BEWARE! Do not answer your door if these guys come knocking! We made a huge mistake trusting these people. We got siding and gutters. The gutters are good. The siding is awful. They used the lowest quality siding. It is too thin and doesnt meet our village requirements. The siding was installed too tight. We started hearing cracking and popping noises immediately. We were told this was normal for a while. After a couple of months a lot of the siding started bucking and looking super wavy. We called numerous times and after 6 months they replaced some of it. But guess what! It started happening again! Even their installer admitted it was cheap Siding! We had two other siding contractors come out to look and both told us it was very low quality siding and will only get worse with time. We have called Sentry and left many messages. Nothing! Please stay far away from these people! Our house looks awful:(

They came out to my house and knocked on my door. We agreed to have them inspect and file a homeowners claim. It turned out our insurance company had increased our deductible without our permission. (That's a whole other story.) Charlie said the owner had agreed to cover half the deductible, which was great. He then called and emailed me repeatedly, and when Safeco said they would pay to replace only half the roof, he said they would help us get the entire roof approved. That was in the fall, and I guess it got too close to winter, so he decided to just start ignoring my calls and texts asking for his help in appealing to the insurance company (which he had promised to provide). Even if the insurance wouldn't pay, we still planned to have the roof replaced at our own expense. But since he started ignoring my calls, he lost a sale. I tried the company office number and it went to voicemail and eventually I started getting a message saying it was disconnected. This is unprofessional and makes the company look really despicable. I wouldn't recommend them to mow your grass, much less put a roof on. They are liars!

They took a large deposit upon signing.we were told they would start in two weeks. It went on for about three plus months before it was done. We kept calling and they kept lying and saying they would start next week, you're third on the list, etc. horrible experience, but I think we were lucky to get it done at all. We have some moisture in the attic, and no answer. All their phones are disconnected. I assume they are out of business.

Deposit of 9K+ , Contract stats installation of full project in 3 to 5 weeks. Contract signed on July 8. Roof work done in August. Never completed siding work. Told that they would get back to me.(never happen, not even once) After Dozens of phone calls was finally given siding install date of Nov 13th. That never happened. They told me it was to cold to complete the work. Yet on Nov14th the installed siding on my Neighbors house in 18 Degree weather. Asked for Refund. Was told their attorney would write up release.(That never happened) On Dec 2nd I receive email that they still want to complete work and if I want a refund they would keep 25 % of total job for lost income. Have my attorney contact them and their attorney to work out settlement. We were told that they would set date to complete work. Never heard back. All phone numbers for the firm are disconnected. They have stolen over 3K deposit for siding work.

Our last contact with Keith at Sentry was Nov. 4, 2014 with a promise that our warranty and release of any lien documents would be mailed to us. Sentry has been non responsive following two additional attempts to obtain the documents promised following our legal agreement. We hope that Angie's can help us to get our warranty and release of any lien documents. We signed a contract in August, 2013 with Sentry to replace our roof, siding, soffit, and gutters. We were promised, by Steve, that the whole project would take approximately 10 days to 2 weeks with the work to begin within 2 weeks. The first time Sentry crews appeared at our home was Oct. 4, 2013. On Christmas Eve, 2013, we noticed water on the ceiling in 5 different rooms in our home. Sentry was notified of the leaking roof and advised that final payment could not be made until the cause was resolved and the building permit was closed. Sentry responded with a law suit dated Jan. 24, 2014, demanding full payment, forcing us to spend thousands of dollars to defend our position. As a result of the law suit, a mutual agreement was reached that included full payment and held in escrow until the work permit was closed, at which time we should have received these documents. Sentry has long been payed in full and we have yet to see any documents. Entering into a contractual agreement with Sentry has been the most regrettable experience we have had within the 30 years that we have owned our home.

