial appointment until I called to ask where he was; about an hour late. Painter used white paint instead of primer (though he claimed it was) and then said there was a "moisture problem" because it didn't dry quickly (can said 4 hours between coats). He was there for nearly 8 hours, but only put on one coat of my yellow paint. The paint job was splotchy and uneven. I called the next day to complain - about 3 times. I repeatedly asked the office staff to send someone out to look at the job, but only got excuses. At one point I was told that "if my job was important to me" I'd call back because they had "1000's of jobs". Eventually got ahold of Mr. Carotta and e-mailed pictures. Then someone came out to look at the room and arranged to come repaint the next evening. Cost me an extra $100 to fix their mistake. There 1 hour, put 2 more coats on, room looks fine. But he got paint on my carpet.

Jason arrived on time with a partner to begin the work. The work took most of the afternoon to early evening. Jason assessed the required materials, purchased the materials and commenced the work. The work final result was impeccable. He did an excellent job in repairing the post (replaced the wood and painted).
