Snell Plumbing & Heating

Thanksgiving morning I woke up to no hot water. I called Snell and left a message. The next day I talked to Mo and by 1:30 the day after Thanksgiving Mo replaced my hot water heater. He went above and beyond and I am so appreciative. I have used Snell for years and this is the kind of service that they provide.

My existing system failed and Snell was able to quickly get the new equipment and get it installed.

Service tech informed me one of my units had a freon leak and needed to be fully recharged. He advised I replace the entire unit as he could fix the leak he saw outside but said there could be another leak he couldn't see and I may have to pay another 600 bucks to recharge again! This seemed like an obvious pressure tactic, I didn't bite, there are cheaper ways to detect and repair leaks than recharging with expensive freon and waiting. The call went downhill from here as I asked him to check my other unit before making a service decision. He wrote the issues with the second on the back of a coupon and I have been trying to call for a week for clarification on the note and to get a rough estimate. I understand it is a holiday weekend but a ten minute call is not too much to ask for customer satisfaction. I'm sitting here having spent 130 dollars with no real service having been performed.

Snell's were excellent to work with throughout the entire project. Due to the weather, the work they performed was done in multiple stages at no extra cost. They were prompt and efficient. We made several changes throughout the course of the project without hearing any objection or seeing any substantial price increase. They were great to work with.

I followed his advice and contacted another HVAC company and plumber. I was disappointed in the time I spent on this endeavor with Snell.

It went well. They came out the very same day I called. Looked at the air conditioner, let us know the compressor had died. Salesman came out the same day to give us a price on a new one. Within 5 days we had a new air conditioner. Showed up when they were supposed to. Did a great job.

Holes had to be cut in 100+ year-old 3/4" oak floors and ducts squ-e-e-e-z-e-d into existing cavities, wells dug and plumbing and electrical rerouted. I figured the place would be trashed. I am a DIYer, almost never hire work out and always believe that there is some aspect of every job that I could have done better. In fact, I had planned to make the floor register openings myself, but really didn't have time and let them do it. What a pleasant surprise! Any mess (if there was any) was cleaned up every night and I found no aspect of any part of the job I could have done better. The workers were punctual, professional, intelligent and very personable. Great crew all the way around and the results have been very enjoyable. Our home is always as cool or warm as needed and my savings on energy costs amazing.

The air conditioning stopped putting out cool air on Wednesday night. I called Thursday morning to another company and told they could come after hours at a price of $120 before they even did anything or I could wait 2 days for an appt during working hours. Then called Snell. They told me someone would be there by 10, and I had called at 8. He arrived at 9:15, fixed the problem in a little over an hour. They told me on the phone the service call was $60.00. He found two wires that were burnt up, replaced these, and charged me $65.50 total. The guy's name was Bill. He was very nice, courteous, and had the problem fixed in no time. Will definitely call them again if we need it repaired.

Their prices are reasonable. They provide good service.

They are very reliable, punctual, and clean. Their people are friendly. I would certainly recommend them.