It took until about November 2013 to get the chimney repaired. After numerous calls and coaxing to proceed with the rest of the work, we were able to get roof replaced May 2014. Gutters needed to be replaced and after further calls and prodding to Sentry we got gutters replaced around August 2014. The interior back dry wall was never replaced and the bricks on rear wall weren't replaced as per contract, Sentry just mortared up the crack, however Sentry told insurance Company the bricks needed replacement and interior dry wall needed replacement. have not had that completed to date. Our garage roof is slanted and about to cave in. The village contacted us about repairs, we have been contacting Sentry every week and there are only promises and excuses, that is IF they return calls. Apparently, Keith, the owner, is in meetings 24 hours a day and cannot return calls, he mostly communicates through text, will not provide email contact, since the email contact we have is not valid anymore. I called the main office several times, understandably frustrated because the woman who answers always says Keith is in a meeting. I asked her where our project was on the schedule, if she could look that up. She said she doesn't have the schedule. I asked her if I could speak to his assistant or the assistant general manager or the like who would have access to the schedule and she said she was that person. iIsaid "the assistant general manager doesn't have access to the project schedule? I find that hard to believe." She became belligerent, rude and displayed a total lack of customer service/problem resolution skills.i asked her to try to comprehend our frustration, that we paid a lot of money and Sentry has done very little.Every time Keith said he would come out to look at the damage, he doesn't show up. How Keith says he is sending a carpenter, they never show up.. 3 times no show. Keith spoke to my husband before Halloween and said the work was going to be done, my husband said the contract lists a storage pod be delivered to clear the garage for work. Keith said he was getting quotes. A few days later a storage pod suddenly appears. Well that was 5 weeks ago and work still hasn't commenced and no communication as to when it will. I texted Keith 3 weeks ago and said our garage has been cleared for 3 weeks. He replied "I was just waiting on you to get the garage empty I will call my guy now and schedule a time for him to complete the job will let you know when I get an answer thanks". That was November 11,2014. Have not heard one word.. I texted him November 21 to ask if he has a date for the garage project and I have to receive an answer. The few times my husband was able to speak directly to Keith, my husband had to tell him what repairs were needed, Keith is completely in the dark about the items listed in the contract. The woman who answers the office phone number has told us that Keith is the owner of Sentry. The garage damage from the initial tree strike has worsened over time and Sentry's neglect. I sent a picture to Sentry in October 20 of how the garage roof is caving in and the overhang is falling further and that I feared the whole thing will collapse. Keith said "Cody will call you." Cody, whoever that is, never called. Weather has been Sentry's excuse many times. the weather has been wonderful all spring, fall and up until now. I would not recommend Sentry to anyone.
Description of Work: Steve Graf at Sentry worked with the Insurance adjuster to extract the most money out of the insurance company. Two trees hit our home and garage in December 2012. Overall we were extremely satisfied and impressed by Dennis and his team. Great communication. Things done when promised. Great quality and follow-up, including the repair of 6 window screens which were torn during the course of the work. . If you get work done by Sentry make sure to ask for Dennis and his team.
Description of Work: As a result of earlier storms we experienced wind and hail damage to our home. Siding was ripped of one side of our home. We contacted Sentry for an estimate on what it would take to repair after talking to a few neighbors who have used them previously., plus some comments I saw on Angies List. Dennis from Sentry came out to our home and inspected the siding and roof for damage. He recommended we file a claim with our insurance company. He took all the information and his company did the legwork to file the claim on our behalf. A week or so later the insurance adjuster came out to assses the claim. Denis came out the day before and marked the damaged areas to make it easier for the adjuster to spot and to ensure he did not forget any damaged areas. Denis spent about an hour reviewing the damage with the adjustor. He used his negotiation skills to ensure that we got the settlement we were entitled to. A few days after the adjustor cut the settlement check, Dennis came out to do his own measurements to ensure it mapped to the measurements of the adjuster. After remeasuring and taking photos, Dennis found the adjustor underestimated the claim. In the end he worked with the insurance company and was able to get an additional $5000 above the original check of $19,000. The Actual Work: The work was done over 2 days. Day 1 was Roofing. This team of 6-8 guys were very efficient in the tear down and shingling. The end product looked fantastic. New everytihng related to the roof including a replacement attic fan. They did a great job in clean up once the job was done. Day to was Siding. Again the same professional job was done. All the siding was replaced along with a few downspouts. The materials were high end vinyl 4" siding. A quality job and the clean up was fantastic.

Matt, representative, initiated our business with a door to door sales visit. Matt met with our insurance inspector to get the insurance claim started. Matt was successful in getting a full claim for our entire house - siding and roofing. Matt also got additional money for other items, such as minor water damage in a room and gutter damage. Once approved by our insurance company, it did take a few phone calls to Matt to get samples in our possession. We also asked Matt for customers in the area - to see exact color samples- but never got the list from him. The overall quality of the roofing and siding is top quality, compared with other company offers in the area. Both the roofing and siding come with longtime warranties. Matt was willing to negotiate with us and our insurance claim. With a sign in the yard, referral and a small part of our gutter money, Matt was able to consume our insurance deductible. He also gave us free instillation of an attic fan and the decorative shake. Matt also allowed us to do the repairs on the water damage, for part of our claim money in return. The roofing materials were dropped off to the house on the date scheduled. The roofers were on time and worked the entire day. This group was very professional and cleaned up well after completion of the job. The following day, the group of workers arrived to do the siding. They did arrive at 6:30 am, which I felt was very early for me and my neighbors. This group was not as conscientious and I did end up with many squashed plants and flowers, as well as ripped screens (which Matt did warn us to remove, a fault of our own). I also want to mention that I did notice two of these workers on separate occasions go behind our shed or our air conditioner to urinate. VERY unprofessional. Sentry was unable to finish our siding in the one day- as the wrong color decorative shake was ordered. We were told it would arrive 2 days later, however, waiting the 2 days and over the weekend and an additional day, it was finally completed. On a positive note, Jeremy in the main office has been very patient with us and our mortgage company in receiving payment. The mortgage company has been requesting additional paperwork and hoops to jump through, and Jeremy has accommodated all of them. He is still working with them to get all of the funds. Overall, my experience was not entirely positive. Matt reassured me "we are on Angie's list" when asked for references. However, this is the first review. I think I would use this company if you are looking for a high quality of product, but may search elsewhere for better overall service.
Description of Work: Replaced roof and siding to house, following a hail/storm damage report. Added aluminum shake as an upgrade feature, per our request.
