Great! I have had trouble before getting someone to bid on work possibly because I was in a townhome and I have to have Association approval. I received bids that were higher but Thermalcraft had a quality product and service that was the best fit for me. From the sales meeting to the installation I was very happy with this company and my door looks great!

Prompt estimate done quickly. no sales pressure. Started work sooner than anticipated and finished when promised despite rainstorm interruption. Office, estimator(owner), and crew all courteous and professional.

They were absolutely wonderful. They came when they said they would. They were prompt on their appointments. They kept us informed during the work. The people who did the work were courteous and immaculate.

Called them. Told them about the crack in the windows they put in. They order a new one right away. Came in, put it in. Perfect.

This is the second time we have used Thermalcraft, and once again, we couldn't be more pleased with the result. The crew workers were industrious and fast, and we now have a beautiful set of doors. The two windows we replaced were the only windows that weren't Thermalcraft installs (we originally decided to leave those two alone because they were newer), so now we have a complete set of their doors and windows. The property looks great and we are extremely happy with the work. We always recommend them to people looking for new windows!

I got bids from 5 companies and they were the second to least expensive. The windows are of excellent quality and qualify for the tax credit. Their installers came on the exact date and time I requested and did an excellent job. They ran into some problems with rotten wood but fixed everything perfectly at no extra charge. I could not have gotten more skilled and professional installers, and the window look wonderful.

I met with Mr. James Nelligan, president of Thermalcraft, Monday June 15, 2009 for a siding, window, door estimate, then I went to his store in Villa Park 2 days later with a proposal he faxed me explaining to him that Alside the company that makes the siding does not make foundation vents to accommodate the new larger 1 1/2 " profile siding I wanted. I asked for a couple days to rethink what I want to do now after rejecting his offer to make a big piece fit into a small piece and for me to contract with him now. I declined; I wanted a couple days before letting him know what I wanted now before signing a contract. Mr. Nelligan then told me, " This is going to drag on forever and I know why other company's did not want to do your work (not true, why if true would I tell him something like that ?)" he then told me, "Have a nice rest of your life." I then said, "I will, and you too, goodbye". All I wanted was a few extra days to consider what other siding he could install for me, and giving him a detailed list of my project so he could make a thorough contract. Mr.Nelligan's first proposal did not include in writing a lot of things we agreed upon verbally. I guess business is good - he just lost a $15,000 contact because he couldn't wait a couple days for me to submit in writing what I wanted. In my opinion, I question who is writing these glowing reviews for this company ?

The workers at Thermal Craft Inc. were really quick. They came on time and got it done fast. They didn't leave a mess. I was really happy. Their pricing was very reasonable. They were very reliable.

Great. We got full value for our buck. Having dealt with them before, I felt confident that the job would be done correctly and it was.

Jim came out and gave an estimate. We checked other estimates. He called periodically to see if we were still interested. After comparing prices, we found his to be the lowest price for vinyl windows. We also looked at wood windows but decided they were too much money to spend on this house. We signed the contract. We wanted oak trim inside the house around the windows. We were told we could stain it ourselves to save money. Two weeks later, I asked Jim if he could deliver the trim before the windows arrived so I could stain it before it was put up. He graciously accommodated my request. This made it a lot easier as I did not have to do a lot of taping around the window to stain the trim. I also asked for a week delay after the windows arrived as we wanted to go out of town. He was gracious about that also. Windows were installed in three days. Workmen were professional and cleaned up after themselves. All window treatments were rehung after installation by the crew including a decorative stain glass panel I purchased to hang in front of my bathroom window. It was indeed a pleasant experience. They also covered all trim on the outside with aluminum to match the trim around the windows. (Color of painted wood was different originally). The bow window was not as deep as the original so they replaced the aluminum soffit above it and did a professional job. Scheduling more than two weeks was my choice--checking out other companies and personal reasons.

All old windows in a 1920's building. I was very pleased with the price, and have used this company in the past, so I'm familiar with their quality installation and products. Just need a bigger budget!

Barry Nelligan arrived at my house (at 6 pm for our 6:15 meeting) to discuss replacing the original French style casement windows in my 1923 Georgian home. He looked at the outside of the house and asked to see the windows from the inside. We went inside the house and he took a look around. His assessment of our request for a bid to replace our windows was as follows: You have very nice, original wood, casement windows that you will probably want to keep. Any replacement windows that you install will decrease the amount of natural light that comes into your house. I would recommend that you paint/fix the windows that you currently have. I really appreciate Barry's honesty. He could have attempted to sell us an entire house of replacement windows, at the expense of maintaining the character of the house/neighborhood. Instead, he used his experience/knowledge to point us in the right direction. While we did not end up purchasing replacement windows from Thermalcraft (or anyone else), Barry's honest, straight forward advice was greatly appreciated.

