Barry was one of three contractors I contacted for window estimates. From the initial in-person estimate to signing the contract, I felt at ease with Barry. He explained the types of windows he sells, went over the installation, and answered my questions. I also liked the fact that ThermalCraft is a family run business. On January 11th, Ron & Pete were right on time for the installation. They placed drop cloths on the floors, and covered dining room furniture. Luckily we had decent weather and they were able to complete the job in less time than predicted. They cleaned up after themselves. Ron talked with me about how to operate the windows & clean them. Everything went smoothly and I am happy with the work they did. I will definitely call ThermalCraft for my future window needs!

When these guys tell you they'll be there at 8 in the morning, they'll be there at 8. In fact, they were here at 7:45. No screwing around. I like it, except I was caught in the shower. In any event, they went straight to work. Again, very efficient and very clean, laying down cloth tarps to protect our carpet from getting dirty. They answered my questions about the existing quality of the window framing, and a general inquiry regarding insulation in the house. The new windows (these guys only sell Alside windows) work great so far, and by my guesstimate, don't leak nearly as much as the original windows we replaced. There's five or six more windows we're looking to replace, and we'll stick with Thermalcraft for installation of those windows.

Following some research on Angie's list I decided to contact Thermalcraft to set up an appointment to discuss our need to replace the front and back doors on our home which is approximately 25 years old. Jim Nelligan.company president visited our home within a few days as we had arranged. He was prompt, courteous and professional. He reviewed many options with my wife and me and took down the necessary measurements for the work requested. We had originally planned to get a couple of estimates from other Angie's List recommendations but ultimately felt comfortable with Jim's knowledge and the experience of his company in successfully handling our replacements. The work was scheduled for 11/17/11 and that's when the work began. On 11/18/11 the majority of the work was completed, except for a couple of internal wood strip panels. The panels which the installers brought with them were not the correct color match. They agreed to return with them after Thanksgiving and followed through. During the installation of the front doors the crew mistakenly removed a couple of ornamental pillars on either side of the front door. They too were also replaced shortly after Thanksgiving without question. By mid December we noticed that the weather stripping on the bAck door which we had replaced was loose. A week later Thermalcraft sent a repairman out to replace the weather stripping. He told us to let them know if there are any further issues and they will take care of them. The doors look great from outside and in and have also eliminated drafts from the fron and back of the house. We are pleased with the work and materials that Thermalcraft utilized with our remodel. We will definitely considering using them for window replacements when our budget can afford it.

I got a few quotes for windows. Thermalcraft was the lowest price and higher or same quality window. Thermalcraft was honest and up front with the job and the quality window. It was straight forward from start to finish. It was a pleasure to contract an honest company that does good quality work.

I was very pleased with the results. I found them through Angie's List. I found them to be extremely professional. They did their job very well and very efficiently. Their price was quite good. They were very responsive. They basically did everything they said that they were going to do and they did it in the time frame and the cost with no hassle. I will definitely use them again in the future.

We have used Thermal Craft about 5 or 6 years ago to have a steel door installed and they did a fabulous job and that's why we call them out this time. However, this time, we weren't quite as happy. Some of the work was done very well but we also had some concerns. The mason did a very good job. We have a brick home and removed two windows to put in the doors. He had to make the opening longer and had to make it narrower. The gentleman who came out to install the doors was very professional but we had some concerns. We called them out and they said the door was installed properly. There was a lip of about 1" which we hoped could be made smaller and we were told that was standard. So, in that case, we are going to have to put a wooden sill (which I thought they would do) to make the transition look better. We also had shades put in between the doors and their was a problem with the shade. When they came out about our concerns about the door they said that they would have the door company come out and fix this. I waited two weeks and hadn't heard back so I called and within a couple of minutes heard back from Armstrong Doors. When the gentleman from Armstrong came out I asked him about the rolling screen door and he said that he works with Armstrong so he called Thermal Craft while he was there and said that they would have someone come and look at the door. This happened to be the day before Thanksgiving and I did receive a call from Thermal Craft on Monday and they came out again this past Saturday. It is my understanding that they couldn't do anything with regard to the screen door and the trim work around the door was not done well at all. So they caulked around the door and it looks better but for what we paid, I was disappointed in the work.

The company was a joy to work with from start to finish. They answered all of my questions. They did a great job with the installation. The new windows look great and add so much to my house. They were so easy to work with.

Overall an A rating. We interview 3 other companies, Thermal Craft were the only one's that made recommendations instead of just agreeing to what we said. Very professional.

Within the past couple years, we had been experiencing water leakage into our home during heavy downpours. We determined that the home's original wood windows (approximately 28 years old) were thoroughly rotten underneath their aluminum capping and allowing water to get trapped in the wall and run down from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor. Thermalcraft was recommended to us from another contractor we had previously found and used through Angie's List. The high recommendations on Angie's List helped us decide to get a quote. Pat from Thermalcraft came out, took some measurements, and thoroughly explained what they would do. We were unsure of the wood laminate look and went to their showroom where Pat's brother was also very helpful in showing us some examples of how it would look. We decided the laminate was a close enough match to the rest of our home's trim and molding, and the cost savings and longer warranty of vinyl versus wood replacements made vinyl the right choice for us. We received quotes from three companies in total. All three companies were A-rated through Angie's List. In all cases we were looking at vinyl replacements. Two of the companies sold Alside, and the third sold Millguard. Thermalcraft's pricing was much better then the other company selling Alside, and extremely close in pricing to the company selling Millguard. Bottom line, we preferred Thermalcraft's straight forward and honest attitude, and their agreement to pre-stain the window trim ahead of time (saving us the effort) sealed the deal for us. The installers, Ron and Pete, were on time for the installation. They listened to my installation concerns (rotten wood, damage to drywall during install, inspect for additional water damage) and took them into consideration. They worked quickly, tried to keep the mess as contained as possible, and cleaned up nicely after themselves. They even helped by removing, and re-hanging some of the blinds and curtain rods which saved me a LOT of time and effort. We have had a couple strong storms since the installation and have not experienced any water leakage. We look forward to seeing what impact the energy savings traits of the new windows have on our heating bills this upcoming winter. We will definitely do business with Thermalcraft again. Come next Spring we intend to have them return to replace the remaining 16 windows on our house. I am going to request Ron and Pete as the installers again. Overall, we've been very happy with Thermalcraft.

