Fair, overall... On the good side: tree removal went well, came (the 1st day) when promised, reasonable pricing On the bad side: did not trim 2 trees as requested (trimmed way too much and removed all privacy we needed to keep), had to come back to finish work 2 more times (final visit was 6 weeks after starting project... very aggravating). Hint: Do NOT pay-in-full until 100% of all work is completed.

I needed a large tree trimmed in order to allow full sun to reach my roof for solar panels. I hired G&C Tree Service and was very specific when explaining the reason for the trimming to the business owner, Lupe, who performed the work estimate. I also reiterated this to the workers prior to any work beginning. G&C Tree Service proceeded to trim some lower branches off of this tree and charged me $600. I expressed concern to the workers as the work was being performed, they proceeded to argue with me and eventually called Lupe to come speak with me. Lupe told me they would take care of it, and the workers cut a few more branches off. The next day when the sun was up, I noticed there was the exact same size shadow on my roof, so the trimming had accomplished nothing. I had a second company come out to see what could be done, this company told me that as a result of the work that G&C performed, the only option remaining was to remove the entire tree. I was told me this company that had G&C not did anything, he would have been able to perform the proper trimming which would have allowed full sun to reach my roof. After this conversation, I called G&C tree service back to explain the situation, I was told they would give me a full refund of my $600. This conversation took place on August 24th, and I have still not yet received the refund. I have been calling daily to ask about the status. After several promised timeframes for G&C to deliver the refund came and went, they are now ignoring my phone calls. I feel tricked by Lupe as I was so clear on the reason for the trimming, he assured me over and over they would be able to address my concerns. After Lupe told me he would refund my money, I hired another company to completely remove the tree. Now I have ultimately paid an extra $600 for nothing.

The crew arrived ahead of schedule. All was done inside of two hours. The area was thoroughly cleaned up. Stump was removed carefully due to presence of gas line. All was done for $450.00

Lupe and his crew were very professional. The work was done when scheduled and exceeded our expectations. They cleaned up the lawn when finished (lots of wood chips from stump grinding). We would not hesitate to use them again and we can confidently recommend them.

Company was very responsive and price was excellent.

This was a big job in tight quarters. Two of the white pines were located in the narrow side yard. Another was just off of an alley next to the garage. The cypress was in the front side yard. Removal required a crane. The originally scheduled date had to be moved back because of torrential rains. It was still very wet when the work was done but the crew was extremely careful to put down plywood to protect the yard. They were amazing. When they finished, it was barely apparent that work had been done. The only give-away were the piles of wood chips where the trees had been. Ralph, the arborist, was wonderful and personable. Everyone was professional and curteous. I highly recommend G & C.

We did have a small issue with 2 of the trees not being trimmed high enough. C&G responded in person to my e-mail within a half hour and returned 2 days later to complete what we wanted. Very good customer service

We hired them to remove some trees and come back at a later date to grind some stumps under a fence we were going to remove. We were asked to pay in cash, which they came to collect with no warning at 9:30 PM several weeks after they removed the trees, and they did not give us a receipt (or any paperwork at all). When we asked them to come grind the stumps, they had no record of having agreed to do so and said they could not come at the time we had discussed.

These guys are simply the best. Responsive, thorough, technically adept, hard working and all for a fair price. When they leave your yard they clean it up like they've vacuumed.

The supervisor was very courteous from our first call to the completion of the job. He gave a clear description of how the job was going to proceed, and that is exactly how it went. The crew did the job very professionally from start to finish, making sure that all objects in our yard were out of harms way. They even compacted the loosened soil after the removal of the stump. Removal of the branches and trunk sections was done very neatly and final clean up could not have been better. All in all we were very impressed as to how smoothly and quickly it all went.

I had two trees removed by the outstanding, hardworking, professionals at G & C Tree Service at my home. Their price was excellent and the crew work seamlessly together in a rapid and efficient manner. The tree climbing arborist of the crew was able to scale and cut down a very large tree that was surrounded on two sides by hazardous (in my opinion) electrical utility lines and on a third side by a gazebo and another tree. I did not think it even possible for a person without benefit of a cherry picker crane basket could perform such an operation, but he did! They also cleaned up the entire area following completion of the work and removed all brush and branches from the yard too. I could not more highly recommend this organization.

This company did an amazing job. We called and asked for a quote to remove the trees and had one within a day. Once we decided to go through with the service, they were available to start the next day. They were punctual, professional, and thorough. Their quoted price was low and reasonable and our lawn looks better now than it did before they arrived. They are easy to get ahold of. They work hard and are respectful. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Service was excellent ! Their price quote was the lowest of all the tree services I contacted. G & C employees are very efficient. I highly recommend them and will be using them again.

I called G&C one evening. They cam out to give a price the next morning. He said he could do the work that day and he did. They were there earlier than their estimated start time. His crew was professional and courteous. The neighbor was not happy that they were cutting their tree, but thats waht they get for not maintaining their property. I had them cut right at the property line like I am allowed. The neighbor tried to tell them they could not, but they know what they are allowed to do. They never went on their property because they used a bucket truck. They also cleaned up very well.

The whole team is very professional. When I called they had a guy to give me an estimate within 2hours. When we hired them they were able to do the job the next day around 1pm. But they were very early and started the job at 8:30Am. We will use this company again.

Company came out in the morning and provided a free estimate as advertised. They provided a specific price. They were then able to come out same day and worked for a few hours, sticking to their original price. No fuss, delivered the desired service competently for the price they requested without any frustration or trouble, and were thorough in cleanup afterwards. Look forward to using them again.

They showed up when they said they would. Did every thing we asked them to do and cleaned up after them selves. Awesome job, great price!

After I called for an estimate, he came out within 2 days and gave me the $950 estimate. A week later I called and told him I wanted to go ahead with his $950 offer. They promised to be there the next Friday at 8:30 am and they arrived on time. I'm very happy with their service!

I thought the price was great compared to others and they came right away, did good work, and left. I would use them again.

Everything went fine. I would highly recommend them. It took them a little longer to do it, but I realized that the branches were up over the house and some of them were over the yard. They were very punctual. They did a very good job cleaning up. The job took maybe an hour and half longer than they said it would. They were very professional. They had three guys, somebody climbed up on the tree, and they cut the branches down for us. They came back down and they put my wires off the house. Then they put the wires back up my house.

They have very reasonable prices. They do good work. They work hard. I use them every year. Their quality has always been great. In the past, everytime I had a tree taken down by somebody, it was awfully expensive. When this guy came along, he did the work at half the price. I use him every spring. The last time I used him, he charged me $500. He has taken down big trees and has not charged me more. He is punctual and stays within the budget. I will continue to use his services in the future.