This is the second time we have had these guys out to work on our windows. The first time we did everything on the front of the house with vinyl replacement and the rest of the windows got new storms. About a year later we decided the storms were a bad idea for the kid's rooms and we asked Thermalcraft to come back and quote the 5 children's rooms windows. The cost was about $400 installed for each window. They do a tip-top job. Both installers I have met are very friendly and professional. They are prompt and a pleasure to do business with. I'm not convinced that their installation costs are the lowest around, but they come in with such respect for your home by covering the floor with tarps and cardboard, not to mention great respect for the homeowners, that I think they are well worth it. I love the windows too, much better than 50 year old single pane!

We got proposal from 5-6 companies around the area. Thermalcraft was not the cheapest but the price was very competitive. They called us 3 weeks after signing and informed that they have the materials. The work took 1.5 days. The installers were very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. The workmanship was of high quality, all windows were well insulated, looked very neat and clean. They cleaned up everything after the work was done. We are very satisfied with the product and service.

They are really good. They were professional and courteous. The price was reasonable for the quality I got. The quality of service was really good. Their punctuality was excellent.

Overall, a very good experience. Barry provided a detailed quote and walked me and my wife through the entire process. Workers arrived on time and were done within a day and a half. There was a small problem with the wrong caulk on one of the windows, but upon noticing it, they remedied the problem immediately. I would recommend Thermalcraft.

We had them estimate the window replacement in early Oct, placed the order in mid Oct. and it took 6-8 weeks for delivery. The only real downside to our whole process was that we weren't contacted until 2 days prior to installation (that the installation was happening that week). They did an incredible job installing casements (some were nearly 80" tall) in downpouring rain and cold weather. They cleaned up quite a lot after themselves, nothing was visible indoors that they had been there - we've recently been finding the caps to their caulk containers in the yard, but otherwise it was meticulous. They were careful of our cat (locked in various rooms) and they were very flexible and responsible all around - answered our questions and even thinking ahead in our improvement projects and how their installation would impact them! I would absolutely work with them again.

Great care, honest people. The door was perfect. I plan on using them in the spring to replace our front windows.

The job was beautiful and professional. They were wonderful to deal with. They had two workers who came out to do windows. They were very clean, professional and nice. The owner comes out and talks to you when you first contract the work. They were accommodating.

It went great. They were the fastest to respond to do an estimate, and the estimate was done and printed on site that day, the only people to do so. We went with them after looking at some other options. The day of installation, they were there on time, and they did the best windows install job I've seen(had 3 jobs in my home owning history). They were fast, clean, and efficient. The first day, they did 8 of our ten openings in about 5 hours, with the remaining two involving some cutting. They did those the next day. There was a small broken piece on one of the windows that was delivered that way from the factory; they fixed it the next day. Everything was well sealed and well insulated. The installers were nice to talk to, very careful, and did a great job.

The end result was excellent. Getting there was a little rocky. Once they had the deposit they slacked off a bit but all in all it was an ok experience. They'd indicated their installers were "part of the family". I don't know that I believe that exactly but the installers were very good.

They were excellent. A few years ago they replaced a different window and installed a steel door for us. They did such a good job we had them come back for an estimate on this new project. We got a comparison bid (from another vendor on Angie's List) - Thermal Craft definitely had the lower bid. The entire process was great. Jim came to our house, showed us our options, gave us a contract, etc. The workers were polite, professional, punctual and assertive. They cleaned up all debris and were very attentive. We are super pleased. The only glitch was that when I called the office a few days after Jim gave us the estimate, and I told the woman on the phone we were ready to make a deposit and move forward, she insisted Jim needed to come back to the house to get the signed contract. We settled on faxing it in - which was much easier. (since both my wife and I work).

Initial visit was good. I think we had a pretty good idea of what we were ordering and the time frame for production. I say pretty good because the call for installation was even sooner than expected and the quality of the windows even better than expected. Perhaps I have been 'trained' to expect less in general or perhaps they just under-sold and over-delivered. Either way, our expectations were exceeded. Installation day went well. It was cold but they did their best to minimize the amount of time an area was exposed to the cold. They were also neat and did a good job of protecting the areas from a lot of extra debris (some is to be expected, of course). They look great and there is absolutely no air leaking through. I just thought it was inevitable to have a little air leak through in the coldest of months but now I know it is not! The only minor suggestion I would give them is to call the day before to remind of the date and time for installation. As I rearranged furniture and moved things away from the windows the evening before there was a slight panic of 'what if they forgot?' They didn't and glad I hadn't either. The buzzer rang 5 minutes prior to the time I was promised. This suggestion is not enough to alter my experience.

They were good. We are going to use them again. They were fairly priced. They did what they said they would do and did a good job. The windows are double paned storm windows and they are of a good quality.