Called this company for an estimate on caulking on exterior windows. They returned my call immediately to advise that this is not the type of service they provide. While I couldn't actually use their service, I was very impressed by their courtesy to respond to my query right away. When I do need more significant service to my windows, I'll try this company again.

We got this company's name through Angie's list and we contacted them and Barry Nelligan came out to give us an estimate. Overall we had an excellent experience from the sales representative to the installers who did a fantastic job with the installation.

Everything went very well from start to finish. The windows are beautiful. A great experience.

It went very well, from getting the quote, to the final installation, they were professional, on-time, and on budget. The quality of the windows seems as good or better than windows I have seen for twice the price.

Everyone I dealt with at Thermalcraft was very professional and helpful. He was on time for the estimate, for the date to measure/sign the contract and the installer was also punctual, neat, professional. Both were nice guys as well. Pat even suggested transferring the deadbolt from my old door to the new to save a bit of money. The price was the lowest of three estimates I got, all from highly-rated companies - almost half that of the highest estimate. The doors look great and feel solid, and the installer worked quickly, very neatly and did a fantastic job - replaced the casing, weatherstripping, threshold and caulked the whole thing inside and out. I would definitely use Thermalcraft again for doors and would have them do an estimate for windows or siding if I needed it.

From the very start, dealing with Thermalcraft was a pleasure. The estimate was right on, and the choices were numerous. The work on my windows and door was completed in a timely fashion by skillful, pleasant workmen. After the first summer season, I immediately noticed a drop in my electric bill, and the same was true for the natural gas bill in the winter months. The new windows and door definitely improved the overall look of my home. I am very glad that I chose this company and would recommend it to anyone.

Due to health issues with cold air, I needed my windows replaced as soon as possible. Every other dealer I contacted was 6 to 8 weeks. I read Angies list and found the more expensive dealer I planned on going with was not the best. Thermalcraft had good reviews. The owner came out to the house right away, was able to give me a FIRM install date in 4 weeks (no one else did 'firm'). They installers were very fast and thorough, getting the very, very old window and parts out completely. They did a great job caulking the windows, which is important to me for insulation. I waited to see how the windows would be through the winter. They were very secure. The noise from the street and parking lot by my building was amazingly cut down, I could sleep much better. The windows are very warm and secure. They were also easy to open and close. They are also very good in appearance.

Very easy transaction, the owner explained the various benefits and warranties of the product. I did consider window replacement, but wasn't sure I liked the new vinyl windows for everything, so I went with the storm windows, which are very nice, and provide an extra barrier from cold and heat. They were very flexible on installation dates, and worked with me to find a good date to install. After seeing the full replacement window installed, I kind of wish I had gone with replacements all around, but I am happy with my choice. The new storms made the house look better, and they work really well. I would definitely use these guys again, and am considering them for a patio door replacement as well as siding.

Jim the owner arrived at our home, on time, and quoted us on the work to be done. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The windows arrived sooner than the initial date quoted which was very nice. But, the evening before the installation was scheduled we needed to cancel due to family illness. Everyone that I spoke to at Thermalcraft was very understanding and kind. On the rescheduled date the installers arrived on time, were neat, clean and efficient and did an excellent job. It took approximately one half day to complete the work. The windows look great. This was one of the best experiences we have had with a service provider in a long time. They completed the project ahead of schedule. The workmanship was excellent. The two workers were outstanding and very hard working with long days starting at 7:15am. One worker did cut a shade cord when installing a window which resulted in the shade being un-useable. John the Supervisor said he would replace it, we have not heard back from him. Ovearll I would rate Thermalcraft very high and would use them again.

We liked the quality of the product. We liked the windows they were installing and the warranty. They give you a 10-year warranty, but the windows also have a lifetime warranty.

It went excellent, and had previously done our windows. They cleaned up well.

Easy process with Thermalcraft. Called them up based on Angie's List feedbacks. Jim came by and gave the quote on the spot with his portable printer. I decided to go with them on the screen door and patio door purchase (decided to go with another company for my window needs as ThermalCraft carried Alside widow which wasn't what I wanted). Their price was right and their service/attitude were great. I had to push the installation back by a few months due to construction delay at my renovation, they had no issue with that whatsoever. Come installation day, two men crew did the install in about three hours, professional, clean and courteous. I'm so satisfied with them that I'm a repeat customer with them already (in the process of getting additional work done with them).

Overall - really good. First time buying window replacement so I do not have a comparison to a previous experience. Two guys showed up on time and 4 hours later 4 windows were installed. I was surprised how well they were able to install the windows without damaging the paint job of the interior window sill. They installed white primed trim on the inside. I've got no complaints. Did get a quote from another Angieslist, highly ranked window company, but ThermalCraft came in lower with many more reviews. We will use them again later to as we continue to replace our 20 year old, original windows.
